I bought my first pair of ostrich cowboy boots in the early 80s and they were Tony Lamas. I believe during that era the late great Cobbler Juan Cruz worked for Tony Lamas. I can only hope Juan had a hand in making those boots for me. Just by chance we happen to park right in front of J & M Custom Boots. A nice man named Marcos from inside came out to wish us a good day. We started to talk with him and looked at his must see boot display/collection. We were blown away at the artistry, quality and craftsmanship of the boots. It comes to find out that Marcos is the son of Juan Cruz. Marcos is a third generation boot maker and learned from his father and maintains the old school craftsmanship in his boot making. If you are looking for a custom pair of boots, I highly recommend having Marcos make them for you. read more
