I just had a really great experience- and it revolved around a minor car repair.
The check engine light in my vehicle went on a brief while ago. I was immediately irritated, because I've only owned this vehicle six months, and I had a full mechanical inspection completed before I bought it.
However, I spend a LOT of time driving these days, and I don't want a breakdown at an inconvenient time (not that it's ever convenient). So I had stopped at an auto parts store and had them throw a code reader on it. The code reader said it was the EVAP solenoid, so I bought the part.
I know I don't have the patience or mechanical know-how to try to replace it, so I started looking around. None of the friends I asked had a good, reliable mechanic they could (or would) recommend. I went to Google and found J-Sun Auto Repair. Based on the Google reviews (all five star), I decided to give the shop a call. It turns out that J-Sun Auto is a one-man shop, so when I called, I got the owner, Jason. I told him what kind of vehicle it was (Chevy Tahoe) and explained the issue to him and that I already had the part. He said it was pretty quick fix and that he could get me in today. I drove right over, and he got me in and out in less than 30 minutes for a VERY reasonable price. Honestly, I was (and still am) shocked at the whole experience. The price was fair and reasonable price- and it was done quickly and efficiently. When I started probing a little more about his business and philosophy, he let me know that he's been in business over 20 years and just believes in being fair and honest. He said that if he can't figure out what the problem is on a vehicle, he'll let you know.
I don't know about you, but that's the kind of person I want to do business with. If you want honest, fair, reasonable service, look him up. Jason @ J-Sun Auto Repair (off Potter Rd/C St. @ 907-727-1209. (Tell him Sheli sent you!) read more
