I wanted to change to an outdoor venue since it was more safe for our small 85 guests. But, they made it seem like they couldn't find outdoor winery in Valle de Guadalupe. Here I am contacting places 7 months before my wedding. Everywhere I called they're was availability. At first everything was going great and little things started to fall out of place. Keep in mind that all the planning started in December of 2019. I would say that you need to stay on top of everything! I mean everything! Keep asking questions or state your concerns. If you want a certain vendor at your wedding I would say contact them directly. Going thru Lorena Cardenas will cost you an arm and a leg. I had three different vendors and was less than half the price. Taco stand guy $240 for 100 people, Mariachi $600 for 3 hours and also a music group for $500 for the whole night. My biggest complaint was getting a call literally 4 weeks before my wedding that the church was missing a document. I sent all the documents that was required in July of 2020 and why are they telling me about this 4 weeks before my wedding? I was so stressed out!! Literally, had to call several churches in LA to get this paperwork expedited to Ensenada within a 2 weeks. Also, I had the DJ call me the night before my wedding asking me for the type of music I wanted him to play. Which was so weird because I wasn't even prepare for that phone call. I told him to play newer hip-hop and Spanish music and that didn't happened. When it was time to our bridal party to enter he didn't even announce their names. Other things happened during our wedding planning that aren't worth sharing that bother me. I would say STAY ON TOP OF THEM!! Ask questions and state your concerns. I really wasn't going to write a review but my bridesmaids, family members and even a few vendors…read moreurged me to do this due to the way I was feeling through this process. I chose Sara because I immediately loved her outgoing personality and felt we clicked. She was kind during our meetings, and I truly believe she wanted my wedding to be successful. Unfortunately, as planning progressed, I often felt like I was doing much of the coordination myself. Several details from our meetings were forgotten, vendors frequently contacted me directly with questions, and I ended up handling tasks that I had expected my coordinator to manage. The biggest example was collecting vendor insurance for the venue, which I had forwarded to Sara months in advance but ultimately had to gather myself just days before the wedding. On the wedding day, there were also several communication issues. Some décor wasn't set up as outlined in my planning documents, guests weren't directed to sign our guest book, and my bridesmaids often stepped in to help coordinate. I had nine bridesmaids ready to assist, but they shared that when they asked where things should go or how to complete certain tasks, they were often met with uncertainty or dismissive responses rather than direction. Several members of my bridal party and family also commented that Sara seemed overwhelmed or disengaged, which made it feel like my wedding wasn't a priority. This was the BIGGEST issue. Everyone makes mistakes but to treat others as if they are a bother and that you rather be somewhere else...that's not good at all. I also noticed my wedding wasn't showcased on her Instagram like others. No pictures taken like her other events she put on her social media. I'm assuming I wasn't someone who fit into her aesthetic. That said, I truly appreciate that Sara showed up and helped keep the day moving. Wedding coordination is a demanding job, and I wish her nothing but success as she continues to grow in her business. I also want to give a special thank you to her assistant, SARAH DOWLING. She was incredibly kind, personable, proactive, and always looking for ways to help. She went above and beyond for both my bridal party and my guests, and her support made a huge difference on our wedding day. She is the reason why I am giving this business 3 stars instead of 2. And the fact that regardless of her attitude, Sara W still showed up.
