My granddaughter was in the hospital and craving a smoothie so I went here to get one on the way to visit her. She told me they closed at 5 so I hurried over. It was 430 when I arrived. I thought they were already closed as someone was mopping the floors and the chairs were all put up but I went to the door and it was open. I went in and tried to go around the wet area but the girl said " No worries"! I went to the counter to order and since I knew what my granddaughter wanted didn't need a menu although I didn't see one anyways. After ordering hers I asked if they had any Keto friendly drinks as I'm currently doing Keto. The girl who was mopping said all their drinks used fresh fruit and pressed apples for juice so yes they were keto. I said no, sugar is carbs which means they are not keto friendly. I said another store with smoothies had specific drinks that were keto friendly and thought I'd ask. (Jus, please train staff so misinformation isn't given out.) The large Pineapple smoothie came to just under $9 with nothing added. Since there was no menu I was a little shocked at the price but I don't usually buy smoothies so maybe that's the going rate. Woke up Saturday morning and was craving an Acai bowl - looked on yelp and found this place nearby! I ordered online and went to pick up - nice and easy! Jüs is a reno staple. You'll get the best deal here if you're a member. The membership is totally worth it if you're using their locations weekly. I typically come here to get their bowls, although they're well known of for having bottled juices and shots of ginger and such. All of the locations have a good staff and are typically very simple and clean. The bowls just hit different at the south reno location. My family came in from out of town to get an açaí bowl. I was telling my daughter she had to try, as it was the best I have had. We paid over $45 for 2 small smoothies and 2 small açaí bowls. After the ladies started putting together the bowls they said "we have about enough granola for 1 bowl." I told her that was a bummer but asked her to split it between the two bowls. She said "Sorry. If I would've known about it, I would have given you a discount." They finished making our bowls and handed them to us. We walked out and I noticed mine was missing the bananas. I went back in and mentioned it. She said "oh yea. We are out of bananas too. Sorry." That makes about half of the bowl missing. And all that was given was a "sorry". Ditch the processed sugar and bask in naturally sweet flavors here because jüs offers raw, plant-based food that is nutritious, healthy and delicious.  I suggest you make several trips to jüs, start at the top of their menu, and work your way all the way through the selections as each will please and satisfy you. jüs has had some cleanliness and customer service deficiencies which I notice they are still making an effort to correct and have indeed made some progress in improving those areas of the cleanliness of the furnishings and bathroom, although it is still not a consistent improvement.  I still look for staff who is handling food, who interrupt them self to help the customer, their handling payment, then washes their hands before going back to continue their food handling.  Their customer service is still inconsistent; sometimes adequate and sometimes just not-so-adequate. I would have rated them higher if they had a Military and Veterans Discount. read more

This is a great place if you are following a strict juice diet. It is a little pricey if your doing it on your own dime vs juicing at home. I thought the flavors for the juices I got were good though. I've had this on my radar for a bit of time now. At long last, today was the day. After work I wanted something light and refreshing. It was such a busy day I couldn't get away to eat lunch. After not eating I didn't want to hit my stomach with too much. This spot immediately jumped into my mind. I was greeted immediately by two friendly faces when I walked in. I looked over the menu and knew I wanted an Acai bowl. I was torn between berry and blueberry. Before tackling a beverage selection I asked for help deciding between bowls. The employee helping me took a moment to explain the difference between the favor profiles. He suggested berry if I wanted tart and blueberry if I wanted sweet. Tart sounded perfect so I jumped on the Berry Acai Bowl. Now for a beverage. Nothing jumped out immediately. I wasn't seeking energy or focus or anything specific that would make a choice from the menu easy. I explained I wanted something light and refreshing for overall flavor and clean juicing. A strawberry lemonade with apple was suggested and sounded great. The beverage was ready quickly and upon first sip I knew his suggestion was perfect. There was ice but only enough to chill the juice. It was perfect. The apple lent a sweetness and the lemonade added the bite. I love tart beverages so this was perfect. I took the bowl to go. I ate it less than 20 minutes later. I popped it in the fridge for a few minutes when I got home so it remained the same chilly temp it was in the store upon delivery. The first bite was sweet and tart and gooey deliciousness all in one fell swoop. The granola added a great gooey texture in the midst of the the smooth acai flavor. The scattered bites of blackberries and bananas were a great treat. I demolished the bowl in what felt like mere seconds. It was filling and refreshing at the same time. During the summer I often don't feel super hungry due to the hot temperatures. I will need to remember this for both the beverages and the bowls when I want a treat that is filling but not too heavy. I cancelled my membership today. We can just make their bowls at home since we have a Vitamix. We don't come here that often either but have kept the membership because we want to support local businesses. Most of the time they get my order right. Last weekend was the first time I actually placed a complain regarding an order. We always get granola on the side because there have been times we received soggy granola even despite picking up our order right away and start consuming it at a nearby park. Our last order (2 bowls) had no granola at all. I called to they them know and asked if they deliver. Morgan said no but "don't worry, you were not charged for the granola," and had nothing else to say. This made me feel she was trying to minimize the mistake. Couldn't offer compensation for next time until I asked. Zero awareness of customer recovery or recognition of mishap. I asked if a leader or owner could call me to discuss this. She said yes. I had to ask who would be calling? After long pause, she said "Adam." It's been a week (or 5 business days) and zero phone call. Time to part ways. I don't need all that sugar anyway. read more

I've came here twice already, mainly for their acai bowls (need me some brain food). The staff is super friendly and the vibe here is really chill (side note: whoever decides and picks the music playlist here is pure AWESOMENESS! great taste in music). I've gotten the kiwi and blueberry bowls. The kiwi bowl does have more of a variety of fruits in it, but the acai base itself does have more a tang to it compared to the blueberry one. So I prefer the blueberry bowl, only because I feel the flavors complement each other nicely. I have seen and heard other customers custom make their bowls, so no big deal if you want a little bit of this, or less of that. Fresh, refreshing, not overly sweet, and doesn't burn my pocket. This was my first time at a jus and didn't know there was a membership option or that their prices would be so drastically different. I got a small açaí blue avocado bowl during lunchtime with my friend. Only one person was in line before us and it took them after 15/20 min to bring out my food which I felt was a long time considering they just had to blend it. It's was fine. I thought the consistency would be better but it was pretty running and more a smoothie and just tasted like blueberries. The toppings were also bland with granola and bananas. I've never really given this business a second thought because I've always just assumed that they just did cold-pressed juices. But I was in the neighborhood and had some time to kill, so I decided to come in for a juice. Much to my surprise, they also had delicious sounding smoothies and açaí bowls on the menu! I ordered the blue avocado smoothies without banana and substitute coconut yogurt for regular. And it was honestly the best smoothie I've ever had. It wasn't too sweet, deliciously creamy, and a hint of conversation it from the yogurt. The 12oz portion was absolutely perfect and I felt full and satisfied and ready for the day afterwards. I loved how easy it was to make substitutions to account for my allergies and there were so many other beneficial additional options on the menu. I've been wanting to try Açaí bowls for a long time, so I was very happy to find this place. My first Açaí experience was definitely a memorable one. I ordered the PINEAPPLE BOWL, and it had the perfect amount of sweetness and all the ingredients were of the freshest qualities. I also love how they use organic ingredients. My friend had the AVOCADO BOWL, and it was just as good as mine. The spinach and avocado went surprisingly well with the sweetness of the honey and fruit. Don't be afraid of their green bowls, they're delicious and nutritious! We ordered regular sizes, and the portion was very generous; the large size would've been WAY too much. Great menu, lots of flavor options. I especially love the flavored wheat grass shots. The employees are friendly and knowledgable. My husband mentioned that he was feeling a cold coming on, and asked for a recommendation. The clerk rattled off a couple of options including their vitamin content, and helped my husband pick a good cold-fighter. The prep area is all open, and you can see that only fresh ingredients are used, and the prep area is impeccably clean. They use an iPad for payment, so no receipts wasting paper. I wish more restaurants would use technology in this way. Suggestion for improvement - the appearance of the store, while clean and bright, looks a little disorganized and unprofessional. They have random baskets with random food items that don't really match their healthy/juicy persona. For example, Nature Valley Granola bars - how about locally made Nature's Bakery Fig Bars or another healthier option? Also, they have hand-written signs (marker on printer paper) for their merchandise taped to the shelf holding the merchandise along with a few ratty old magazines. Coming from a retail merchandising background, I'm probably more sensitive to things like that than most, so that's why I didn't take a star away, but the nice little store seems to be begging for a bit of organization and spring cleaning! read more

Cool vibe, great service, consistent smoothies and drinks -- I've got nothing but great things to say about this place. Whether you are at the Midtown location or South Reno, drinks are always consistent. Different staff ends up creating your drinks depending on day, time, etc. But one thing is for sure -- your drink will taste the same from the very first time you ordered them; as it should be. My favorite drink is the Green Tea Smoothie [Green Tea, Strawberry, Banana, Organic Yogurt and Fresh Apple Juice]. I also enjoy the Berry Boost Smoothie. I know they are quite popular from their cleanse juices. I have never tried this before but heard some great things about it. So, if you are into the juice cleanse, try them out. They use fresh ingredients and you can see how they prepare each drink. Another menu item I LOVE are the Acai Bowls. They have 6 different varieties to choose from. I have only tried the Strawberry Bowl but am def planning to try them all. I crave something sweet for breakfast sometimes and these are the perfect go-to breakfast treat for me. It's healthy and you get your daily serving of fruits out of the way first thing in the morning, so why the heck not. I am surprised that I haven't written a review for jus yet, for as many times as I have gone there. I went this weekend for their special $1 wellness shots and a smoothie. I have to admit that I didn't LOVE jus at first because I didn't LOVE all the options on the menu. I either didn't like the yogurt or banana, or I felt like it was missing an ingredient. When I realized that they had coconut yogurt versus traditional yogurt, and that I could customize whatever I wanted, it was a game changer. And let me clarify that is was my fault for not realizing this, of course you can customize, I was just never offered this an option. My bad. The employees at the South Reno location are so friendly. There is a younger guy that is always polite, friendly, and super helpful. On this occasion, I purchased the all ginger shot (I've been suffering with some flu like symptoms) and a pineapple smoothie with extra ginger and no yogurt. My smoothie was delicious and only $4 this weekend. You can't beat that! If you sign up with your birthday then you get a free birthday drink. Jus will continue to be my go to spot when I need a good healthy tasty drink. I especially like the South Reno location, but Midtown has the same great drinks. read more

I sat and waited and until I watched them put my fruit bowl on the counter and walked away from it-- I had to go up and ask if it was mine. It tasted pretty good, but there were some blueberries that were so dried out, I thought that they had put rocks in my food. In fact, it actually chipped my tooth. So far, I've found three of those. Disappointed. Was visiting from California and was looking for a Nekter juice bar. Reno doesn't have one so I went to Jus. I tried their charcoal activated lemonade and was really disappointed. Too much charcoal and very little lemon taste; unlike the one at Nekter which is tart, bright and just makes you feel like you've had something good for your body. We ordered three smoothies, which were fair and nothing special. I guess Nekter has me spoiled, but I suppose if you don't know the difference, you'd think Jus is just fine! When you go to Jus you get a healthy beverage chock full of great ingredients. If I'm feeling a little run down I head there and get something green or orange to make myself feel better. I usually tell them the vitamin I am looking for and go with their suggestion. Thus far I have been pleased. Except for that one time I grabbed an already made stamina without consulting the staff. You NEED stamina to make it through that drink. I'm sure it's loved by many - just not by me. Overall I find the service to be hit or miss, sometimes they are friendly, sometimes I feel like I am bothering them. The former happens more in Midtown and the latter in Southtown. Jus. Juice? Juicy? I`m kind of a Starbucks addict, so I noticed this place next to Starbucks over the span of my stay in South Reno but I never dared enter. Why? Well, first of all, I didn`t know WTF this place even was and then when I did find out what it was, I was slightly intimidated. I am not cool and this seems like a cool place, where cool people go, to indulge in cool tasty, healthy treats. Good thing I`m basically the office garbage disposal because I would have never found out how amazing this place is if I hadn't been. My co-worker asked me if I wanted to try something delicious(umm yes!), which happened to be one of their acai bowls and I was instantly hooked. "What is this?", to which she replied "I don`t know". "Okay, well, where did you get it?", to which she replied "I`m not sure, someone brought it for me". Well, what do you know? Do you know who gave it to you? Find out.....and ......she did, and the rest of history. Sort of. I braved my fear of being the non-cool girl in the juice shop because I REALLY wanted one of those damn acai bowls so I decided I was getting one THAT day, for lunch, and it was going to be awesome. So, I took myself to Jus and was greeted by two friendly ladies and I was like "Ummm I want an acai bowl"(I even think I pronounced it right) and then she pointed me to the choices. Oh gawd! The choices. Why are there choices? Okay. So I picked the banana acai bowl and then I paid for it with my life savings(because when you're poor, $9 for a bowl of fruit and yogurt and granola seems like your life savings). So, they finished my bowl and put a lid on it(if you like it then you better put a lid on it! Because that shizz will go all over your car. They pack it to the brim!). Jus is great. The drinks are really healthy and they have an interesting selection of choices - some are standard and then seasonal. It's amazing what they can do to kale! They're not typically as 'desserty' as Jamba or Keva but I don't think they have anything frozen either. It's a great healthy treat - I love taking my 14 year old there and showing her how good different vegetables can be when done right. When I'm really feeling like I've overdone it (holidays!) or just want to get my head back into eating better, I've done their 3 day cleanse. It's pretty easy and good tasting. Visited Jus the other day for my first time. I was greeted upon walking in by a friendly female employee who resigned to giving me a few minutes to look at the menu. I decided on a strawberry/banana smoothie with almond butter. It was a bit pricy, I believe about 7+ dollars for a medium, but from what I've seen that's pretty typical at smoothie and coffee places. The smoothie itself was made quickly and was delicious! The texture was perfectly smooth and there was just enough almond butter to taste while not overwhelming the other flavors. For my first foray into true hippie-dom, a friend and I checked out a juice bar on our way home from shoe and makeup shopping at Summit. She's on this crazy diet program thing and a veggie based juice is really the best snack for her at the moment, and I'm always down to try new places. Apparently this is Reno's only "raw, gluten free, vegan, all natural" restaurant--though I would argue restaurant is a bit of a stretch if you're like me and this is not a natural habitat of yours. First of all, it's not the *easiest* place in the world to locate because it's in a shopping center and you generally turn in before you would see the sign. Starbucks and Genghis have signs on the other side of the building which are really helpful, maybe Jus could consider adding one in the future. But, assuming you find it, you're going to get a really delicious juice/smoothie/acai bowl. Their fruits and veggies are fresh and flavorful, and the combinations they are doing really hit the spot after you've made soap and done some hot yoga. However, this is not a budget juice (though I imagine no one expects it to be). My medium-sized smoothie was $6, though I did feel much healthier afterwards. Not any less hungry, but healthier! You can also set up a juice cleanse with them if you're interested, and my companion said their price was reasonable. I'm not sure I'm going to be a juicer or a vegan or anything like that any time soon, but it was delicious and nutritious and definitely worth going to if you're in the mood. read more

The juices are freshly made in front of you and you can preorder cleanses ahed of time if you are in the cleansing mode. Prices are very fair for fresh juices, this is probably why some of their green juices tastes sweeter than it should. Thank God for fresh squeezed juice. It's actually really nice to have a full-blown juice bar just down the street from me, I can stop by after the gym and pick up something healthy instead of taking a turn at Starbucks. I usually get the bottled juices to go, but I've seen people get bowls and smoothies and they look pretty good. Yes, this place is expensive. But, you kind of know what you're getting into. If you want cheap juice, buy it by the carton at the supermarket, it's always going to be more expensive to go to a stand alone juice bar. This place blows Jamba Juice away by miles in terms of freshness and quality, and that place isn't cheap either. The people who work here are super friendly and helpful, I see the same rotating cast of employees bounce between the Midtown location and here, and they've always been really nice and quick to answer any questions I have. There's a decent sized seating area in this Damonte Ranch location (teeny but serviceable in Midtown) and the place is always well-kept. Juices are clean, fresh, and satisfying. Staff is great. Location is easy to get to and has a nice vibe. Definitely recommended. read more
