Let me start with I needed someone to come and fix the ignition switch in my 2004 Honda Pilot the key would not turn, and I had no way to get the vehicle home. I called IVS and they dispatched a truck to my location. It took over an hour and a half to get there then the tech took over 2 hours to patch it enough to get it to the house. This was on a Saturday at 5:00 pm. The tech said that I needed a new part for the lock assembly, and they could come back out Monday and get it fixed for me. I called 404-662-2433 their office number and spoke to someone there and he said they would have to order the part and would get a tech out to my house with the new part as soon as possible. I made it clear that he needed to get the right part, he said he would. The tech showed up at 5:00 pm took the Ignition cylinder into his van and then called me outside and said the part would not fit, it was the wrong part. Then he said it would be a couple of days to get the new part. I told him forget it. You have cost me $220.00 already and the car is still unusable. This is one of the worst Locksmith companies I have ever delt with. Whatever you do, do not call the number above, because you will pay for a non-completed job from this company. I dropped the key to my Mercedes in the rain and couldn't find it for 20 minutes. I literally cried the whole time. I called the Mercedes Dealership, they told me I would have to bring the car in, bring proof of ownership (Title), photo and registration, and it would take 2-3 days for the key order. The problem is when the key doesn't work, the car will not crank, and I would have to tow the car to the Dealership. Unbelievable!!! I called IVS Security and Benny came out to my house, programmed and made the replacement key for me right there on the spot, only took about 30 minutes. Shockingly, the total price was $200 less than the Mercedes Dealership. I was so happy, I splurged and had 2 keys made. Very unprofessional. First it took hours for the first guy to show up after he said 30 minutes. He takes apart a door panel to make a new key, but the key doesn't work. So somebody else had to come buy the next day to make a key that works. He still charged me full price despite the inconvenience. and the lock they took apart hasn't worked quite right since, I think they messed up a spring or something. read more

We accidentally locked a door in our office and called IVS. They sent a young guy who did not know what he was doing. We needed to get into that office, have 2 keys keyed and a duplicate key made for another door. After an hour they opened the door but informed us they would have to take the lock out of the door and back to their offices and would be back in an hour. they also took the key that we needed a duplicate for. After 4 hours he arrived back with the duplicate key and said they were still trying to get the keys made for the other door. they finally came back after 3 more hours (7:00 pm) with the lock and key. We were charged a total of $155 for 1 duplicate key and to have 2 keys made for the door. How outrageous!!! They obviously do not know what they are doing. We were charged $25 for 2 duplicate keys and $130 for the 2 keys they had to key for the door. It took all day but this was their problem. Do not go here...I have warned you!!!! read more

Don't waste your time with these folks as they can not and did not make the keys like they said they could.

I am afraid I didn't receive the good service some of you had with IVS Security. I had to call them out last Oct to service a transponder key that came with my 2012 Fusion. It was a cold and wet night and the technician was rather young it seems from the length of time it was taking and then not having the right equipment or key. He apologized and said another tech would be out the next day to complete the job. The rep showed up and knew his business very well. After he was done he presented me with a bill for $300. Things went well for about 4 months. The casing on that key fell apart. I Then discovered my receipt had no name, phone number or any way to contact the company. I decided to put the parts back together and tape the two halves together. This worked for about 2 months or so and I was desperate trying to find out who the company was I was dealing with. I had the amount charged on my receipt so I started going through my bank statements looking for that amount and bingo there it was. But under a different name than I initially contacted. I called , asked about the warranty and was told yes it was under warranty. That was a week ago. The tech said he had to order parts after he saw pictures of my keys . A different tech called today and said he was on the way to my house. He started working promptly but after a minutes informed me this wasn't covered due to the fact I had not called them right away when it first fell apart. I was stunned to say the least. I told him I had taped it together which was working ok until just recently, that's when I contacted them. I tried calling the office number, but only got a message the mail box wasn't setup yet. I tried two more times before giving up and deciding to post HERE. IVS' contends I waited too long to bring this to their attention and that was the end of it.
