Such a welcoming place! Very kind. Food it's delicious. Went on a very windy day and the food was perfect

Got everything they had and it was my first time it was all really good fresh food. The meat just slides off the bone and was very tender.

Amazing food and great service at this take-out food spot. I highly recommend the turkey tail, quarter chicken and the corn bread.

She charged me the "Palagi/Meauli Tax" on my purchase!…read more Two 2 years ago, I gave Soa's Kitchen a deserved 5 star rating. The food is still great and authentic, but I am extremely disappointed with their current business practices! Soa's Kitchen used to have posted pricing for containers and plates two years ago, but now there is no signage of pricing anywhere in the restaurant. I trusted the employee, and didn't pay any attention to the scale when she was ringing up my order. At the time, the total did seem a bit high, but I let it go for the sake of supporting a Samoan business. When I got home, I told my Savaiian wife that I'm pretty sure that I was charged the "Palagi Tax" today on my order, over $90 for 2 combo plates (Each Plate contained: 1pc Taro, 1pc Faʻalifu Faʻi, 1pc Fasi Povi Masima, 2 ribs of Mamoe Tao, 1 scoop of Kale Mamoe) and 2 Paluasami. When I showed her the receipt, she was like "WTF"! After going to Soa's Kitchen website, and reading several reviews, I see that I am not the only one who feels cheated, and confirmed the "Palagi Tax" practices! I want to support "Black & Brown Businesses", but I need Soa's Kitchen to provide fair business practices. Soa's Kitchen needs to post their pricing and they need to charge everyone fairly, not based on personal bias of the customer. If I ever go to Soa's Kitchen again, and I don't see any posted pricing, I will just not be your customer, I will not support your business!

Got 6 of the small cocktail pies and 4 half moon pies and 2/2(4)supo esi/suafa'i and it cost over $90. All the small cocktail pies pies weren't cooked well, the inside was half jello and other side just watery and for $4 for one, I wasn't very happy. The half moon pies tasted old and stale, didn't seem fresh. I think the sua fa'i and supo esi were the only good items I got from yesterday. Quite expensive and not good quality for the pastries, safe to say not getting pastries there again

I give 3 stars to the property, but 5 stars to the breakfast and to Sabrina at the front desk…read more The property seems to be mostly occupied by people who live here long term. I saw people using the grill, playing basketball, doing laundry, and using the outdoor pool like they do it every day. It's a very old property. I didn't mind that the decor is outdated but I did mind that many parts of the hotel are not functional anymore. Most importantly, the sofa bed was terrible. The mattress had at least 10 pee colored stains on it. (Sabrina was very helpful finding another mattress without stains.) Every time I moved, the entire mattress creaked so that I kept waking myself up during the night every time I moved. I was also afraid to touch the sofa part of the couch because it was so old looking. The pool bathroom was pretty disgusting - the toilet didn't fit on the bowl, the paint was peeling, and the door to the bathroom wouldn't close shut. As for the positives, the "suite" was very small but it did have a small cooktop, kitchen sink, and fridge/freezer. The free breakfast buffet was great too, with a choice between chocolate and regular waffles, canned fruit apples and bananas, and scrambled eggs/bacon with awesome toppings like green and red salsa and shredded cheese.

Super dated property and in a weird industrial area with lots of bugs at night. First room we were…read moregiven smelled heavily of smoke but Sabrina at the front desk quickly moved us to another room and was super apologetic. Standard free breakfast buffet with a waffle station that always slaps. Butter, syrup, whipped cream and strawberry preserves. While it was dated, there were plenty of towels, a pull out sofa, a desk with a chair and an ottoman as a second seat. Staff were all very friendly but this spot is sort of far from the airport and not near anything noteworthy. Def a cheap overnight stay for a Marriott property.
