For all those people who think mechanics make stuff up to get paid they could have done hours of exploratory work and charged me an arm and a leg for it. But they didnt. Needless to say the dealership wanted $7000 to fix so I ended up getting a new car. And so now Im back using Woodies! I scheduled an apt online which is more of a request. When I looked at it myself I noticed that the tech had snapped the plastic off the box. I took the car back and pointed this out and after the manager called the tech to look at it the tech had the audacity to claim that "it was broken before it came in" I know this was not the case because I worked on the car the day of, and would have 100% noticed. Not only that, but you could see the bright white shiny filter through the crack he had just made. So the tech blatantly lied about that, and also lied about having checked the cabin air filter, because I had just replaced it a couple weeks prior and know that in no way did he take the time to check and just marked it as "urgent!" The shop did agree to replace the box, but being cheap did not do so with a new OEM Toyota part but instead bought a used and had the same tech install it and he broke this part too. Then tried to blame Toyota for making a cheap part. I know how this business goes, and know that these guys pray on customers who don't know anything about their car. If I had not called them out, my girlfriend would never have known that they broke her car (they also tried coming up with some bs about this not affecting anything). The mechanic said, I needed to replace the engine in my Audi Q5. I could not believe what was coming out of his mouth. I'm not a mechanic but a single cylinder not getting minimum compression doesn't sound like a total engine loss and this from an ASE certified mechanic. I was happy I get a referral here and a second opinion that was accurate. It turns out it was a bad fuel injector. Yes, better than replacing an entire engine. They have great mechanics here who are ASE & Audi certified. They have personable and professional Staff in Jennifer, JD & John.
