We've been using Clearity for years. We have City-Quiet double windows and screens and it's a tricky job, but they always come are extremely careful to not dirty up our light gray rugs, and they work quickly and when they leave they take the grime of the city with them and our windows are sparkling clean. I used Clearity for years...always paid my check and was told tax was included in the price. Last week they came to clean my windows and at the end I was informed the price had gone up and if I paid by check they had to add tax. (Oh, but if I made my check out to "Cash" then I didn't have to pay the tax.) When I complained they called the office and I was promised a call back within 1 minute. I waited over 5 and finally just added the tax to my check and told them to leave. If you use Clearity make sure they tell you the price up front. The tax, no tax and offer for me to make my check out to "cash" was not professional. The fact that the window price went up as well (and I was not informed) was very bad on their part as well. After several emails back and forth to provide me with an estimate, I was told that a technician would stop by to conduct an evaluation in order to provide an estimate. I took the day off in order to accommodate Ivan and when nobody showed up at the prescribed time, I was told that the appointment had not been put on the schedule. Needless to say, I'm terribly disappointed and wasted a day off as well as several days to have the windows cleaned. Though they claim a high rating on Angie's list and other places, I'm afraid I can't vouch for Clean Windows NYC as they are unorganized, unprofessional and unreliable. read more

I contacted Ivan to remove scratches from a terrace door. He showed up for a quick consultation and made an appointment to return to fix the problem. He showed up an hour later than I thought and took a bit longer than I had anticipated but he did a great job and the price was very fair. I believe his company cleans windows as well. Okay, I will start by saying that traditionally I hate restaurant reviews or others that are written by people who have not actually eaten in the restaurant or used the service. So with that as a disclaimer, I will enter this review of Clearity Windows, although I have not used their service. I had heard great things about them from my neighbors, (apparently very rich neighbors)who were impressed that they wear booties on their shoes and hose down all of the window screens. What I wasn't ready for was the price. I called Clearity for an estimate for 30 windows on the first two floors of our home and several doors. (FYI, all of my windows are new and pop out for easy cleaning.) The person who arrived was driving a car with the name of Prime Windows Cleaning (from whom I intended to also get an estimate), and I learned they had bought Clearity, so they were now one business. The estimate, which I received the next day was for $1328, including $1160 for the windows/doors, $60 for the screens, plus tax. For me this was way more than I was hoping to spend. And while the cleaner I eventually used (Ace Windows) did not wear booties, or take out and hose down the screens (but did clean them in place), they charged only $400 and still produced windows that were clean enough for us. So my rating is solely based on the high cost of doing business with Clearity and not the quality of the work they do, which I hear is Marvelous! read more

The gentlemen who came to do the work were professional enough and I have no complaints about their work. I was slightly annoyed that I was told that since I only had one glass door and 2 large windows it would be $100 instead of $20 dollars per window because it was such small job. The scheduler suggested that if I had neighbors who wanted their windows cleaned as well it would be the quoted $20 per window. While I appreciate that she was trying to help me out it kind of felt like a scam for me to get them more business (I don't actually believe that but it is how I felt). read more

I have used Clearity Window Cleaning twice already. Once in 2016 and again a couple of weeks ago. They do a terrific job. Usually they send two people, who put on protection on their feet to cover their shoes, and they work fast and carefully. The person that does the scheduling is competent and efficient. I can absolutely recommend them. read more
