There's so much tension around my neck that i can't even move sometimes. I have tried so many other places that cost more but not nearly as good as Trevor. They either had light hands(I like real deep/heavy massage) or couldn't get the deep tissue spots. However, Trevor paid extra( I mean really EXTRA and DETAIL) attentions to particular areas that need most help and he knows what he's doing as a excellent professional massage therapist. You really get more than what you pay for. Definitely will go back to him for 100% sure.

In other massages I've often felt like they are simply running me through a routine - covering all the bases, but without too much thought. Brian was different: his work was very thoughtful, and he was very attuned to what areas needed work. I'm not really the type of person who tells their the masseuse/masseur what to do, so I've often bit my tongue and let them spend lots of time on, say my calves, when it was my shoulders that really needed the work. By comparison, I could tell Brian was actively searching out (and finding) the problem areas, and I was very happy with the work he did. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy, and the room was clean. The massage cabin is out back, and I was very impressed to learn that Brian built it himself.

This is a repost of a review that I wrote last year, with a few edits for updates. The reason for…read morethe repost is that this business has recently changed its name, so I wanted to help by leaving my review under the new business name: I received 4 massages from Joe last year (2021). I felt comfortable around him right away, which helped me to relax. One thing that I definitely noticed is that there was very little chit chat during the first massage. Just a little brief chit chat here and there. I appreciated that not only because Joe wasn't too chatty (he and I did chat a little bit here and there, though, which was nice), but because I have received massage from over 70 massage therapists in the Seattle area over the past 20 years, and there are very few therapists that I feel comfortable enough with during the FIRST session to not feel at all compelled to chat with the therapist quite a bit during my massage. I usually want to know who is massaging me! I get curious about the person!! Haha. I can honestly say I've never received massages quite like the massages that I received from Joe. I enjoyed some interesting stretches, some neck work that felt very needed, and some great mid-to-low-back bodywork. Part of my Deep Lomi Style massage was done with me positioned side-lying - my favorite position in which to receive massage. I had checked in advance with Joe via e-mail about his safety procedures, and they're sound. He was able to leave the window open (at my request) during my massages, and he had an air purifier going also. He wore a mask for the entire duration of the intakes, the massages, and the check-outs. The music was soft, not too loud or intrusive, and it provided a lovely background noise. The lighting was perfect for me, I prefer the lighting to be slightly darker in the massage room since it's more relaxing for me that way. Joe checked in about the level of pressure, and he was very open and responsive to my feedback - which he strongly encouraged me to give - about level of pressure, position of my body and head on the table, preference for bolstering, any areas to avoid or go lightly on, type of oil used, and anything else that made the massage experience truly special. I felt that Joe went above and beyond to make sure that I felt cared for and attended to. Usually when I review a massage therapist here on yelp, I explain that I graduated from Port Townsend School of Massage in 2016 - however, I have never practiced massage professionally, since my life ended up going in a different direction at that time. So, I know a bit more about massage therapy than someone who doesn't have this particular educational background. I enjoyed my massages with Massage Reimagined Magnolia, I would receive massage from Joe again, and I would highly recommend this business to anyone who wants a truly unique and special massage experience.

There is a calmness there. The office feels peaceful and grounded, almost like the whole place is exhaling. Even the trees feel happy. I have been receiving bodywork and practicing in this field for 27 years, and Erick is truly one of the most gifted practitioners I have ever experienced. His balance of acupuncture, Thai massage, intuition, skill, and genuine human connection is rare. He has a way of knowing what your body needs, even when you don't quite know how to explain it yourself. Every touch feels intentional. Grounded. Present. Like he is listening with his whole being. There is something deeply heart-centered about the way he works -- you feel cared for, held, and seen. I have also taken his Thai massage courses, and the skills I learned from him have deeply shaped my own practice. His teaching is generous, clear, and rooted in years of real wisdom. I am incredibly grateful for what I've learned from him, both as a client and as a practitioner. A session with Erick doesn't just end when you leave. It stays with you. Your body remembers it. Your nervous system remembers it. Your heart remembers it. He is truly one of the people I am most grateful for.
