I wanted to update my review because I believe it is just as important to acknowledge when a company makes a genuine effort to address a customer's concerns. I was originally disappointed with the way my fence turned out, and I expressed those concerns to Vinyl Concepts. I truly appreciate that they listened and responded by sending very professional representatives to my home to meet with me, hear me out, and discuss what could be done. After talking everything over with my family, we ultimately decided to keep the fence exactly the way it is. What changed my feelings about the company was the way they handled my concerns. They did not simply dismiss me -- they showed up, listened, treated me with respect, and were willing to make changes to help make things right. That meant a great deal to me and restored my confidence in the company. I now have a much higher level of respect for Vinyl Concepts and appreciate the professionalism they showed throughout the resolution process. Based on the way they responded and stood behind their work, I would feel comfortable recommending Vinyl Concepts to others read more

We hired Vinyl Concepts through Home Depot over 15 years ago to install our fence and two gates. We have a corner lot so entire fence is visible from street. Fence came out spectacular and we received a lot of compliments. We had a problem with one of the gates and other than some confusion on which Vinyl Concepts did the install, they came out and fixed it. Didn't even charge us. Customer service was great. A few months ago I had to call them again to get an estimate to repair and or replace some loose posts and cement blocks. Again, customer service was great. Estimate was given, work was done and paid for. Not long afterwards, I noticed the installers didn't repair one post. This was an obvious oversight on installers part and not a big deal. I called and explained the situation, emailed another repair request, and this is when things took a turn for the worst. Original Salesman left the company so I was given a new salesman, Oscar. Oscar didn't respond to my calls and when he did finally email me, he tried to put his own spin on work that was originally supposed to be done and I question whether he even had the original work order/estimate. He sent an installer, Jose, to come out and inspect the post that was not repaired. Jose is one of the guys who did the original repair. Jose knew he missed repairing this post. He went on to tell me they no longer carried the railings on the fence, he would have to take down the already repaired post and cement blocks, or he could insert screws into post. He inserted screws and post was sturdy. Jose reassured me it was strong enough for my dog. After the repair, Jose went back to the office and proceeded to tell Oscar we had a third party install the fence he repaired and blamed my dog(?) Oscar sends me an email stating they would not warranty any repairs because this was not their fence. This was a flat out lie and how dare Oscar and Jose make this false accusation. Furthermore, I have the original estimate of work that was to be done and we paid for this repair. So obvious Jose was trying to cover his behind and Oscar was trying to prove himself. As far as customer service is concerned, the young ladies in the office are very helpful and courteous. It's too bad there are two employees that have no integrity and suggest future customers steer clear of doing business with Oscar and Jose. read more

The crew that was sent to me, overseen by Oscar, was phenomenal. We are so grateful and delighted we chose Vinyl Concepts. The patio cover we chose is a work of art and built to last. Before you go with wood give Vinyl Concepts a try. No painting, no bugs, no wood rot. They take meticulous care of their work!!! We simply love looking out and seeing a work of beauty and skill. It's not much more than wood. Bravo Oscar and his crew! read more

Thank you Vinyl Concepts for securing our home, pets and children with our beautiful new vinyl fence. I gravitated towards using Vinyl Concepts over the other fencing options and companies, because they made an uncomfortable project easy from start to finish. Quoting with Chris. He was extremely knowledgeable and presented a clear and powerful proposal for my neighbors and I. Thank you for providing every detail I requested to help better understand and accept our project. Final measurements with Denis. He made me smile and feel confidently backed with every design decision. His friendly personality goes above and beyond to answer all your questions and even brainstorm new concepts to make sure they install the best product they possibly can for us. Denis is such a gem. He truly cares about his clients, workers, product and company. I will always be grateful for Denis. Thank you for guiding me through this process. His amazing outlook on life is so inspiring. Vinyl Concepts is lucky to have him. Installers, Vicente and Jelvin are the hardest working people I've seen in a long time. No matter the heat, no matter the change order; they continue to always work hard, with a contagious smile on their face and an uplifting song in their heart. It was so nice to have them both around for a few days. Thank you all for your flexibility and skills. Nothing can stop your team. Not a single gate, into a rolling gate. Especially not 1 inch of neighborly fence and property line turmoil. In an industry where fences seem to make humans crazy; Denis, Vicente and Jelvin remained calm, flexible and positive. Thank you team. I can't wait to work with you again on our next project, to add a custom fence in our front yard. Thank you Vinyl Concepts for your friendly support and wonderful product. read more

We had Vinyl Concepts build our front yard fence, and the experience from start to finish was genuinely great. I originally connected with them through Home Depot when I stopped in to get a price quote, and I'm so glad I did. From day one, Alex was attentive, patient, and incredibly easy to work with. He took the time to answer all of my questions, walk me through the process, and explain options without ever making things feel rushed or overwhelming. When we had to push our project back by a month, he was completely understanding and flexible, which I really appreciated. We ended up making a few modifications to the original design, and Alex helped us execute those changes seamlessly. The installation team showed up on time, worked efficiently, and did excellent work. We chose an all-wood fence with a black metal gate, and the final result looks fantastic. Overall, the process was painless, easy, and handled with real care and professionalism. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Vinyl Concepts to anyone looking for quality work and a team that truly delivers. read more

After receiving several bids for work on my home, I contracted with Vinyl Concepts to install 2 patio covers plus a gate on my condominium in Westlake Village, CA. Vinyl Concepts was the most professional of the companies providing bids. Within a week of my initial call, they scheduled and arrived at my home to discuss the work I desired. They measured and provided a bid for work at the end of that appointment. Every facet of this job went so well, that I felt I needed to share such a great experience! From the initial contact, to scheduling, to the actual work performed, I was 100% pleased. Every Vinyl Concepts staff member returned my phone calls and texts in a timely manner and did everything they could to work with my schedule and my budget. My home is located in a beautiful, well-maintained community, so I needed a well-designed and attractive product. Vinyl Concepts did not disappoint! Both patio covers, and the gate are first-class. My home desperately needed shade, so I chose a combination of comfort shade (full coverage) plus picket style (for natural light). One of the covers is rectangular, but the other is an L-shape so it was a bit trickier to build and attach to the house, but these people are so highly skilled, they made it look easy. I will attach some pictures as words cannot tell the whole story. The job took 6 days from start to finish, just as promised. They even sent extra helpers to ensure the job was completed on time. The crew showed up as promised every morning and worked full days. If I had questions during the job, the crew was close at hand and handled them effectively. I want to especially thank the following Vinyl Concepts employees, because they are the BEST! Thank you to Chris L. (original representative); Alec (scheduler); Sal V. (installer); Danny (helper); Roger and Pedro (other helpers); Carlos M. (final measurements and final technician). I have one more compliment for Sal V., as he was just amazing during this whole job. He oversaw the installation of the project, and his helpers worked so well with him. Sal is a master craftsman. I went into this project feeling confident, and once I saw how Sal worked, I knew I had picked the right company. The job was completed last week, the end of July 2025, and I could not be more pleased. My neighbors are stopping by to tell me how beautiful my new patio covers look! Vinyl Concepts provides a unique 30-year warranty. It covers the original purchaser and is transferable to the next owner for another 30 years. It is so unusual these days to find a company that cares about their customers and stands behind their workmanship and their product. I recommend Vinyl Concepts without hesitation. read more

Installed a second story patio cover that was a challenging project. Carlos and Oscar were very patient and absolutely amazing to work with on the successful completion of our project. This company delivers, they did an amazing job on my fence but the thing that impressed me the most is the professional ism of their staff. From my estimator Alex, Mr. Sanchez who did the final measurements and Jose and his sidekick who put everything together. They did a seamless job and left the site very clean. I won't hesitate to use them again if I ever encounter another fence project. Thanks for a job well done...RON read more

It turns out that our existing patio cover was not compatable with what they're able to provide and extensive reconstruction would have been required; however, even though we didn't "hire" them, I was very pleased that this company responded quickly to a request on their website and their representative arrived a couple days later as scheduled, on time. He was courteous and informative and offered some alternative solutions. read more

If you're in the market for getting a vinyl fence, gate or pergola installed on your property...I highly recommend Vinyl Concepts! From the beginning they were professional, friendly and on time with delivery of the installation. Always in communication. A huge shoutout goes to the installation team that went above and beyond the job specs. There was a lot to dig out and work around before the actual fence and gate was put in. No excuses or BS, they just did it and got it done. Finally...for me, the best part was that they hauled away the old fence! This is a big deal for me because Im used to big box stores charging you extra for this service. So thats a plus in my book. Overall: We are considering having a new pergola installed in the backyard, so unless my "I can do it myself" attitude changes, I would absolutely use the best in the business. Vinyl Concepts replaced our patio cover and it turned out better than we had imagined. We consulted with our roofer and he mentioned that one of his clients had just finished working with VC and was very happy. Core came out and suggested we visit the showroom in Newbury Park to see the different options in design and materials. Carlos came out to measure and give us the estimate, and coordinated with our roofer to get the job done in a week. Jesus and Valentin were the amazing workers who built the cover: they were punctual, polite, and cleaned up each day before leaving. We highly recommend this company. read more

From the beginning, I appreciated the communication I received about the project - from consultation to scheduling. Everyone was courteous and professional. We wanted a simple wooden fence and gates for our new home, and after getting a few quotes, Vinyl Concepts had the most competitive pricing, which we appreciated as new home owners with several projects to tackle. Our installers Calixto and Victor were especially wonderful to work with. We live in an old home in an old area, so there were aspects of our wood fence install that required custom problem solving. Calixto would ask my preference on a solution if reasonably required. For instance, the chainlink fence between us and our neighbor leaned heavily into our yard, minimizing our yard space by a meaningful amount. He recommended a solution that straightened the chainlink fence, reinforced it once straightened, and allowed us to keep our yard space intact. Other aspects, such as cutting the wood to fit custom areas so our dog couldn't see into the neighbors' yards was greatly appreciated. He also recommended a gate open out instead of in, which was inconsequential to us in this case, because the uneven pavement allowed for a narrower gap underneath if done that way. We're very happy with our new fence. It has made such a difference in our daily lives already. We would recommend Vinyl Concepts to anyone. read more

We had an excellent experience with Vinyl Concepts putting in a side fence at our home in Ventura. Core was great from the first estimate to staying connected with us regarding changes we made, timing of the project, helping with placement and checking the finished fence. The crew was great and answered questions as the project went along. Everyone was professional, friendly, really seemed to want pleased customers and a job well done. Many thanks. Would definitely use them again. read more

I want to give a shout out to the entire team at vinyl concepts on the design and construction of our APOLLO ROOF SYSTEM. It was our second time using VINYL CONCEPTS. We previously used them a few years ago for the design and install of our Vinyl Gates. So, when I found out they install these patio systems I was in. The manager Carlos and I worked together on all aspects of our design including the post wraps which was a first for them. Our patio design included opening and closing louvers, lights and ceiling fans. We previously considered Struxture but I can tell you that making this decision was absolutely the right call. Their installation team of Felipe, Pedro, Roger and others was absolutely off the charts. The quality of their work was precision. The patio cover turned out better than I anticipated. The post wraps for doing them the first time was an all star performance second to none. My painter finished it off with an exceptional paint job. I will upload some pictures below to show the quality of their work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for any patio project or vinyl fencing or gates. They are the absolute best!!! I chose Vinyl Concepts to do my patio cover becauseI I was familiar with the high quality work they did installing fencing for Oakbrook Townhomes where I have a rental property. My patio cover is unusual in that it involves a curved arch. I was a bit skeptical at first but later thrilled that they were able to copy my wooden patio cover exactly. The vinyl has a cleaner more professional look than my original patio cover. I'm extremely happy. They were punctual and kept the work area clean and neat every day. The price was more than fair. Vinyl Concepts did a fantastic job to design and install my south-facing patio cover. The job looked like a simple rectangle but the area was actual a trapezoid (the end widths differed as much as three feet over the length). Oscar's seamless design integrated simplicity with structural integrity. Vlad and Marcos worked hard and diligently to construct the patio cover on time. I am trying to get a fence installed with my shared neighbor which is why I started researching vinyl fencing. The more I research it there's discrepancies from different companies on how to install vinyl, so I contacted vinyl concepts, which seems like a pretty big company and specializes in Vinyl. When I contacted their customer service department asking questions on the different ways to install it, the lady that answered the phone was extremely rude, she even told me to stop talking and let her finish. She tried asking for my name at the end, I told her I wouldn't use this company if you paid me too. A business starts with customer service in the office and follows with the quality and product they install. If this is how this company runs their business with rude staff members then they've lost my business. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Concpet Vinyl. Carlos our project manager was outstanding, very attentive, answered all my questions and helped me through the whole process with fantastic communication. The crew - Jesus and Roger were five star. The electrician was also great. This is my second project by this company and o will be using them again. read more

I contacted Vinyl Concepts to help with installing a new patio cover for me, 2 gates, and 1 small fence. The process was very easy from the time Chris L came out and gave me a quote. He made sure I understood how the process works. He was very conscientious. Oscar O came out about 1 week later to do the Final Layout on everything, he was very thorough with every detail of the job. He also was very patient with me explaining the process with me. The workers showed up on Oct 14th on time, (Fabian, Luis.G.and Luis. E.) did an outstanding job. I really appreciated the fact how quiet they worked, and every night they cleaned up. Love the vinyl fence choices and am happy with the color. For the most part, dealing with everyone was pretty good. A little disappointed in some things that were left out or not done according to our conversations regarding the job. Also not thrilled that they don't haul away most of the rock/debris/concrete pieces, etc from doing post holes, so it was spread out over my entire garden area and is just junk now. The concrete that was poured for the posts also seem not very solid. We shall see. So, mostly good, happy to have nice fencing and some privacy, but just pay attention as your job goes along. Also, no one came after the job was completed to look over the job. read more

Earlier this week, Vinyl Concepts (based in Newbury Park) completed the installation of one of their custom pergolas that is essentially two joined offset rectangles with an overall width of 40+ feet. We are extremely pleased with the resulting product as well as the overall experience and would strongly recommend them for any similar vinyl hardscaping work (fences, pergolas, railings, etc.) you may need. From start to finish we were treated with care, respect, consideration and understanding by everyone involved in the process. Throughout our interactions, we felt that the Vinyl Concepts team and staff had our interests and satisfaction as their goal. It started with Fred, who worked with us by refining the details through the choices and developed a mutually acceptable estimate. We were even asked to meet the company owners when we visited for signing the contract, and they made us feel this was much more than another transaction to them. There are two people that I will single out as being exceptional to work with. The first was Carlos, their designer/engineer that translates customers' wishes to practical solutions using their highly customizable products. He clearly knows his product lines and was able to make suggestions that improved our final product. Just as importantly, he was willing to listen and convert some suggestions by us to better adapt the design to our unique layout. The second was Vladimir (Vlad), who was the crew lead throughout the onsite installation. He was very meticulous, and demonstrated excellent knowledge of the field-fit assembly process as well as true artisan skills. Vlad was also very willing to seek our opinion and hear us out when specific choices were available. Both Carlos and Vlad were key to the overall great satisfaction we have with our contractor choice and the finished product. Incidentally, we were initially looking at online similar products, but were hesitant to commit as we would have needed to hire out the installation to a third party, and did not want to deal with any possible issue that may arise between the two entities. Surprisingly, Vinyl Concepts was cost competitive when comparing apples to apples (white vinyl). As a bonus going with Vinyl Concepts gave us a choice of finish upgrade (Maple-look vinyl) which was otherwise unavailable and matched our house trim color. Overall, this was a superb choice, and we highly suggest you consider Vinyl Concepts if you are in the market for products and services they offer. read more

Our side door needed TLC; that was during the pandemic 2020ish. So,, we visited & checked a few vinyl places & asked a few neighbors to see where they got theirs. After crunching the data, we accepted the offered from the Vinyl Concepts from Thousand Oaks. As usual, my rating will be based on the courtesy, friendliness, & honesty of all personnel involved. The receptionist knew what she talked about, the sales person, and the tech came to measure & to order the materials were all very professional. The installer, above all, guaranteed that he would be the one come back & fix if something happened to any parts of the gate. Sure enough, one of the panel was warped a few months after installation. I called the front desk, and sure enough, the installer came back, took the gate, & returned with a new gate within 2 days. I'm very appreciated & impressed by this prompt service. So, Vinyl Concepts' price may not be the cheapest, but the reliability will give you a peaceful of mind after you receive their product. read more

I had a patio cover and railing installed and can't say enough about how great it looks. We are amazed how everything came together and how professional it looks. From start to finish the vinyl concepts team was transparent and open about how much everything would cost and timelines. I would definitely like to call out Oscar, Vladimir, Luis and any of the other team members that worked on our project for their professionalism, attention to detail and communication. Especially Oscar and Vladimir. Oscar noticed a gate that Vinyl concepts also did was a little off (nothing wrong with the installation, it had just settled and needed to be adjusted). While waiting for the inspector, he took the time to readjust it and ensure it meets their exacting standards. And to Vladimir, for setting and leading the whole installation effort and ensuring the job site was clean and everything back in its place. So this is going to be a weird review in that I never actually purchased anything from them, though I tried! In short, I was referred to this company from Apollo, a luxury pergola maker as Vinyl Concepts are a certified installer for their product. I connected with Carlos who came out and waked us through our options over a month ago. Fast forward to this past week - We're doing a backyard remodel and I spent about 1.5 weeks negotiating pricing, options, etc. and we finally came to a deal; I signed the contract and wrote a deposit check. Carlos went to the city to start permitting per our agreement. Come to find out that the city wont' allow us to do what we want (don't get me started...) so all of the time and effort done in pre-sales was wasted and we can't proceed. I tried to compensate him for his time and effort, he wouldn't let me. Such a positive pre-sales experience and even when things fell through, the utmost professionalism and kindness afterwards. Vinyl Concepts - Our new cover - Fences & Gates Near Me - Thousand Oaks, California

When our wood front and back patio covers started flaking paint, we decided to have them replaced with vinyl instead of having them repainted. The front of our house gets a lot of sun, which heats up the house; therefore, we choose to replace our traditional wood picket style front patio cover with a vinyl fixed louvered patio cover and have it extended beyond the patio to shade all of the front windows of the house. The wood picket style back patio cover was replaced with a picket style patio cover in vinyl. They both look very nice. Even when the wood patio covers were new, they didn't look this nice. We had asked that the patio covers be installed such that the eaves would not be boxed in, as they had been with the old wood patio cover in the back. The boxed in eaves had created an apartment complex for birds. The back patio cover was installed as requested, such that the eaves were not covered, but the installers were not told that we wanted the front patio cover installed in the same manner. We complained to Carlos and Alec at Vinyl Concepts that we did not like how the front patio cover had been installed; they had it fixed such that it met our expectations, without any additional expense and in a timely manner. We are very pleased with the workmanship provided by Vinyl Concepts. Work performed July 2021. read more
