No one likes being towed, so I am sure most people are already PO'd by the time they get here to retrieve their car. The location is not really easy to find, nor is there an office that I could tell. I had to call a number given to me by the McDonald's that towed me (don't park in private lots to avoid street sweeping, kiddos) and some one basically told me to call them when i was at the address. They pulled up with my car on the truck. They take cash only and you basically just hand it to the driver to get your car back. I will say though, after the tow from Crown Heights to nearly Red Hook and two days in their storage, I was charged $136. They charge $15 a day for the storage for each day you don't get your car, which really isn't gouging anyone considering you don't have a choice. I found the guy who brought me my car to be very nice and I was happy I wasn't being charged hundreds of dollars. I wish things were a little easier to get to and find since I wasted a lot of time wondering where the heck I was and who I was supposed to talk to, but as far as towing goes, the prices and experience could be way worse. read more

Literal pieces of shit. I showed up calm to pick up my car bc I know they're just doing their jobs and no one was here. I had to call their number. They lied and said the guy "would be back in 20-35 minutes". I've now been here for 90 minutes. They won't answer any of their phones and they're holding my car hostage. Fuck this place. read more

Last night I got towed due to some poor decision making, and when I finally found out where they had taken the car- I looked up the company that I would be dealing with. I saw some very poor reviews here, so I must admit I was a bit weary to begin the process of contacting them and finding out how much it was going to cost me. J & C to my relief was actually very friendly, accommodating, and they took care of my transaction and car release so quickly I couldn't believe I had my vehicle back in less than 5 minutes! In the end, it cost less to be towed by J & C than if I were towed by NYPD, and I am very grateful to them for making my first tow yard experience so less intimidating than I had imagined. Okay so legit was nervous coming down here after being towed from hotel on union steeet after reading reviews. Had five suitcases with me and Uber to the lot hoping he would be there despite my calling first. I had only 116 on me and Murphy's law of course my bank account was frozen from fraud activity I was very concerned at this point especially being out of state. He worked out a deal with me to my pleasant surprise and legit was chill about my wait to chase back n forth three times .... nobody likes the repo man but I parked where I parked so it is what it is. I used these guys after an accident. They dented my front fender. They refused to pay for it. They are very nasty. Don't use these bums.

J & C Towing is great, they were a lifesaver. I had a pick up truck blocking my driveway and I couldn't get out. I had a neighbor 5 houses down that was having a party so I walked over and asked and I told it didn't belong to anyone there. After 2 hours of called a friend at the 122nd precinct. After another 45 minutes the cat was issued a ticket and I was referred to J & C Towing in Brooklyn. I spoke to a dispatcher that assured me they would have someone right over. In about 20 minutes Anthony showed up and as he was moving the truck the owner decided to show up. Anthony was very professional despite the owner not being very nice (hahaha). Anthony maintained his cool and took charge. I didn't have to say a word. After all was said and done Anthony gave me his card with his personal cell phone number and said I can call him 24/7 for any Towing needs. Thank you J & C!!! read more

BEWARE. This outfit is a SCAM and a racket. First off, they work hand in hand with stores like 7/11 etc. They are paying the stores a percentage of the tow fee. I got towed from a 7/11 in Brooklyn after 10 minutes of parking there. The 7/11 owner called them in no time. There's a sign on the wall with a phone number. A guy on the phone will tell you to go to their place to redeem the car. When I got there I found out that it is some locked yard with a sign in the middle of nowhere. My car was already inside behind a chained gate. No one is around. When I called again the same asshole on the phone told me he is sending a "driver". I waited 2 hours in the cold and no one shows up. Then the asshole tells me that on Friday they close at 3PM and I should come on Saturday 10 AM. I came again on Saturday, no one is there. Called again, this time there's some dispatcher on the phone telling me they don't work on Saturday. After one call they will not answer any longer and you will be sent to voice mail. They kept the car for the entire weekend. When they finally showed up on Monday, they took cash only. No credit card. Also, beware of the nasty guy in the garage across the street - they work together. Save yourself the trouble. Best thing to do is to bring a bolt cutter and cut the chain to take your car if no one shows up. I'm filing a strong complaint with the NYC DCA. They should shut down shady outfits like this one. read more

No communication between tow operator and office. The dispatcher, Anthony, a real obnoxious person, who hangs up on you. Multiple address, can figure out their real location, they'll direct you to lot that houses a vacant trailer, by the looks of it, it hasn't been occupied in years. Let me get to the issue that has caused this bad review. My car was about to be towed, the tow driver advises if we pay, he won't take the car. We pay and he leaves with the receipt and the ticket issued by the officer. To make worse, when we try to obtain the ticket, they send a blurry text. Real professionals.
