We have bee going to J Grooming studio for about three years now since we got our bichon. Julia does an amazing job. She was really good with providing feedback on how to train my bichon for her haircuts. She also lets me know if a hairstyle might not work for my dog because of the type of hair that my dog has. When I have a hairstyle I want my dog to try, I show it to Julia and she knows exactly what to do and how to make it work for my dog. I really like the service where the dogs get dressed up and take a studio picture. I like that it is an added bonus to my dogs spa day. Our dog loves going to Julia and enjoys her time there, she is always so eager to go to get her hair cut. The studio is by appointment only and they only take 1 to two dogs. I usually schedule my next appointment after my dog get groomed so her appointments are consistent. The shop is clean and has a very welcoming atmosphere. I like that it also has a cute set up. The prices are reasonable for the services provided.
We live in town, but drive out to Ewa side to get our fur baby groomed at J Grooming Studio. Even though there are other locations closer to our home, this is the spot we choose to take her. We have only had the best experience here and I love the themed photos we get of her afterwards. This month's theme is Harry Potter, which is one of my most favorite movies of all time!
This place is great! Cute doggy salon. We moved to Ewa Beach and needed someone more local to us. I decided to give them a shot. Boy! They did not disappoint!! Consultation as soon as you enter the door. Prices are posted and reasonable. No kenneling and our pups were ready on time. We will definitely return.
We never took our dog to be groomed before so we were pretty nervous. Since we live near by we decided to give it a shot. Inside was very cute and felt welcoming. The staff was very friendly and welcomed our dog. They did inspect her to see if she had any cuts/problems. We decided to go with the teddy bear haircut. Afterwards, we fill out a card which was essentially a new patient card with our information and our dogs info. We were given a 2 hour wait time which is fine by us. After an hour and 45 minutes passed we got a call that our pup was ready. We came to the door and noticed a puppy that looked totally different from 2 hours ago. She looked so cute!!! We were so impressed. They also took a picture of her and they emailed it to us 2 days later. I would highly recommend!!
I called for an appointment for full grooming and we were able to get an appt the following week! Majority of grooming salons are booked out weeks in advance. I brought my baby, Yoshi, in to get fully groomed and opted for the package for sensitive products, teeth brushing, and nail trimming. The groomer asked if she could hold Yoshi while I was there so that he could get used to her as he gets quite nervous when meeting other people. I thought this was such a king gesture and truly shows that she cares. I was quoted that he would be done in 2 hours and she was right on time! The salon is so clean and the owner is so friendly. This is my new grooming salon for Yoshi!
I have been going to J Grooming Studio for 2 years now and I love how my sweet miniature schnauzer always looks and is after every grooming session. Julia and Jin are AMAZING. They're always so welcoming and sweet each visit. The studio itself is always clean, cute, and always decorative. We've been to a handful of different groomers on the island and I am glad we have found J Grooming Studio.
I have a Pomeranian with A LOT of fur who has never been to a groomer before so I was very worried how he'd behave... (but he did so good TYJ). The interior is so cute and they provide such high quality service. Prices are reasonable as everything is priced by your dog's weight and fur length. Bear came back home smelling amazing and so soft. We didn't want his fur too short or too long and they did it just right! I got an email later that night of his little photoshoot after and I could not stop smiling. Cutest thing ever! Would definitely be coming back. Thank you from Bear!
Another quarterly spa session for princess Leilani. Once again, Julia takes such good care of her and we're so lucky to have found her.
So happy that I found this grooming salon on Yelp! We used to bring Buddy to Pet Smart but it's difficult to get an appointment with a specific groomer. J Grooming Studio is so close to our home like 5 min away, it is located in Ewa Beach on the second floor above Boba Cafe. It is a locally owned business and it is by appointment only. What's cool is they take a photo of your furbaby with a cute background and email it to you. Buddy has already been there 3 times and we just love how clean and cute he looks after his full service grooming session.
I was nervous since it was my dogs first time grooming, I loved how they called me asking if it was ok to shave him down because the deshedding not much was coming off. They called me when he was ready to be picked up and he looked so amazing ! I was so happy and he got a lot of compliments coming back home . They were so patient and loving to him & the pictures they take are precious for memories! Definitely so happy we found our groomers and will be recommending them to family & friends ! Your fur baby is in good hands!
All I can say is, we found our furever groomer! We've been to multiple grooming salon and for some reason was never satisfied either with the customer service or the outcome of the cut. I stumbled upon their IG page & instantly booked an appointment for my Junior Bear. The day of our appointment we were greeted at the door by a kind welcoming lady whom JB seem to like right off the bat. As JB was getting groomed they called to mention had matting around several parts of his body and they asked if it was okay to go ahead charge me for the de-matting fee which I was totally okay with. I appreciate them letting me know ahead of time because there been groomers who would tell me the total of the service at the end & I would just be shocked. When I arrived back at the salon I was in awe I could not stop thanking them for good they made JB look! I guess we will be taking a drive from Kalihi to Ewa Beach every other month to visit our new favorite place. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!
Love, love, love this place!! We have been to several different groomers in the past with our two dogs and there was always something a little off that didn't make me feel 100% comfortable being there. From rude/grouchy groomers to one's who did the complete opposite of what we asked...J Grooming has checked off all the boxes and then some. I called the salon and was able to get an appointment within that week! From the moment I booked the appointment I was treated with courtesy and professionalism. Julia is SUPER sweet and made us feel welcomed while taking great care of our boy. Julia sat down with me and went over what I wanted while taking down information and I did not feel rushed or pressured into anything at all. I love that they have a no kennel policy and really dedicate their time to your dog. The interior of their salon is so cute and, most importantly, extremely clean! It is a little out of the way for us, but honestly totally worth the drive. We are so happy with the cut and the service and the super cute pics they sent. Definitely highly recommend!
Great service, loved it. Did everything perfectly, even with an inexperienced dog! I was pet-sitting my dad's little chihuahua mix for a few weeks and the dog, Leia, usually stays outside in a dirt-filled fenced area. When I started watching her, she had super long nails and her fur was brown from the dirt. She's such a sweet girl but just doesn't get enough love since she stays outside. She's relatively young and very excitable/not trained very well but the groomers were happy to take her. In an hour, they turned her from dirty, to white-furred again and happy! They washed her with a special shampoo for her sensitive skin, cut her nails, and somehow managed to get her hyperactivity down enough to take an adorable Christmas picture. I will definitely take the dog back here when I pet-sit again. The place is also 1) easy to find, 2) cutely decorated 3) super clean. Highly recommend!!!

I recently visited J Grooming Studio after finding them on Instagram. As soon as I walked in, I was met by the friendly staff. The salon was extremely clean and inviting. The staff was very informative and attentive to my dogs needs. I requested the herbal pack bath and a trim for my 10 month old Maltese puppy. I was thrilled when I picked up my puppy because they did such a wonderful job! She looked and smelled fabulous! I could tell by my puppy's demeanor that they totally pampered her and she was a happy customer! They definitely treated my puppy as if she was family. It's very obvious that they take a lot of pride in their work. I was even more surprised by the more than reasonable prices! They offer first class service at an affordable price! I have since recommended J Grooming Studio to all my friends! Thank you very much J Grooming Studio for the wonderful service! read more

I was told about this place from a friend and I'm impressed! It's such a cute, little studio with reasonable prices and the girls working there really take care of your dog. They went the extra mile to make sure my Bella was clean and happy. Bella had her photo taken and got a cute bib. It's kind of a far drive for me but they really know how to groom Bella to my liking. They make my Bella and me happy and that's what matters. You can tell that they love what they do and they love their fur clients. I'm so excited for Bella's next appointment with them! read more

Julia is the best! I have a mini Bernedoodle that absolutely hates being groomed. I stayed with Luna for her grooming to make sure she wasn't too much for Julia to handle but Julia was so great with her! I am extremely happy to find a groomer who is both patient and kind :) We are a customer for life! read more

The best grooming services you could find on Oahu! I am very satisfied with Julia's work on my pom, Mochi. He looks literally like a teddy bear! Love it! I haven't gotten any haircut like that elsewhere! Their shop is very clean and the experienced groomers take such a good care of your pups. Also they take the best pictures of your dog after grooming. You'll love it! read more

I've been going to Jin for my Furries for over 5 years since she was at PetCo. I'm happy she opened her own shop which is cute and friendly. I could of looked for another groomer at Pearl City PetCo since it's a lot more convenient for me but I'd gladly drive the extra 5 miles to Ewa where she is now located Jin does amazing work and I don't think I can trust anyone else for all my Furries grooming needs read more

Just moved from Kaneohe to Ewa. Julia provided a great cut - I think the best one for my Cavapoo to date (I keep him short since he likes to play in mud and jump into the water when at the beach). I'll probably drive back to Ewa if I move closer to town. The grooming studio has a great vibe. read more

Jin and Julia, they both are very professional and warm hearted. I got my dog groomed both bath and haircut. I couldn't find any good hair salon in the state side until I meet them! Whenever my dog goes grooming, he gets super nervous and crazy. They treat dogs with full of love and actually care. It is very private and focus on only one dog at a time. Their price is very reasonable and I highly recommend them. read more

Jin has been grooming Appa for years now. Pre-Jin my little Appa-girl seemed be a little anxious diva with the groomers and hated the kennel she would have to go in. I was thrilled to find out that Jin only grooms one dog at a time. Jin was very loving and gentle with Appa from day one! Each subsequent visit Appa would get easier to groom. I loved how Jin would tell me how much better Appa was getting and how proud she was of her. Jin really took the time to get to know Appa so her experience would be pleasant. As for the grooming, Appa is always so gorgeous! She's a maltichon so I'll let her grow out fluffy and then have Jin cut her super short. Jin cuts Appa in a way that when she starts growing back she looks even more adorable! The studio is very cute and immaculate. I love the photo shoot at the end of each appointment. Parking is convenient. The prices are reasonable especially for the amount of pampering and the undivided attention given. Lastly, two family members started taking their fur babies to J studio and they both received the same top notch service! I highly recommend this place. read more

As a parent of a puppy, the first thing I think of when I send a puppy to a grooming shop is that the puppy is less stressed. Whenever I take him to the shop. He is very excited. They don't put them in a kennel and don't let them wait in there after grooming. Because they groom one at a time. They communicate with the dog enough time before starting grooming. Two groomers are so friendly, responsible and professional. The photo zone with a different concept each time is one of the reasons I choose this place also. I love the photos they sent me after the haircut. I highly recommend this place!!! read more
