The chips were warm and the salsa was delicious-- bright, flavorful, and with just the right amount of kick (mild heat but not too spicy; your three-year-old might not be a fan but my husband who doesn't normally like too spicy enjoyed it). I ordered my staple whenever I visit a diner/cafe for the first time-- the Patty Melt with mustard and mayo on the side (this condiment combination on the side is winning with a patty melt, btw ). They offer all the veggies with it but I just ordered mine with sautéed onion. The food took a little bit but we weren't in a hurry and when it came out it was nice and hot. My Patty Melt was served on a buttery grilled Texas Toast with a side of fries and it was oh so good. Loved the variation of Texas Toast in place of Rye bread. It was seasoned well and both classic and unique. Made with love! The fries had a good balance of crispy and soft inside. My husband and son ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger and were really happy with it. My husband said that it tasted like a "Texas Burger." Doesn't that say it all, though. The women working inside were kind and welcoming. They chatted with us and were helpful whenever we asked questions about the menu. They gave us a sweet Texas goodbye on our way out and told us to drive carefully like sweet Texas mamas do.
