So I often go in to ask for their advice on what are the best Chinese Herbal and/or food remedies to treat different conditions (like high blood sugar or cholesterol) and have the comfort and trust that they won't just recommend or sell anything to make a quick buck. Their herbs and other items are always of high quality and at reasonable price. When I have actual illness that I think will be better treated with Chinese rather than Western medicine, I will go see Dr. Hong (the father) whose prescriptions have worked very well for me through the years and he's the best that I've found so far for the past twenty years in S Cal and N Cal. Better yet, they also have Chinese herbal prescriptions in power form (you can choose either actual herb or the powder form), which you can just mix with warm water without having to go through the trouble of boiling herbal tea.
