We were visiting Seattle and wanted to watch the USA game, but our hotel bar was closed. We decided to walk down the street and ended up at JJ's, and we're so glad we did! When we arrived, there were only five locals sitting at the bar and Darnel tending bar. We grabbed a couple of seats, and before long we were all cheering on the game together like old friends. Darnel was incredible. He was bartending, cooking serving the food, and keeping everyone happy, all with a smile. The food was excellent, the drinks were great, and the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and genuine. What started as a backup plan turned into one of the highlights of our Seattle trip. Meeting the locals and spending the evening at JJ's gave us an authentic Seattle experience we'll never forget. Went up on a Wednesday afternoon, my wife and I questioned the lack of customers and cars in the parking lot due to the economic situation, HOWEVER, the drinks were delicious and well poured and these wings the bartender made were 7 stars! The vibe was good the wings are amazing! The service was above average and pleasantly surprised with the friendly atmosphere. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is the music!!! The ppl working here are barely 21 and the music surely reflects that. Everyone drinking was older generation for sure so the music needs to match. Been driving past this place for 2 years thinking it looked like a really cool spot to grab a drink. And boy was I right. The place feels a lot bigger inside than it looks on the outside. The parking seems small but fits a good amount of cars. The bar had great lighting, and when you walk in- to your right there's 2 pool tables and to your left there's another room with electric darts all along the wall. We ordered mac & cheese, 12pc honey chipotle wings and don julio w/ grapefruit juice. Mac & cheese came in fried bites form and it was crunchy and cheesy. The wings were a great size, large and covered in sauce. I'd definitely come back for the wings! Bartender was a sweetheart, and made sure we had everything we needed before we digged in. Large space, bathrooms are clean, a lot of tables and chairs. Great spot to grab a drink, some food and enjoy the vibe! Week 26/52 in my endeavor to try one new (to me) local spot per week! For those who don't know... I play darts. Bar darts, not steel tip. If you're ever at a dive (most likely) bar, and there's big, electronic dart boards? I play on those, competitively! It's not like the Olympics or anything. It's just a bunch of people who can aim decently but like to drink beer at the same time. We have leagues, tournaments, competitions, etc. Anyways, I digress. League is BACK "post-Covid" (although we're still very much in a pandemic), and our weekly league took us to JJ's! I'd say the atmosphere is very comparable to any other dive bar. Layout is nice, bar staff is really kind, and the owner is often there, hanging out and mingling with everyone! If you check in on Yelp, I think you can even redeem a high five or "hello" from him. LOL I haven't had food here yet, but it all smelled great. Drink prices are comparable to most other bars as well. All in all - it's a dive bar! And it's a great dive bar experience at that. Friendly people, clean environment... Can't really complain. Looking forward to playing here more. read more

Ineeda is the best bartender in the area! Love the energy and they have pull tabs! First time for me playing but it was worth the $10 even though I lost. Friendly local vibe with nice patrons. The food, get the TACOS. Literally they have some of the best street tacos. Get the Jalepeno Poppers as an appetizer, delish and fresh. We decided to try this lil spot as it was close to our hotel. Just wanted some wings and thought we were gone just order n go but we ended up staying all night. The food ( wings and salad was great but the fish and chips left much to be desired) and the service started out a lil iffy but got better. It's a little bar with pool tables and darts, they had a live dj and was doing karaoke but I ordered a beer and we didn't leave because the music was awesome and we met many cool people there. Discovered this great dive bar last night for NYE. The KJ karaoke DJ was pretty nice and the crowd was pretty diverse and friendly. I love love the interior of it and my only complaint was the bartender was a bit of an assclown. I have the curse of being a very bubbly person which makes me come across a little loud and happy and I guess he thought I had been drinking before hand and only let me have one drink. I didn't even get any of the NYE champagne maybe get to know your clientele first before making baseless assumptions but other than that it was a good time and I'll go back again and hopefully he won't be there. read more

We met up with some friends from out of town at Redondo Beach. None of us are/were familiar to the area and we wanted to find a little pub or bar to have a drink. After a bit of driving around and not finding anything, we came across J J's Bar & Grill. It's nothing to write home about, but the people and drink prices were great! The bar tender was friendly, the people were all welcoming, considering we were the "newbies", and to top it all off.....they even served us cake! A man graduated from college and they gave everyone in the bar a delicious piece of cake, now you don't get that everywhere. Over all, it was a great place to sit, relax, have a cold beer, and chit chat with the locals. If I'm in the area again, I will be going back to try some of the good looking fish n chips that were being served. P.S. Between 7pm-8pm the drinks are half off! :-) read more

Thursday is free pool night and also league night. Nice people. Is a bit of a local dive but in a nice way. The help is a little grumpy sometimes, almost as if you are inconveniencing them sometimes when you order. I always send my husband because I don't like to deal with them but my husband doesnt seem to get that treatment. Me and my family came here on my sister's birthday looking to dance and karaoke and have fun. As my mother said, "we should have known something was up when I sneezed about ten times upon entering." Karaoke was fun and pool was good, but then the owner tried to charge my brother for someone else's drinks, and after my brother corrected him and got the bill straight, the owner fixated on my brother and threatened to call the cops. Very uncomfortable time and very dirty and grimey spot. Upside was the service from the waitress and karaoke, downside was the dirty facility and the untrustworthy owner and the atmosphere he created. It appears to me that he tries to put his friends' drinks on unsuspecting strangers' bills and then gets aggressive when called out. I will never return and will tell everyone I know to avoid this joint like the plague. I chose one star to get my post submitted but the truth is zero stars - don't go there. read more

My husband and I went in about 9:40 knowing they close at 10 PM. Instead of being greeted or letting us know that the diner section was closed the gentleman said we close at 10. All we wanted was a beer we had just landed from the airport. Again could've offered a drink at the bar verses approaching us in a way where we just felt unwelcome. read more
