These guys are great! They made and installed my driveway gate! They were super responsive and patient with me. The gate looks and works fantastic. Quality is top notch and I got more options for the price compared to the other quotes I got. They worked with my schedule and had it done so quickly. 100% recommend! read more

I had a problem with coyotes jumping a five foot concrete block wall to enter my back yard and threaten my Jack Russell. After discussing the problem, Dynamic Fence recommended a three foot chain link fence be added on top of the block wall. Yesterday they completed this program. Great job, great price, great people. I stongly recommend Dynamic Fence for any fencing issue. read more

D-Fence replaced two gates for me on my property. I solicited several quotes, and D-Fence had the best combination of price and warranty - as well as maintaining consistently high ratings on Yelp. I am very happy with the work performed. The new gates are solidly constructed, and look and work beautifully. The work was performed on time (the day and hour scheduled) by a courteous crew. I highly recommend this company to any one looking to get new fencing or repair existing fences. read more

Did a fantastic job on my wall topper and stood 100% behind their work. Recommended!!

I recently had D-Fence replace my townhouse's dilapidated old wooden fence with a nice new vinyl fence. The company owner, Darren, immediately impressed me with his obvious knowledge and competence when he came to assess the job and give me a quote. He addressed any questions I had throughout the planning and installation and closely monitored the work as it was being done. Additionally, I was impressed by his preparation of the contract, which was very professional in appearance and detail and included a to-scale drawing of the work. Darren is also very personable and easy to work with, and his quote was the lowest of the three I got. I'm very pleased with my new fence and highly recommend D-Fence to anyone! read more

Fantastic work by D-fence Builders. Shout out to Darren Hicks and his crew. They're artisans. From the start, Darren was on things--he "read" our site and had excellent suggestions for our slope, how to make the gate work on hilly terrain. We chose black metal aluminum, a solid privacy fence. It's beautiful, evocative of a linear Richard Serra installation. One friend wrote after seeing it: "Do you know what I am loving about this fence? It reflects the colors of the trees and sky like beautiful dark pond water. And the finish is neither two glassy nor too matte." I normally don't write reviews but in this case, I must. Darren and his team rock out. Recommend them highly. read more

I would recommend this fencing company to everyone! The owner Darren is very pleasant and knowledgeable. His team that did my combined White Vinyl and chain link fencing were great! even welded my custom gates on site. Excellent work at an excellent price! read more

I do not recommend D-Fence Builders or their affiliated company, Brown & Brown Fence Company. On a positive note, we had a good experience working with Darren, Lee, and team, and the new fence, gates, and enclosures that they installed look great. Unfortunately, we have had chronic issues opening and closing the 3 pedestrian gates that they installed. The first one became inoperable only a month after installation. I reached out to them at that time and they promptly came out to readjust it. Despite the quick fix, it would not open/close again a week after their visit. I let them know about this. At this point, they stopped responding to my e-mails and phone calls. A contractor had recommended D-Fence Builders to us and after I told the contractor about the broken gate and lack of response, Darren agreed to complete a more meaningful repair with a new post. That larger repair lasted about a week before the gate again would not latch. Since that time, all 3 pedestrian gate doors that they installed do not open and close properly. In each case, the door is not straight between the 2 posts and/or the posts are not plumb. We paid this company over $10,000 (and they were not the lowest bid received), but the prior pedestrian gate that my father-in-law built worked better than the new ones from this professional job. I let Darren know that all 3 gates are not working, and as before, have not received a response. The non-latching gates have not only been frustrating from a functionality standpoint, but have also been a safety hazard because they lead to a pool. We will have to hire another company to complete the needed repairs and make the gates work as they should. read more

Since our last experience with D-Fence was so positive we decided to use them to demolish and replace a back garden fence between us and our neighbours. D-Fence worked with both us and our neighbours and received separate checks which made life easier. The crew turned up on time, completed the job in half the time they quoted, left a few fence palings as extras for the future, tidied up after themselves and were very polite. I would recommend D-Fence if you have fencing requirements. read more

Reached out to several fence people for estimates and felt the best about working with Darren and his team. While they were not the least expensive, the dialogue, ease of communication and attention to detail were key. He listened to what we wanted, made some recommendations, and then we made a plan after a little research. He communicated quickly and regularly. His crew arrived when expected and completed the project exactly how we had planned. They were courteous and kept a clean workspace. We are completely satisfied with the final product and look forward to enjoying it for years to come! Will definitely look to work with them in the future. read more

6years ago D-Fence replaced our termite ridden wood fencing with vinyl fencing. We couldn't have been happier! Recently we noticed that one of the posts was twisting to the side. D-Fence came in and reset the post. I am so grateful we chose a company that stands by their product with great customer service! Thank you D-Fence read more

After some miscommunication, of which I am partially to blame, the fence has been completed by the original date for which we had hoped. I think they dropped everything and did my fence in a half day. Top notch job by top notch installers. I highly recommend. Thanks guys. read more

D Fence is a fantastic company. Darren Hicks is the owner and is hands-on. Darren came to our home to give us an estimate on installing a vinyl lattice fence and gate. He supervised his employees and made sure the work was well done! He provided a written, detailed contract. He recently replaced a post cap which I broke at no charge. He is honest, trustworthy, and responsive. He is exceptional in a world where many contractors don't even return customer telephone calls. I would rate D Fence as excellent! Dale Nugent read more

Our old fence was removed and the new one was installed within a couple of days. The workers were very quick and respectful of our property and of our neighbors. My wife and I recently asked D-Fence to come out to our house and give us a quote for a fence. Originally we were looking to do a 6ft tall white vinyl privacy fence. Phillip Colby, the owner, gave us a quote for the vinyl fence but also mentioned that black chain link would also look nice and would be more economical. We ended up going with the black chain link and we couldn't be happier with the result. We now have the peace of mind that our daughter and our animals have the freedom to play in the yard with the security of a fence. Thank you Phillip Colby and D-Fence! read more

The fence looks good and the people were nice, that's why they get the 3 stars. The others stars are for communication and other housekeeping issues. Darren was really nice and so were his workers but time seemed to be split up between other jobs and half way through the day the fence was not being done. The fence took longer than expected. As for housekeeping, several sprinklers were broken with no notification to me and a pool pipe was broken with no notification. Posts were not cut flush to the ground leaving me to cut them to safety. Trash was left around the yard (though cleaned at the end of the job) that I would have liked cleaned daily. Smoking in the yard also bothered me but after speaking to Darren, he did address it with his people. All in all, I do like the end result but the price, time and other issues make it a little difficult to recommend read more

D-Fence Builders did a fantastic job constructing our new redwood fence in Woodland Hills. Cody came out and met with my wife and I for a consultation during which he spent an hour answering all our questions, taking the relevant measurements, showing us different pictures of fences they could build -- and was very, very patient and professional throughout. We had consultations and got quotes from two other fence/gate contractors, but D-Fence -- in particular Darren and Cody -- worked with us and outbid the other contractors by a lot; their quote was very reasonable and they stayed within budget. The job took about three days and Juan and his assistant were very nice, and extremely efficient and competent during the construction, answering all our questions during the process and consulting us when design issues came up; Cody came by a few times to make sure everything was progressing smoothly during the construction as well. In the end, D-Fence built us a beautiful fence for our front yard with a swing gate, and also, a privacy gate, too. We are thrilled with the results and ecstatic that all of our neighbors keep congratulating us on such a beautiful addition to our house. We highly, highly recommend D-Fence Builders for all of your gate and fencing needs! read more

They were hired by my neighbor (joint property fence), and the cost was split between the neighbor and my landlord. They were only supposed to used the neighbor's electricity, but used mine and subsequently blew half the fuses in my house, and at the very time I was getting ready for work. At the completion of the two day install, they left trash (food wrappers, soda cans and chunks of concrete from the old fence posts). They over poured the concrete for the new posts, subsequently damaging the area for plant, foliage, grass growth. And they literally just dumped excess dug up dirt in piles, at four different locations in my front and back yards. I was going to let all this just go by the wayside and not post a review, however, ONLY TWO WEEKS LATER.... The fence is already showing damage. The redwood is fraying/splintering on the ends of several planks and the top beam. ADDITIONALLY, several of the planks are already starting to buckle on both sides of the fence. What has happened to the old mindset of "pride in workmanship"?! I highly recommend NOT HIRING this company! I'm just glad it was my landlord paying for half of the installation and not me, otherwise I would be suing them in small claims court! read more

What can I say about these guys! Competitive pricing, knocked the job out in two days, came when they said they would come....all of these you would expect......but no, they actually took great care removing the old fence and installing the new fence and didn't step on any flowers or plants that were located next to the fence line. On top of that they removed and replaced a jasmine vine that was hanging on the old fence. That was not expected but greatly appreciated. Thanks to Darren and his team! read more

I highly recommend Dfence builders. They installed 180 ft of horizontal wood fencing around our house and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. It started with Darren coming out to our house and explaining to us the possibilities for wood fencing for our property. The conversation wasn't simply about adding a wood fence but about transforming our yard and creating a 'look'. We wanted more than just a barrier but something visually exciting. After learning what Darren could design, we ended up with a horizontal fence that was stepped going down our hill. For the install, Eric and his team were complete professionals. I had tons of questions and Eric was more than patient with me which I really appreciated given the size of the install. I would also like to call out Lee who made it very easy to work with to plan the timing and logistics of the install and who was always available with updates. Thanks Dfence!!!! read more

We had D-Fence Builders install our new new gates. My rating of one star is because their customer service is horrible. Gates were to be installed on September 6th 2018. On 9-04-18 at 11am two days before I called to make sure we were still on schedule no answer knowing the office closed at 3:30 I then sent an email @3pm. It was not till the next afternoon that I receive an email that the frame is still with the iron guy. (Don't you think if frame is still with iron guy They should have CALLED me) But they would call me the next day to reschedule. Did I hear from them NO. I made two more calls. Finally the day after the gates were to be installed I received a call telling me they would make the frame in house over the weekend and install on 9-11-18. Gates were installed with a few more problems. I called, Sent e-mail with pictures. Was told someone would be out by the end of the week to correct the problem. Well a week has come and gone and STILL NOTHING. read more

D-Fence Builders installed a beautiful horizontal hardwood fence in our backyard, and we couldn't be more pleased with the result. Lee was incredibly helpful answering our many questions about the details of the job before finalizing our quote, and Darren showed up on the first day of installation to make sure everyone was on the same page. Eric and Anthony did a fantastic job with the work--and they even finished a day early. The fence turned out exactly how we hoped. Many thanks to the entire team! read more

The work was good and reasonably priced and the fence and gates looked great. Darren was very helpful with what we wanted- but I think a bit more explanation about certain aspects of fencing and gates and hardware would be good. It all may seem second nature to those in the business, but the customer is a "fence novice" and may need some clarity. We went with a very modern fence look and had to adjust as certain things done made it look "un-modern" I would highly suggest inspecting the work as it is being completed- just to make sure you are on the same page. A month after, I had an issue with some bowing on an end cap and another issue. Darren had his crew come out and remedied the issue. The fence looks great and people have come by to take pictures of the fencing as they are looking for something similar. read more

Terrible job, crooked gate, no way to open gate from inside, screws in multiple colors and types, did not respond to my requests to address the issues and never showed up to check work after employees left. Very disappointing, paid him more than I would have paid the Fence Factory in an effort to support local small businesses and hoping for a better quality job. Got burned. Stay away! read more

I just finished having IPE wood fences built by Darren. Simply stated, look no further for a fence contractor. This guy is great.
