Today, we needed a new battery installed. We purchased it at a local shop, but because of certain circumstances, we needed a mechanic to install it. My past…read moreexperience with this brand, but not this particular store, was very expensive oil changes and telling me I need to get an oil flush completed on a car that's only a year old with regular oil changes. Again... not at this particular store. I just moved to Azle and didn't see many options available so I gave them a shot. They quoted me 2 hours labor ( a little difficulty to get to) and the part. I had already called Midas in Lake Worth and they quoted me at least 40% higher saying the part was going to be more than $300 for rebuilt. I called O'riley and they said $125 for rebuilt or $200 for new so I knew Midas was trying to screw me. Going into Kwik Kar I already had that information so I'd know if they were trying to take me on a ride. Luckily, quite the opposite happened. They gave me about the same numbers for the part as O'riley and the two hours labor sounded fair. Now I walked in knowing exactly what I needed fixed so no diagnostic was necessary. I can say I will definitely give them a thumbs up for regular auto repairs and fairness at this location. Can't vouch for diagnostic services but I'll at least give them a try for that too one day. Glad to have a decent company in my backyard. By the way, the 4 stars instead of 5 is because they didn't use disposable gloves when they handled the car and gave me my key so it had oil residue on it and the steering wheel. This is somewhat common but a pain for the consumer. Fix that and you've got 5 stars!

Guide track on car wash is broken leaving a sharp metal pipe sticking out where you pull in. Not able to see it when pulling up. Needless to say it tore a hole in my tire and damaged my rim. Manager said it broke a few days ago and he tried to grind it down. He also said the owner wouldn't let him shut the wash down. They refuse to take any responsibility and now I have to buy a new tire and rim. Their willful negligence does not release them of liability and I will be talking to my lawyer.

OIL CHANGE are about 20 minutes. BATTERY SWAP is about 20 minutes for the more modern cars. So, if the whole town comes in for 4 tire changes, it will be 1hr turnaround for per car = long wait times. Otherwise, the shop is VERY clean! Lobby is comfortable with a TV and is located within steps of a well stocked Automotive Department. There is a Subway inside if to grab a quick bite, too!
