As usual in AZ looked at pics tried the salon and left with a so called balayage and paid over $200 for dry brown hair! Tried to contact them to return some of my money to get my hair fixed at another salon but nothing. At least the last salon apologized and fixed it a little and did a hair treatment. I've been coming to this salon for years. It recently moved to a new location and renamed the salon to J. Braun, it used to be Indigo. The location isn't far from their old location but boy is it beautiful! I l love everything about it! The hairdressers here are amazing. They are so amazing that after I moved to California 2 years ago I still only cut my hair HERE when I come and visit family. They have spoiled me so much and do such a great job that I refuse to let anyone else touch my hair. Yes, that's how good they are here. I've had several services done here like pedicures, facials, waxing, hair cuts and color. And when I lived down the street I used to come in and just get my hair washed. I love all the staff, they treat me so good! The new salon is gorgeous and one thing I love is that they made a kids room with TV and video games. I've never seen anything like that before! They know how to cater to their clients. I was a little worried about the move, I was expecting higher prices but surprisingly nothing changed. Usually places that move to a nicer location raise their prices and lack the same quality they once had. So far not with J Braun! I can't wait to come back in a few months and see how this location is doing! read more

I started seeing Erica N. for all things hair and as I have evolved in my styling and coloring needs, she has held my hand the entire way. The best part?!? I have naturally curly hair which I know can be hard to manage and yet above all of this, we (my hair and I) owe her and JBraun a great deal of thanks. Upon walking in, the receptionists are very friendly and knowledgeable. Should you have to wait, a variety of drinks are offered from wine to flavored water. The ambiance was well though out- the colors inside are calming and the decor is tasteful. Why do I truly love JBraun? I can always get worked in if I'm in a bind and I feel as though Erica knows me better than I know myself at times. I always set my next appointment before I walk out the door and if there is earlier availability the day of my appointment, I always receive a phone call asking if an earlier time would be more convenient for me. Erika did my updo from a picture I showed her. My hair looks a million better than the picture I showed her. And check this: she did it within 30 min. Used a ton of fancy products so my hair can hold all night. Gave me suggestions on hair pins. Salon staff were incredibly nice, clean, accommodating, and courteous. Other customers were super nice. You can tell they've built themselves a culture. The lady next to me who got a haircut was also very pleased. I'm definitely going to pick this as my Tucson all hair needs place. Do not go to Emily. Worst cut ever. Literally have a bald spot where she scalped me. I wanted a short ladies style and instead of telling me she made a mistake and we talk about how to fix. She just kept cutting all the way up. I now have hair that sticks up in a spine at my part. And it had super jagged edges. Bald spot. Wow my last experience at J Braun warrants a major update. My husband surprised me for my birthday with a purchase of a prenatal massage. One would think that they would be prepared for that, but they were not. The massage therapist appeared surprised that I was pregnant and the only pillow I was offered was the oldest, lumpiest pillow while I was laying on my back (at 33 weeks pregnant). The therapist was also not really keen on massaging my feet stating that certain trigger points could put me into labor. She also said that a hairstylist she works with "swears that a massage was the reason she miscarried." HONESTLY, WHO SAYS THAT?! I am sorry, but you should know how to do prenatal massages and there should be pregnancy pillows. I will never go here and recommend you do not. read more

Daulia is AMAZING!!!! She got me in early and even went over on time a little bit just to make sure I was comfortable. During the massage she made sure to hit the point that mattered to me most, made sure I was comfortable with the pressure, and the aromatherapy. She is a sweetheart and very knowledgeable. She even gave me a few tips and tricks to help me with my soreness and achiness. It was the first time I've ever been in this salon and spa and she made it worth it. I have had Alazae cut my hair for several years, so when she moved to this salon, I booked an appointment. All of the staff are friendly, professional, and make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in the door until you are finished. They offer massage and other services as well. I'm so impressed with this salon! I just went for the first time and will definitely be back. I found Alazae on FB. She responded to my messages so promptly! She was able to get me in within the week. Alazae is amazing. I normally despise getting my hair done, because I'm impatient and have a sensitive head. She was so friendly and made the time fly by. She was so gentle as well. I appreciated the little touches, like a warm towel for my neck when my hair was washed. (They also have complimentary wine!) Since I was already going for my hair, I reached out to Alazae to inquire about waxing services. She recommended her coworker Ivy. I spoke to Ivy less than 24 hours before my appointment and she was able to accommodate me into her schedule after I finished having my hair done. I went here a couple of times and was not very satisfied with the results but it is so close to my house that I would have kept going back with just okay results for the convenience it offered. However, my third visit to this salon changed that. I went in for my usual heavy highlight and cut. My highlights were not very blonde after getting a heavy highlight that took at least 2 1/2 hours. She also lightened by base color without me asking her to. What is the point in the foils if you are just going to make my hair all one color?? I went in a couple of days later for the girl to fix it and she (no exaggeration) argues with me for at least 10 min. I can't even tell you how many times I heard "my vision for your hair". I finally let her know that I wasn't there for her "vision" for my hair....I was there to pay for MY vision for my hair. I had even shown her a picture of my own hair before hand. I went here a couple weeks ago just to simply get my eyebrows done. Usually I get my eyebrows done at just some regular salon. I was short on time and went here and it was really nice inside and smelled really good haha. I didn't know how much it was going to be because there wasn't a sign that said anything. I went back to a room where I laid on one of those fancy beds which was defiantly different. I got my eyebrows waxed and she even added some kind of moisturizer after which was different. The staff was really nice and caring. The only problem I really had was that it was $20 to get them waxed when I usually pay 10$. This was probably the nicest salon I've been to but I do believe they should charge no more $15. If it was 15$ or less I would more than likely go back there for regular eyebrow waxing but $20 is just too much and that doesn't even include the tip. Paying almost 30$ to get your eyebrows done is just too much. I do give them 5 stars though because it was defiantly a very nice salon and I'll probably only go back when I really want to treat myself. read more

I had a massage with Dahlia in December 2014. I had previously had a massage with her in late 2013. My first massage was great. My last massage was superb. She has obviously spent a great deal of time lifting her game and trying to become a master masseuse. The last massage was as good as it gets and I should know since I get a massage once a week. She has become intuitive and knows exactly what you need and then feels you out verbally for assurance that she is on the right track which she always is. Yesterday I had my first pedicure with J Braun and had a very pleasant experience. I have become disenfranchised with the Nail Mills at the mall or other locations. I called and got a same day appointment. The staff were friendly and the nail tech did an awesome job. Took about 45 mins and the massage was very well done. They off complimentary water, tea, coffe, soft drinks and Wine ! If I wasn't going to the doctors after I would have partook. Will definitely go back. This place was amazing. I walked in to see if I could get a gel manicure and was told that they would have to contact the nail tech, Alisha, to see what she had available because she had just left. I completely understood because I was a walk in. Alisha came back at 3:30pm and proceeded to do the best manicure I have ever had here in Tucson. I picked this place because it's right down the street from where I am going to be moving and had a not so good experience at one that is right next to them. She even talked to me the whole time and really made me feel like she was interested in who I was and getting to know me as a client. $32 for a COMPLETE manicure (even the cuticles, which normally never happened at the other place I went), a little finger soak in water with little hot rocks in it, full hand and arm massage (even down to the finger tips), and a back massage....all while being able to try on a couple different colors because I couldn't choose between 3!!! I am watching my little brother this week and they even had a little kids area where they can play an xbox or watch movies while waiting. I will definitely be coming back.
