My dentist sent me to Dr. Miller, and I was terrified at the idea of the procedure(s) I needed. Dr. Miller and the staff explained the process thoroughly and reassured me that it would be relatively painless. My original appointment was for a few months down the road, but they fit me in to cancellations, fortunately. Very professional and caring. I'm so glad my dentist sent me here. PS: Floss, people!

So, after getting pushed by my kid's dentist for probably two years I finally bit the bullet to…read morebegin the whole braces experience. Of course as if that's not enough after the initial consultation with the orthodontist I find that before the braces can be applied the child needs a gum graft and that can only be done at a periodontist. (If you don't know what a gum graft is, well here you go: www.webmd.com/oral-health/guide/gum-tissue-graft-surgery) Lucky for me (lol!) the orthodontist knows a guy who she recommends for all of this type of work which is how we hooked up with Dr. Miller's practice at Valley Implants. The initial set up was a piece of cake. I made a call and they scheduled us after school in about two weeks. The visit was fast enough and after around thirty minutes we were on our way with a date to have the procedure done. The only quirk so far was that I had to repeat to the office staff, Dr. Miller and his assistant that no, the child did not have an X-Ray done at the orthodontist because they won't do anything with her until the gum graft was finished (more on this later). The procedure was scheduled about a month later so that the child could take a day or two off from school around a holiday since eating/talking initially is a bit difficult. As for the procedure itself the Doctor is a cool customer who has clearly done this many times before and has no issue cracking jokes/talking/keeping both the patient and the parent at ease during the procedure. Everything was done in about an hour along with a full set of post-op instructions. So far, so good. Why overall only three stars? Well it all comes down to communication/the office staff. The office staff loses a star as one person in particular was a real jerk over the phone. Follow up visit #2 (which by the way was a waste of time since all we did was show up to have another X-Ray done since the insurance company wouldn't process the claim without an X-Ray which of course should have been done before the procedure + an X-ray from the child's primary dentist was supposedly never sent) was scheduled in the office after follow up visit #1 with blonde at a time that we could not make. I asked blonde for a time that was thirty minutes later and she told me no problem. Now when she calls the day prior to follow up visit #2 to confirm the appointment, she asks if we can make the time that I initially told her that we couldn't make. I politely remind her that we cannot make that time to which she then snaps at me that it was "fine" and that we could just show up whenever but not to forget that the office closed at five. Why I had to be reminded that they closed at five when all I wanted was to move the time from 3:30 to 4:00 I'll never understand, but I digress. The next issue involves billing. The office staff had nothing to do with the billing as Dr. Miller quoted me a price at the initial consultation visit by scribbling down a number down on a Post-It Note and then asking me if that was a good number. I said yes and I figured that was the price. Of course when I see the EOB and the eventual bill from the office sure enough that price now has increased by 20% without any explanation. When I say without explanation I mean no one said a thing the day of the procedure, at either of the two follow up visits nor did the bill explain the extra 20%. I called the office and was told that extra work was done during the child's procedure which necessitated the extra cost. When I bring up the Post-It Note with the figure on it and the lack of explanation they of course have no idea and I'm told that they have to talk to Dr. Miller and that they'll get back to me. I'm still waiting for that call. I guess I can say that there is no doubt that Dr. Miller does very good work and clearly he is a very good dentist. The procedure was as advertised and I have no issues with any of his work in the child's mouth. What I do have an issue with is that the office staff (one person in particular) is a bit shall we say pushy-grouchy and the billing is a little shady-vague-less than transparent. Unfortunately in the near future we might have the need for this type of dental work again and quite honestly because of the billing I'm going to think twice before coming back here as to me the price should be the price unless things are explained either fully in advance (which they weren't) or immediately after the procedure (again, they weren't) because I shouldn't need to chase them down for an explanation when they change the price without any notice.

Dr Mark had me sedated but could not do the job because he said I would not calm down, or may have be having a reaction. That is the good thing because I still have me teeth & my original dentist was able to create a special crown/bridge that worked out fine. My problem is I am still stick with a $900. set of choppers that were never fitted, and no recourse to get my money back. I am hoping Dr Mark and his staff have a record of my visit & can help me track down the dentist that is responsible for my $900,problem. My info below: Roger W. It's not. i was going to a different dentist, in Emmaus, PA, where the oral hygienist essentially tortured me (I even have an injury on the root of a tooth from their hostile scaling technique, though there's no hope of getting their admission of it). I started scaling my own teeth to reduce this feeling of being brutalized at semiannual cleanings, and it made no difference at all. At Antonis' office, I said "Wow, you barely did anything with the hook". The hygienist admitted "you basically did all the work". This taught me that my other hygienist was not doing anything sensible and had only been scraping mindlessly. I'll never go back to them, but I WOULD go back to Antonis' people. I told the receptionists how impressed I was with the gentleness of Antonis' hygienists. The one receptionist said "Oh I know, I love them here!" She then told an oral hygienist anecdote of her own, from her own prior dentist. When she somewhat shyly complained about her hygienist, to the receptionist at her old dental office, the dentist happened to be within hearing distance and said "What? She's been warned before about that" and the dentist walked back and fired the woman on the spot. So let this be a lesson to you: if you're putting up with an oral hygienist abusing your mouth during cleanings, this is NOT normal. Try the hygienists at Mark Antonis' office. I had two different ones and both were gentle. Note, this was circa 2006. I don't know if the same hygienists are there today.

I chose this provider because they were flexible, the additional services provided a luxe experience and the customer service representatives were friendly and helpful. I completed my files ahead of time electronically which was great and made check in easy. The day of my appointment, I was greeted by a woman with an amazing smile and top notch personality. Immediately I felt like I needed to be here. They are currently undergoing renovations as this is the secondary location, however the front end of the office looks superb. When brought to the back rooms for dental work is where the atmosphere is dated and not the same as the newly renovated office or the STROUDSBURG location. My cleaning with Clara? and exam with Dr. Taormina was amazingly thorough, however my experience lacked what I was essentially looking for and could have received at the other location. This is the only reason why I gave 4 stars and look forward to my 6 month exam when everything will be completed and brand new! Again- I loved everything and everyone, just a little sad that I didn't get the full Serenity experience. Thanks again!

When we were going to leave they suddenly had appointments the next day for me and two days later for my wife. Okay! I was to have a wisdom tooth pulled before leaving Florida by my dentist at Gulf Coast Smiles. I needed a new filling and a deep cleaning too. Broad Street Dental is sending me to a periodontist for the cleaning because their Hygienist is busy till October, 2019 with cleanings. Really?? Their sending me to an oral surgeon to pull a wisdom tooth??? Really? My dentist in Florida was willing to pull it no oral surgeon needed. When I asked the doctor why I need an oral surgeon, she said maybe he is more experienced. Really? I was with my wife for her visit. While waiting for her in their office - on the referrals, I asked if they are, "In Network" referrals. They said they didn't know, I should call them and if not in network, they will provide another referral. Really? Why didn't they find out if referral was , "In Network", before dishing them out. There are 2-4 people behind the counter gabbing, yet they don't have the time to provide, "In Network", referrals. Really? After I said okay, they made the calls for me. After going to an Oral Surgeon for Wisdom Extraction, and a Periodontist for the cleaning, I can then go back for the new filling. The feeling (which is important) is that they are so busy and so overbooked, their doing us a favor taking us as clients. Really?
