Massive!

Yes, the pricing is tough to swallow. But the store is clean and orderly, they have a wide range of items, and incredibly helpful staff.

Sandwiches are good, but no website to order from. They have a sheet to fill out if you're in the store.

Beautiful 4" cakes.

Quick take: very expensive groceries The store is nicely organized and looked clean. The prices are very high. I'll know I've made it big in this world when I am able to afford shopping for groceries at Mollie Stone's. Very cute cakes and cookies.

My girl ALWAYS introduces me to the most amazing eats... Mollie Stone's was no different. Think Whole Foods with a "mom n pop" flair. Mollie Stone's offers natural, organic goods and prides themselves in selling high quality products purchased locally. With all that being said, it was a no brainer for my gf to hit them up and place a few party tray orders since she was hosting an intimate gathering. The spread included: orange & feta salad assorted cheese board assorted fruit platter assortment of wraps Everything was plated beautifully, everyone appreciated the cheese platter being clearly labeled, and the food was definitely fresh. Everyone ooh'd and aaahhh'd over every item. Kudos to the hostess with the mostest & thank you MS for coming through with some amazing eats. This place comes highly recommended- pricey but you get what you pay for!!

I find Mollie Stone's stuff expensive as hell but it is nice to window shop here. I mean anything here is about 3X the price at Safeway or Lucky but they have better quality. I love how their stores have high quality equipment and other food products. Spent what I believe was 30 mins just looking at their bento boxes.

Lately I've been craving burritos, but haven't had the reaction I was hoping for, until now! I ordered a super burrito and I wish I had ordered two if I knew it was going to be THAT GOOD!! The service was pretty quick too, which I like! The super burrito comes with your choice of meat, rice, beans, sour cream, cheese, guacamole, cilantro and onion. Our burrito also comes with some salsa and a bag of tortilla chips. The best part about the burrito was honestly everything, especially the meat! The meat was so savory, juicy and well seasoned! I felt like I couldn't get enough of it. The other ingredients were really good too and I love that they didn't skimp out on the onions, cilantro and guacamole. The avocado in the burrito was really fresh and creamy! Even the tortilla they used to wrap the burrito was really good. It didn't have a weird bitter aftertaste. Nothing fell out of my burrito. I also like how they used diced red onions in the burrito! I highly recommend trying their burritos out. The price is also really good, by the way! Sometimes it's hard to find a really good and affordable burrito in the Bay Area. I definitely will be back! Oh also, if you're ordering from their taqueria, the menu is by the deli where they sell meats and seafood, but you order at their cash registers. P.S. They have a parking lot here, but it's small so it does fill up quick.

If you manage expectations, Takahashi can be a five star experience. Due to the fact that it's a…read moremom and pop operation and its small size, you obviously won't find the same variety as you would at other Asian supermarkets. But as a corner grocer with great grab and go options and a hot food counter, it's a gem. Ordered the Okinawan shoyu pork to go and then wandered the market to pick up some Hawaiian snacks, such as tea and chips (and snagged an unagi musubi), while I waited. The pork stew was savory and tender, and came with white rice. Very comforting, homestyle cooking. I'll be back to try the mochiko chicken.

Continually staying optimistic as while the price was far from super friendly, some items were sold out so I feel like I might be missing out on some of the better items. Items tried: -Unagi Crawfish Musubi (5/5): Yes. Unagi was cooked well and the crawfish is such a nice texture. it was soggy but it was soooo good. -Tuna poke (2/5): fish had some fishiness and minerality, not much in terms of tuna flavor. It was far from the impact I felt when I had a different market from San Jose's Poke. -Tako Poke (3/5): well cooked octopus, lightly sauced but nothing amazing -Flank Steak Musubi (1.5/5): I wasn't a huge fan of the rice to meat ratio, and the steak flavor was covered by the sauce. If you really want to try it, go for it. It was not for me. The seaweed felt bland. -Side of rice: Good cook on the rice. Might be dry for some but it was similar in texture and grain separation to the rice i make at home. Nothing to write home about, it's rice.
