Here are some of the top reasons why I loved working with Rhylae and the Ivory and Stone team so much (though I have dozens more!): (1) Kind and Empathetic: This not only made the planning process joyful, it also made a big difference in our guest experience on the day. Our guests could not stop complimenting how thoughtful each element of our wedding was, many of which came from Rhylae. Where do I even begin with Ivory & Stone?! Let's just say without them, there probably would've been no wedding. I had the pleasure of working with Robyn Fallon. The other girls were always available, but boy did I get lucky with her! She felt like a best friend during those six months, but was so professional at the same time. She knew every single detail that needed to be dealt with, at a moments notice (things I would've never thought of). We had many video calls, but I began looking forward to them. She never complained or made me feel crazy for changing my mind 64828 times. I trusted her with my life at that point. She knew I didn't like something before I even knew I didn't like it. I gave her the reigns, and she NAILED everything. The design, the vendor coordination, the scheduling, etc etc etc. They also use this platform that allows you to track everything, and it has every information a wedding could need. It made vendor shopping, budgeting, and communication so easy. I was never worried I was forgetting something. Some of my planning I was doing overseas, which did not make anything harder due to how accommodating she was. Keep in mind she's also planning 47382 other weddings at the same time, but I felt like the only one. Fast forward to the big day... it went perfect. I could cry thinking about it. She was checking in on us throughout the entire day / night making sure we had food, drinks, and reminding us to enjoy each moment. She recommended venues and toured them with us, and even convinced us to tour the spot that we eventually booked as our venue after we initially vetoed it! She knew it was perfect for us before we did! Robyn has assembled an awesome team! Everyone we worked with was organized, professional, and easy to spend time with. Robyn "buttoned up" all the details for us. She recommended fantastic vendors, organized interviews with them, reviewed the contracts, made recommendations, and helped us finalize everything leading up to the big day. Robyn was amazing at negotiating with vendors and was almost always able to get us a discount or some complimentary add-ons, as if her work wasn't already work every penny. When inevitable and unwanted surprises came around, Robyn immediately took care of things on our behalf and always came with a solution already in place, so things were as stress-free as possible. For example, when our rental company told Robyn, two days before the wedding, that they didn't have enough of the silverware and glasses that we had ordered months before, Robyn worked with them to get a great replacement and a refund for their mess up before she even called us to tell us there was an issue. When it was forecast for rain on our wedding day, Robyn worked with our venue to develop an incredible alternative and made the decision for us to move the ceremony inside, which meant that we didn't have to stress about making the call ourselves in the madness of getting ready for our wedding. I have a difficult time using the word "perfect" to describe something but our experience with Robyn and the way our wedding turned out, I can't think of any other word to describe it. My husband and I are still in awe of how BEYOND PERFECT our wedding day was because of Robyn and Sara! We began working with Ivory + Stone Event Co. after our engagement in 2018 up until our wedding in October 2021 due to COVID. Hiring them was the single best decision we made for our wedding. I started my wedding planning journey with the presumption that I would be able to plan it myself, and quickly came to the realization that I was out of my league and needed a professional to rely on. My husband and I consulted a wedding DJ friend of ours who has worked numerous planners in San Diego, and he cited Robyn and Sara as "the only planners he'd hire if he were to get married". We clicked with Robyn and Sara the moment we met them and instantly knew that we were in good hands. Not only do they bring a high caliber of professionalism and knowledge, but they are so down to earth and we felt like we were planning our wedding with friends (really, really organized friends). They have a vast amount of experience working with different vendors and were able to craft a personalized list within our budget for us to select from. It's pretty incredible how they managed to morph the daunting task of planning a wedding into an enjoyable process! Robyn and Sara truly went above and beyond for us and I cannot sing their praises enough. They folded napkins the night before our wedding, picked up our silverware so that we could avoid fees, HAND-TIED 100 loaves of bread with paper and twine, and countless other gestures to make sure that my husband and I had our dream wedding. If you're looking for an event coordinator, look no further. This will be long review, so if you don't want to read on, just trust me, and go with her. If you dare continue...I'll try to just hit the high points. :) I found Robyn after scrolling through social media and seeing a bunch of weddings that she had spearheaded. I stalked her insta, her website, her reviews, and was super impressed. After a chat on the phone, I felt like she understood at least the basics of what I wanted out of our wedding, and decided to take a chance. Our first meeting was at our first catering tasting, and I got to watch the magic, which is Robyn enfold. Things that I would have been too afraid to ask for, she just did it. She was the shark (albeit a very friendly one) that I couldn't be in that situation. She also helped us make adjustments that I wouldn't have even known were an option, for instance: "Can you make the meat less smokey? Can you switch out micro greens for avocado? Can you make sure all the tortillas look the same?" Apparently they can, and literally, people haven't stopped raving about the food at the wedding. After that meeting, we booked her for partial planning (about a year out from our wedding), so we met periodically throughout the year to discuss goals/priorities and for her to keep me on track. That's one of the most awesome parts...you literally have her brain to pick from the moment you book her for either full or partial planning. On top of all the phone calls/texts/emails, and our meetings, she went to catering meetings and any vendor meetings I wanted her to be part of. She is super organized and detail oriented, so as the time got closer and I was starting to lose my mind (and wanted to just say screw it all), she was keeping me on track...even if that meant adding on extra meetings to get everything buttoned up. Her vendor relationships are phenomenal and having Robyn in our corner facilitated us getting awesome vendors for our wedding. She has lots of options within different budget ranges and narrowed them down for me based on what I was looking for. I literally loved my entire vendor team. The day of the wedding....she was AMAZING. My husband says she was the perfect mix of getting down to business while simultaneously keeping us laid back & relaxed. She ran a tight ship, and by doing so, helped us facilitate getting the things done that we wanted out of our big day. However, she also recognized the importance of us reveling in it, so she even made sure to remind us to be present, and take some time to just be in the moment...whether it was just the two of us hanging out while people were doing cocktails, making sure we were eating or had drinks, or sneaking us away for a gorgeous sunset and photos. She was exactly what I needed that day. While there apparently were a couple snafus the day before and the day of, I literally didn't even know about them because she handled them like a boss. Our families could not say enough good things about her as well. They were impressed by her poise and professionalism, and her ability to execute an essentially flawless event. Robyn has also hired wonderful women to be part of her team. Sarah and Alyssa are lovely. I can't speak to their planning or organization, but they were there the day before and the day of, making sure everything was going the way it was supposed to, and they were definitely an asset to my wedding. Most of all, I am so grateful to have had Robyn to help guide us through the planning process. Our wedding was a dream, and that was in a large part due to her.
