I was told to comeback of the part continued to make noise. Which was very confusing because why are you taking my money and sending me home with my car after 7 days of alleged maintenance...only for me to still hear the loud noise coming from my defective axle which is attached to the differential. The number I was given to call back went to voicemail so I got a second opinion from another more honest and reliable mechanic ...who showed me exactly where the problem was....the mechanics at roc auto were irritated that I got a second opinion while I had both them and my new mechanic on a three way call...It's really a shame that these mechanics at roc auto conducts business this way...I would not recommend them to my worst enemy They make the rest of you mechanics look like scammers who take advantage of working class citizens.....thanks a lot You have been warned don't let them take your money

His prices were fair and he answered all of my questions. I love how honest he is and how he called me to provide updates. He didn't have a part in store for my oil change and called me to provide me with the option to go elsewhere or wait until he could get a new part. I decided to wait because I trusted him. I had a service B performed on my Mercedes and asked that he also check my entire car to see if there was anything else that needed to be repaired. He later called me, found that my rear breaks were worn and provided me with a quote of the cost and I asked if he could replace them. On the day I picked up my car, Jerry was very friendly and took time to explain everything to me and even helped me replace my car license plates and put on my registration sticker. I moved here with a brand new Buick, and got screwed by every Buick dealership in this area. We had some warranty issues, and got the run around. So we refuse to use another Buick dealership. Our next car won't be a Buick either. But that's not the point of this review. Point being we have had some bad car experiences. We have kids with cars too. So we desperately needed someone we could trust. Our own Yelp searches found us some okay mechanics. But their labor fees were way too high! Finally as we got to know our neighborhood, we were referred to Phil's Auto clinic. Now, we bring all our cars here. Phil, his family, and his team are amazing. They have reasonable prices, they work hard, fast, and accurately. I trust what they tell me. If he doesn't know, he says he doesn't know. He won't fix things that don't need to be fixed, just to rule them out, which is extremely refreshing. One thing I can't stand to hear a mechanic say is, "I couldn't duplicate the problem" it sounds lazy, put the damn car in the lift and find the problem. That's what Phil does. Very convenient to have such a trustworthy mechanic, so close to home. I can walk there to pick up my cars. He cares about his customers, and the work that leaves his shop. I can say enough about this place. I know he is slammed and doesn't need the business. When he was recommended to us, we were nervous he wasn't taking any new clients. It is my understanding that most people in our neighborhood and beyond use his garage. We are grateful to be part of this neighborhood, and one of this garages clients.

My exhaust was the first thing I've had done and I'm scheduled to get my struts and breaks fixed a little later! I just want to start off with how much they are working with me to get these things done. I'm not rich at all and if I had a stable job I would have loved to take them up on there offer with the credit options. But luckily, they know how to prioritize what needs fixing and scheduled me out for when I'll have the money to have those things fixed. Secondly, I want to point out how fast they got the job done! Julie had told me to bring it in so that they could diagnose the problem for me and that they could schedule me next week if I decided to get it fixed with them. Well, sure enough I bought it in on Friday morning, that same morning they were able to tell me what was wrong and the same day they ordered the parts and got it fixed! I literally got my car back at 3pm and genuinely did not expect that! I saw a sign in their shop and it said that they value their time, well I guess they also value everyone else's time too! I don't want to get into the free things that they did for me because I don't want anyone trying to come rip these lovely people off, but I do want to say the things that they did for me, that they had every right to charge me for, has let me know that I'm dealing with some really good people and has made this place my go-to spot! These are good hard working people who respects the customers that comes through their shop, no matter if you have a lot of money or not! The prices are absolutely doable and they don't pressure you if you can't do everything right then in there! Lastly, I just want to point out that I am a single black woman and the reason I bring up my race and gender is because we all know it matters, especially when it comes to mechanics! There was 20 minutes before closing. They got me in and fixed the tire but advised and warned me I needed a tire due to the 3_eights bolt hole in the tire.So I ordered a pair of tires, called my boss and took the day off. Next morning Tuesday I went to their shop and waited for the tire delivery,nothing. I waited all afternoon and Bob the owner got on the phone and so did Brian his mechanic. They made a few calls to their tire distributor and asked where my tires were. They were told a few stories. Bottom line, no tires. So I came home at 5 O'clock hoping that the tires would be delivered that evening and I could get them Wednesday morning. I went there there Wednesday morning after another day off,no tires. I was forced to go elsewhere for tires. My boss was getting annoyed. I was pleased with Bob and his mechanic how they stayed on the distributor, calling him, asking what the problem was with delivery. And Bob said he's had problems before. And after it happened to me he apologized and said this guy is going to get a piece of my mind. And I may add that Bob didn't charge me for repairing the flat the evening before, hey I ordered 2 new tires from him, and have bought gas there for a long time on weekends when I prepare for the week. I really respected Bob and his staff for their customer courtesy. I was impressed with how organized his store is. He has built a good business for himself. He was fair with me!
