The reservation person was very nice. Total windows cost much less than the first cleaners I called. Two, polite guys arrived on time and donned shoe covers before entering my apartment. They showed me three installation problems with my windows and fixed the one they could. (The others were missing screws.). They positioned themselves safely while cleaning. I made an appointment and was asked to have the building super approve the Certificate of Insurance, which I did. Six days prior to the appointment, Total Window informed me that the appointment had been cancelled because I hadn't confirmed approval of the COI. They did not even have the courtesy to check in before cancelling. Have no idea if they can wash windows, but if you want even rudimentary customer service, I'd look elsewhere. read more

I had a complicated job to re-seal the windows on my solarium on the UWS. It was difficult to access the job but Andriy and his crew were able to use a rope system to get it done. Four other window companies turned down the work as "too difficult". Total Window not only got the job done on time but at the best price of any service I spoke with. I was very satisfied with every stage of the process: the initial phone conversation, to the quoting process, the in-person job review and especially the execution of the re-sealing work. Their website says that they clean using 7 steps. But when they were in my apartment, they said that two of the steps (wiping the tracks and cleaning the sill) are not standard and would cost more money. Also, they only wipe the inside of the screen and do not clean the outside unless you pay more. They left dust and dirt everywhere, explaining that it costs more to clean up after themselves! So unless you are prepared to pay more money than the original estimate, or don't care about a messy job, don't hire them. read more

I took a chance on this company--no one I knew personally had used them-- and I couldn't be more pleased.. My windows have never looked cleaner. Some are old and are very hard to maneuver, but the guys who came conquered every challenge. They even cleaned the windows with AC window units in them, and managed to clean one almost impossible to get to picture window. They were super-pleasant, professional, and actually thoughtful about how to best approach each difficult to reach area. Very highly recommend them. read more
