Once you do, they will only provide lip service and do the bare minimum to protect your home or remedy negligence. As a result, you may be left with major home damage and financial consequences. December 2018: I purchased my home and kept it under a termite contract at Ja-Roy, formerly Dugas Pest Control, that I renewed each year. Despite annual visits to the home, Ja-Roy never identified any active or inactive pests throughout the home. August 30, 2026: I contacted Ja-Roy about extending the renewal and transferring the contract to a homebuyer. Despite multiple emails and calls (via the automated phone system, which routes to a foreign call center), I never received confirmation of the renewal extension/transfer. September 4: The homebuyer canceled due in part to the finding of powder post beetle activity throughout both the subfloor and wood floor. I continued to call and email Ja-Roy for assistance. September 7: I received a call from the local manager who promised to address the issue. September 9: A Ja-Roy inspector confirmed the active beetles. I emailed the manager timestamped photos of wood floor damage by the beetles that worsened, therefore proving activity, throughout the duration of Ja-Roy's contract with the home. I requested that since Ja-Roy failed to identify the beetles, they provide free treatment. September 15: The manager replied that the best he could offer was a discounted rate for the treatment, but that he would submit my case to the company's claim department. In the meantime, since I was on a deadline due to another pending buyer, we decided to move forward with the treatment. The next step was for the company to measure the crawlspace in order to identify a technician to apply the treatment. September 22: The manager assured me he would provide an update on the measurement, my claim status, and the WDIR. As of today (September 29), no one has returned to my house to measure the crawlspace, scheduled treatment, or returned my texts and calls. I have lost my second homebuyer due in part to this issue. And no, Ja-Roy, I will not be "contacting your office," per your other replies to negative reviews. I have contacted you ad nauseam. You have my account and contact information.

Which meant I couldn't just let them onto the property, I had to go show them the areas that needed attention and let them know which bugs we had issues with in the house. They were recently bought out by a national company and I decided I was done. Came into Pestop today and told the guy at the counter the bugs we typically encounter. For $90 I bought a 16oz container of concentrate. You only use 1.5oz mixed into a gallon of water for each application. Math says that works out to 10 applications. You spray every 3-6 months, so you're looking at 2.5-5yrs. It is safe for use both indoors and outdoors and around pets and kids. We also bought a $30 spray container and $15 vial of cockroach egg killer as I've been noticing babies around the house. I also inquired about termite bait traps and he said their Covington store has them, explained how to check them, and what to do if I found the bait sticks had been chewed. Super helpful. I'll be saving almost $1000/yr! We were paying $386 for yearly termite control and $125 for quarterly outdoor spraying. Now that we have the spray canister, I'll probably be spending closer to $36/yr if we continue to spray quarterly.

Reading the reviews on here is honestly shocking to me! The Bug Man has been nothing short of reliable and extremely knowledgeable for me. I haven't had issues with their billing department so I won't speak more on that. What I will speak about is the amazing technician that I've worked with a few times over the past six months (once at my office) and just this morning at my house! The office complex has had issues with rodents and fleas from said rodents. They were able to get the problem corrected quickly and we haven't seen any issues since (that was in June/July). Fast forward to this morning, there is suddenly a fly infestation in my house as of about 36 hours ago... I felt like I was living through the plagues of Egypt in my own home. I still had Mike's cell phone number in my phone from the office incident and texted him. He was able to squeeze my house in between appointments for a quick inspection.
