The team was very professional and hard working, patient enough to hear and apply our requirements. Sometimes it was a bit hard to reach their management, but I guess they were busy, still would get updates and feedback on a regular basis. Price reasonable and treatment was fair and professional all the way to the end. I would recommend them for any project, it was nice to work with the Avid team.

This top dollar company did the outside work on my row house in Park Slope. We had the place…read morerebuilt and sided and we put a decorative cap at the top of the building. This is the work they do slowly (5 months to being really done), at their convenience, but they do exterior work well. The problem came with the interior work. I asked to have a built in cabinet/bookcase built over one wall. The owner did not remember that I insisted I wanted the piece built out of solid wood, birch to be exact, and painted. Whenever you want painted wood you need to specify that it must be wood or many companies will cut corners. We wanted doors to hide the TV to fold back into the unit. When the piece came the doors could not be installed that way because the depth was wrong on the piece. The entire thing was built out of some crap pressed cardboard product which stunk of formaldehyde and fifty other chemicals - which was exactly what I wanted to avoid since we had two babies in the house. They charged $2500, needed up front, of course. Now, three years later that piece is bubbling from where drinks have been put down on it and since it's cardboard it can't be repaired. We would have had them remove it the day it arrived but after five months of construction on a job that should have taken one month we wanted to get our house back. They also lost the handles for four of the six windows we had installed and also lost the screen to a custom window. It took weeks to convince them that they lost it and that we need the screen and then weeks to get it delivered. Never again inside the house, but for exterior work on a row house - which is tricky business - they were better than the other options. Be prepared to stay on top of them and call when they vanish for a week or two with your house covered in plywood.

DO NOT USE THIS ROOFING COMPANY!…read more In 2021, I was looking to redo my roof and I went with this company. They came the very next day for the consultation and promised they could start the day after and it would be a one day job. However, they ended up showing up late afternoon in the winter so they had to come back the next day to finish up. Even though they promised to show up in the morning again, they did not show up till late afternoon. This 1 day job ended up being 3 days. We had signed a contract stating there is a 10 year warranty on the roof and the manager/supervisor promised if there was any leaks within 10 years he would come back and fix it. I have a voice recording of him saying this and a copy of our written contract of course. Less than 1.5 years later, in 2023, my roof is leaking again. I have been reaching out, calling/texting etc but this company will make up every excuse in the book not to show up. After months of promising to come "the next day for sure 100%", they will not show. Finally, they showed up 1 time just to inspect and they told me they didn't have the materials and they would come back tomorrow to fix it. Of course, they never came back. They texted me saying I would need to buy the materials, because the guarantee in the contract only covers labor costs and not materials. He offered to help me buy the materials for $80 or I can buy it myself. They made it very difficult for me to buy the materials by sending very blurry pictures and misspelling the name of the product in hopes that I would give them money instead. In the end, I was able to buy the materials, but they never showed up to fix it. In the end, they blocked my number when they realized they were not getting any more money from me. I used a new number to call them and they immediately picked up. After realizing it was not new business, they told me I had to pay for labor to fix my roof despite being well within the 10 year warranty. They are now making up another excuse that the leak is not from what they worked on (which is a complete lie as they redid my entire roof). In the end, they never showed up (after promising they would, of course) and blocked my second phone number. I have evidence of everything I stated above about this company (contract/license/text messages/phone logs) and I am happy to share with anyone considering using this company. TLDR: Your roof will leak again shortly after the job and they will not come back unless you pay them more to fix their own work.

Do not hire Jason…read more My experience with him has been an absolute nightmare. I paid him thousands of dollars for bathroom renovation work, and instead of completing the job properly, I was left with thousands of dollars in additional damage and repairs. He damaged marble that cost approximately $8,000, broke a bathtub that cost about $1,200, broke tiles, and left behind thousands of dollars worth of additional repairs and corrective work. I kept making payments because I trusted that the job would be completed professionally, but instead I was left with damaged materials, unfinished work, and even more money to spend fixing everything. His reliability was just as bad. Jason and his crew would show up for a few days, disappear for several days, come back for a day, and then disappear again. This pattern kept repeating while the project dragged on far beyond what I was originally told. I feel completely taken advantage of. I trusted him with my home and paid him thousands of dollars, only to be left with damaged materials worth thousands more and a bathroom that still required major repair work. Save your money. Save yourself the stress. Find somebody else. Based on my experience, I would never recommend Jason to anyone. I am pursuing legal action to recover the money and damages I have been left with.
