We hired Vinyl Concepts through Home Depot over 15 years ago to install our fence and two gates. We…read morehave a corner lot so entire fence is visible from street. Fence came out spectacular and we received a lot of compliments. We had a problem with one of the gates and other than some confusion on which Vinyl Concepts did the install, they came out and fixed it. Didn't even charge us. Customer service was great. A few months ago I had to call them again to get an estimate to repair and or replace some loose posts and cement blocks. Again, customer service was great. Estimate was given, work was done and paid for. Not long afterwards, I noticed the installers didn't repair one post. This was an obvious oversight on installers part and not a big deal. I called and explained the situation, emailed another repair request, and this is when things took a turn for the worst. Original Salesman left the company so I was given a new salesman, Oscar. Oscar didn't respond to my calls and when he did finally email me, he tried to put his own spin on work that was originally supposed to be done and I question whether he even had the original work order/estimate. He sent an installer, Jose, to come out and inspect the post that was not repaired. Jose is one of the guys who did the original repair. Jose knew he missed repairing this post. He went on to tell me they no longer carried the railings on the fence, he would have to take down the already repaired post and cement blocks, or he could insert screws into post. He inserted screws and post was sturdy. Jose reassured me it was strong enough for my dog. After the repair, Jose went back to the office and proceeded to tell Oscar we had a third party install the fence he repaired and blamed my dog(?) Oscar sends me an email stating they would not warranty any repairs because this was not their fence. This was a flat out lie and how dare Oscar and Jose make this false accusation. Furthermore, I have the original estimate of work that was to be done and we paid for this repair. So obvious Jose was trying to cover his behind and Oscar was trying to prove himself. As far as customer service is concerned, the young ladies in the office are very helpful and courteous. It's too bad there are two employees that have no integrity and suggest future customers steer clear of doing business with Oscar and Jose.

Parry sent over his crew right away to caulk around the existing one so we wouldn't get any incursion while waiting for the new one to arrive and get installed. Nice! For this job, I had also asked to have a custom window casing and deep windowsill built. We agreed that I'd buy the materials (a particular trim profile and hardwood species), prime them, and they'd do the cutting and installation. This collaboration worked perfectly.

But when something goes wrong with the windows or blinds, it's the screen guys or contractors in my family that have to tell me that their work is shotty. It hasn't been a year and I have had so many problems and they make it like I am a complainer. My window that previously had large bow that the screen guy had to point out has another problem that bows the other way and won't close properly. Lonnie came out that night, which is priceless and sweet. But he said the window may need to be done again, which makes it so the custom screens need to be redone, which cost me a lot. I'm a disabled senior on fixed income and paid a lot for the windows and blinds. The screen people that are far more experienced and well reviewed said they never saw so many mistakes on brand new windows. It hasn't been a year. I got new windows so I didn't have to worry about them and it's worse now than the old windows. They better stand behind this and help with the screens, because this is unacceptable. Carlos and Joshua came by to replace defective blinds. And they checked other. They really stand behind their products and service. We are shocked it would have so many problems so quickly, especially after the thousands of dollars we spent, and we're concerned how it will hold up moving forward. Within a few weeks of it being installed, it became so sticky and difficult to slide open we had to use our entire bodies to pull and push the door open and closed. It got to the point where we could barely use the door. Then, the siding started falling off like cheap plastic. When we reached out to have someone come fix it, we were told it was a manufacturer problem and it would be several weeks before anyone could come out. We explained we could barely use the door and couldn't wait several weeks to have it fixed. After some back and forth and 2-3 weeks of waiting, we were finally able to get someone to come out. I kid you not, two days after the guy left, we were locking the door as we always do and the spring mechanism came flying off. Now we're not able to use the door at all. We've been trying for 2+ weeks to get someone to come back and fix it, but we keep being told "the ticket is in the queue". Bottom line, we deeply regret using this contractor and this manufacturer. The door is terrible quality and the problems are to no end. For the money we spent and the amount of problems it's had we should be offered some kind of refund or a new door installation. I urge you to look elsewhere.
