I came in for a simple oil change and walked out feeling completely taken advantage of. They handed me a ridiculous laundry list of "critical" repairs, including a wheel bearing replacement they tried to charge me $800 in labor alone. Absolutely outrageous. I took my car to a trusted mechanic in Belmont who actually knows what they're doing they quoted me $200-$400 MAX for the exact same job. That tells you everything you need to know. This is not the first time this place has tried to pull something like this on me. The pricing feels dishonest, the service is terrible, and the workmanship is questionable at best. I have zero trust in this shop. Save yourself the headache, the stress, and the money. STAY FAR AWAY from this place. read more

Being the silly person that I am, I moved from my home state of North Carolina down to Georgia and took my car with me. I kept the NC license plate on the car, which meant I could continue to represent my home state with pride, but it also meant I would have to come up once every year for an NC State Inspection. This Firestone is the most reliable auto shop that does a state inspection, and is also the closest to the state border. This Firestone has always done my state inspection quickly and effectively, thus not adding anymore hassle to an already 7 hour round trip. I've gotten my car inspected here 3 times, with no problems on any occasion. The service here is solid, everyone that I talk to is very pleasant and easy to work with. The lobby is nice and spacious. This Firestone's location is pretty good as well, right off the highway and near a mall and some other restaurants so that you have places to explore while you wait. No complaints from me! read more

I had an appointment at 10am for an alignment. I was told that Firestone tried to reach out to me. Completely never happened! They tried to tell me they weren't going to be able to get me in until 30-45 min after my appointment time. The waiting area is very small and super old furniture! Doesn't look like they have cleaned the front room in a week. The bathrooms are broken. Parking lot looks like it's never been cleaned. I've seen better waiting areas at small town tire shops. Honestly I would never come here again. Looks like Firestone is going down the drain. At least at this location. I bought a lifetime alignment. They advertise for $209.99 but then up charge you for supplies once you get there for $16.80. Never was that disclosed anywhere. I will be reaching out to Firestone for further comments and complaints. read more

Manager David Gilliam is THE WORST manager. He makes promises he cannot keep, which in return causes irate customer to take it out on the employees. It has also been confirmed steals sales from the employees he manages which affects their performance and bonuses. These employees have contacted HR to no avail and I feel this wrong and warrants a lawsuit. If I could give no stars I would. read more

This has been the absolute WORSE experience I've ever had with a so-called "auto care" place. I put my car in the shop with the promise that they could change the transmission gasket, I even received an estimate for that repair. I made sure and asked on several occasions that they will Not continue with any repairs (brakes) if they couldn't change the gasket. Long story short, they repaired the brakes, but said "they didn't do transmission work". My question is-why was I not notified of this until I made a follow-up call. Their attitude, unprofessionalism, and lack of attention to detail is truly unacceptable!! I made a phone complaint, and after a week, no response. The last two experiences here have been horrible. 1. Had a nail in my tire and had it patched. Came home and the tire pressure on the patched tire was 10+ psi more than it was rated. Paperwork showed all 4 tires psi were checked and 37, none were 37 psi. 2. Came in for an oil change and had a headlamp out. Girl at the desk told me that it would cost $200 to replace as they "had to take the front assembly apart to change it." $50 for two lamps at Pepboys and I replaced myself...... without taking the front end apart. read more

They told me I needed calipers and breaks.... never mentioned rotors. I said replace the breaks but I didn't have the money to do the calipers at this time. They said well you need rotors too. I told them to replace the pads and I could come back later for the rest. They told me they could help me. I went to another shop and was told you just need back brakes and we would suggest rotors but we could rotate them, your calipers are fine. Firestone lied and refused service because they couldn't turn a $150 bill into $1,000... use at your own risk. read more

I took my car in for a simple alignment and tire rotation and came away with the mechanics telling me that about $2200 worth of repairs were needed. They told me that my car would last 6 months max without these repairs. Shocked by this news, I took my car to my regular mechanic for a second opinion and showed him the estimate that Firestone printed out for me. After doing his own inspection, he told me that every single thing on that estimate was complete bunk. All my car needed was a new oil pan gasket. And that was even listed on Firestone's report! The only good thing that came out of my visit was a good deal on 3 new tires. But I will never return to Firestone again. Fear mongering is not something to be valued in a business. Took my car in for an alignment it wasn't right so I took it back and came home i still thought it wasn't right so I had appointment at my mechanic for brake work and he drove it and said that it was still pulling to the right after 2 trips to gastonia and 91.00 price tag my car still isn't right. I had told them the steering wheel wasn't straight on the second time and it is still not straight either. I always heard firestone was good but my experience with them they are not. Arrived at 8:20 didn't have my tire said 20 min away. Never said anything else to us. 11:20 we asked and they said "she was caught in traffic in Charlotte. The place is very dirty and the coffee station looks like it hasn't been clean in 6 months. Horrible place of business wouldn't even give a military discount. NEVER again will they get my money. Only stayed because we were traveling from GA to NC and we hit a bad pothole and needed a tire. Finally finished at 2:15. Wasted day away from my Godparents. read more

Misquoted! My wife's van had the fuel pump go out. Had it towed from York SC because I thought this Firestone was better than the others. I was quoted $810 out the door to have it replaced and an oil change. Just got a call saying it's ready and the total due is $890. I asked why it was $80 more and could not be told why other than he (the manager, Jim) wasn't there. Further, the average price for a fuel pump replacement for the same year make and model is $474 -553. The oil change was $33. I have been overcharged $383!!! I will never be back and suggest the same to you! Firestone has become a horrible excuse of a repair shop. read more

Use to be great store, they keep getting new people all the time and this time they have the bottom of the barrel, esp the manager. Would NOT recommend them at this time for anything. You arrive and end up spending hours waiting, even if you had an appointment. Interior is not that clean, walls dirty and the bathroom is well.....we wont got into that. read more

I was a loyal Firestone customer. My husband and I would drive 30 minutes just to go to this location and have bought several sets of tires from them, and had 90% of our oil changes done here. My last visit was for a tire replacement and an oil change. After leaving the store, my car was making a funny sound so when I get home, I look under the car and notice the undercarriage shield hanging down and cracked from dragging on the road. I take my car back the next morning and after 2 hours of waiting, they tell me it's not their fault. They said that peice isn't removed during an oil change, and why would the technician "do more work than he had to." I was then given a quote of $100 (that's with a discount) to get it replaced. They couldn't take any blame for it and just told me that it was just bad timing on that piece falling after I left their store. The manager never even came out and spoke to me, and no one even attempted to speak with the technician who did it to see if he might have made a mistake. I then had to wait another hour for the to just pin the damaged shield back, because I refused to pay for a new one. Then after 3 hours of waiting with a fussy 16 month old, I had to pay $24 for the pins to hold the shield up. I have never felt so mistreated, and I will never recommend this place to anyone again. read more
