Our central air conditioning stopped blowing cold air, I called a different A/C company and they said our compressor went out. They also said it was not able to be repaired, and quoted me around $15,000 to replace the unit. I texted Joseph because he has made repairs on our unit before, he came over and had it repaired within an hour. He's honest and very reasonably priced. He also saved us from having to suffer another day without air conditioning in a heat wave. Just a note, I only tried a different company cause I had to use them one time when Joseph was on vacation and I thought I would try them again. But I will only do business with Joseph moving forward. Thanks again Joseph. read more

Joey moved our thermostat to the proper location and suggested replacing our vents with low resistance two-way direction adjustable vents. Our two story house has a much more even temperature and the A/C also runs less. His communication and explanations were excellent. All this at a fair price too. read more

Joseph is the best hvac tech we've worked with. He's honest and straight forward, and follows through on his word. I called him for a quote for our AC that wasn't blowing cold air, he showed up 15 minutes later. He talked me through what he thought it was and promised to come by the next day. Sure enough, Joseph kept his word and serviced our condenser and we are back up and running. We've received other quotes from people who are just interested in making recommendations to make a lot of money. I feel like Joseph just wants the best for his clients and is honest. Thank you, Joseph. read more

Joseph was recommended to me by some close friends, and I'm so glad I reached out to him. When my AC started blowing warm air, I contacted him on a Sunday, and he was at my home the very next morning and quickly diagnosed the issue as a blown fuse, which he repaired on the spot. Joseph was professional, honest, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. It's not always easy to find someone you can trust, and I truly appreciated his transparency and prompt service. I won't hesitate to contact him again for any future HVAC needs, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for reliable and trustworthy service. read more

Joe and his team are absolutely fantastic! We first worked with Joe last year when our AC went out, and he was kind enough to walk me through the issue over the phone and help me get our system back up and running after Services Champion told us to just replace the AC. That level of customer service really stuck with us. Fast-forward a year, and we knew it was finally time to replace our AC. I reached out to Joe, and within just a couple of hours he had provided us with a quote and was able to schedule the installation for the following week. Joe is responsive, hardworking, professional, clean, and genuinely a joy to work with. On installation day, he and his crew worked efficiently and were in and out fairly quickly, even while working through this Southern California heat wave! They did an excellent job and left everything clean and looking great. It's not often you find someone who is this reliable and genuinely cares about helping their customers. We're so glad we found Joe through our neighbors on Nextdoor and will absolutely continue to recommend him to friends and family. read more

Our unit stopped working during the recent heat wave. Joseph responded to my message within 10'minutes. He guided me through the most basic troubleshooting to see if it is something I can easily take care on my own without his service. When he was sure he needs to come out, he showed up in 20 minutes, and resolved issue. He is honest, responsive, respectful, and charges reasonably. We highly recommend his service. read more

Our AC stopped working today and I am glad I contacted J. Choy Pro HVAC service. Even though it's a Sunday, Joe responded to my request. On the phone, he walked us through step by step to inspect the fuses first. Sure enough it is the fuse. He told us to bring the old fuse to Home Depot to find the exact spec for replacement. After we replaced the fuses, the AC is up running again. He really saves us from this miserable heatwave. Thank you Joe! We really appreciate you! read more

I had a great experience with Joseph Choy coming out and getting my broken AC unit up and running. I first found out about him through Covina's Facebook group. He was highly recommended. Our AC unit went out last year and my son was having a high school graduation celebration and Joseph came right out and saved the day. He recently installed a mini-split in on of the bedrooms and i really appreciated the time he took to offer options. He is the only HVAC person I would use. read more

Had a quote from We Care thru Costco and they tried to rip me off!!! Wanted to charge $1300+ for Freon and an unnamed part. My genius pool guy Daniel from Alpha Pool & Spa went me a referral to Joseph at J Choy Pro HVAC. He didn't waste time and granted me an appointment for the next day. We looked at the 5 - really 5 options the other company gave me and he said it's good you didn't didn't pay for those recommendations. They are unnecessary and almost double the cost. He checked my A/C unit and shorted me I need R22 Freon but my unit seemed to be working fine. I wish I had called him before it 109 degree heat wave. My house is cool now and air is circulating nicely. I highly recommend you give him a call. read more

During the peak of the heat, a few weeks ago, I ran into several issues with my air-conditioning unit. Being a renter, I had to wait on approval for a vendor and for repair cost one problem was fixed and a new problem started. One vendor refused to come out, another vendor came out, completely, dismissed the problem, and never attempted to order parts I had been without AC for a week and cannot be without climate control due to medical conditions. Desperately, I reached back out to property management and told them that I had been given a contact for another vendor. Enter Joe! I called Joe and explained the issues I was having with the AC. He listened and explained what he thought. Could be the problem and told me that he could be at the house within an hour. He was actually waiting for me to get home from work, and was very patient. He quickly and efficiently diagnose the problem (which was a confirmation of what he told me over the phone initially). He performed work right away, including checking airflow inside the house to make sure the rest of the system is working. When he said I may need a new fan motor I was in despair, considering the last place told me they had to find the model number and would have to order one. when asked how long it would take Joe told me he had one on the truck outside and it was brand new. He diagnose the problem, offered solutions and perform the work, and have my AC up and running in just under one hour! His rates were reasonable, and he was very transparent. He was professional and courteous and friendly. It was evident that he was a professional and had been doing this for quite some time as I watched him diagnose and make repairs. If you need AC service, I highly recommend you give them a call!! read more

Joey was amazing. He came out in the pouring rain and had my heat working within less then 5 mins. I will be referring him to anyone that has a HVAC issue. My furnace wasn't kicking out heat for the last few days. Since it is right before Thanksgiving, I was having trouble getting any appointments. Our contractor recommended Joey, and he was able to come out next day (today) to have a look. He was very professional and explained the workings of the furnace and why it was having issues. It turned out the filter just needed to be replaced sooner and needed to be reset. I had just replaced the filter the other day, so he said there was no charge. I definitely recommended him for all your HVAC needs, he knows his stuff. read more

Luv Joe! He picks up his phone when you call and responds to you when you text. Knows his stuff and will tell you what you need to know.

Great service very knowledgeable and friendly, goes beyond the call of duty. A friend of mine recommended Joesph Choy last year when my heater stopped working. My husband passed a few months before so my daughter suggested I get other quotes which I did and Joseph's was the best quote. However, while grieving I couldn't make a decision but I kept Joesph's number, 1. because he was so highly recommended and 2. he was very nice and answered all my questions. Anyway after a year of living in the cold and everyone else trying to talk me into a new A/C and heating unit (which there was nothing wrong with my A/C it works perfectly. Anyway, I got a few more quotes and of course Joesph beat them all so I called him. He ordered the heating unit said it would be there the next day and he'd instal it later that day after the delivery. I have a fine working heater now plus he also ordered me a case of the filters so I wouldn't run out. Like I said beyond the call of duty. He kept everything clean and even swept up when he was all done. This is class A service from beginning to end. I couldn't be any happier and pleased with the outcome, but especially with Joseph Choy and his commitment to excellence. read more

I call Joey Choi about my air conditioner not working. He ask what it was doing after telling him what it was doing, he was able to tell me what the problem was. I follow his instruction and was able to replace the capacitor myself. Thank you Joey. I would highly recommend him. read more

Was rereferred to them when our unit started acting up. They came out and fixed our aging unit. Ask for a quote to replace the A/C unit. I was asked if I wanted to replace the whole HVAC unit. Since I had put them in at the same time, I figured I might as well. Upon inspection of our system, he assured me I only needed to replace A/C unit. Proceeded to get unit replace after getting my quote. They came in and installed new unit, taking care to cover my floors on their path. They were also ok with my dogs being loose, which I didn't want them locked up all day while they worked. All in all, got exactly what we were promised, and they were done a bit earlier than expected. So we got our 20 seer unit at a good price, it is very quiet, and we got a 10 year warranty! Thank you Joe! I would DEFINITELY do business with J. Choy! read more
