As always, Joe does excellent work!! This summer, we hired him to mow our lawn. His first time out, he took extra time making sure to get it to a reasonable / manageable level for weekly maintenance. It's looking amazing! read more

*Update: Joe also does snow removal and he comes before you have to leave the house for work when there's 2 inches accumulation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you live in the Palatine, Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg area, and are looking for a reliable lawn guy, Joe is the man. When I moved here in the beginning of crazy lawn season, I was in desperate need to find a yard service quickly. I interviewed 2 and both quoted me some bullshit cleaning up fees etc. I had no choice as my lawn was as wild as those girls gone wild "girls". I signed with one service, who thankfully did not commit me to a contract. Being the new out-of-work gal in the block, I stay home searching for jobs for most of my waking hours, and know when the yard was cut OR NOT. After finding out this chap bilked me of a couple of visits, I fired him. I started staring out of my window to catch my neighbors so I can get recommendations of their yard service. My lovely neighbor recommended Joe. Joe doesn't make me sign a contract. He's cool to my dog. And he's truly a hardworking entrepreneur. Call the office and request for him. And tell him that Ling sent you. Not that I get a commission, but I think it'll make his day to come recommended. read more

Came out right a way when we called. Gave us a fair and competitive price. We chose not to use them. They only gave us a verbal estimate. Other companies gave us a written estimate. They must have enough business, because the guy came in a Mercedes-Benz. He also never called to see if he could schedule us. read more

Very Disappointed. The owner Joe had me write my check to a different individual and I didn't realize that my landscape work was Subcontracted out. Joe and Chris McCormick do not know that there are 7 days to a week not 4 or 5. Therefore, the subcontractor Chris McCormick, who came frequently in the 3 times I paid for burned out my lawn. He does a nice job edging. Susan P. Hoffman Estates, IL. read more

I will remain on the opinion that Joe is a hard worker, does solid work, and has fair pricing. I am however no longer retaining J.D. Enterprises. After a terrible incident, I do not feel comfortable with any of his staff working at my home. I can not in good faith recommend him to anyone. I'm embarrassed by my earlier post. I will be doing more investigating in to companies I hire. Thank you for reading this. read more

JD and his team have helped me take care of my lawn and yard work at my new rental home, and has done an amazing job! Every week, the yard was mowed, trimmed and sidewalks, deck and driveway blown clean. My kids have left chairs, firepits and the grill on the lawn and his team always stacks the items neatly on the deck. I work full time, am single and am so happy that I have JD for my landscaping needs. read more

Very pleased with service so far. They dont' cut corners and will even move stuff out of the way while cutting lawn (big trampoline). They are very quick, bag everything, and leave. They also offer landscaping services, will probably try that as well. read more

Joe and the team at JD are great! Price is reallyresonable and more importantly they always do a fantastic job. They plowed the snow during the winter and cut our grass in the spring/summer. Always there when they said they would be.Unfortunately we had to stop service because we moved out of the area. Thanks you to the JD team for all your hard work! read more

Very disappointed with their snow removal "business." No written contract but a verbal contract that the price to plow for snow 2 inches or more is $40.00. I have used their services for the last 2 years and never had an issue with them showing up and plowing. Their bill was always paid on time at $40.00 per occurrence. However, I was astounded when I received my last bill which attempted to charge double at $80.00 for the Feb. 9th snowstorm. No where did Joe ever state that if the snow was over a certain amount of inches that the price would double. The whole reason you hire a snow plower is for these large snow storms. Most people don't need them for the 2 inch snowstorm but we pay it so we are covered for the large snow storms. And for Joe to decide to just raise the price without informing a customer who has been using his services for the last 2 years is unprofessional and unacceptable. I have a very small driveway. Did he cut the price in half on the several occasions when my daughter's car was blocking half the driveway and he could just shovel around it? Of course not, and I would not expect him to as we had an oral agreement for $40.00 per plow. It's unfortunate that this company decided to breach their agreement with me. Needless to say, I will be finding a new company to plow my driveway. By the way, I tried explaining my concerns to the owner via telephone and he proceeded to tell me I was the only one of all of his customers who complained about the double charge. That seems really hard to believe. Seems like a bait and switch to me. Keep away! read more

Mowed our lawn 3 times and we cut 'em loose. Weed whacked clearly visible perennials down to the ground on the first visit, including tulips in bloom that were in a designated flower bed. I called, he apologized and I marked the remaining plants with pinwheels. The second and third visits they were whacked again. We're not talking shorties here, the plants were over 8" tall. 3 mature plants lost, one per visit. When I called to cancel the service, I was told I was "picky" and that he was expecting me to cancel just like all his other picky customers. I suggested he reduce the bill by $12 to cover the three plants I would need to replace. He said he would give me a free cut if I were still a customer. REALLY? So more plants can be destroyed? Corrugated drain hose was also cut, presumably by the weed whacker. Bottom Line: If you're "picky" too and like your flowers and plants, this is not the service for you. read more

I spoke with them last week and arranged snow plowing/shoveling for our residential home. They were quick to give me a call back with a price quote. THEY NEVER SHOWED DURING THIS WEEKEND'S SNOWSTORM. No phone call, no explanation. VERY DISAPPOINTED. read more
