We used The Point for my daughter's Sweet 16th and couldn't be happier. The venue was perfect for our 55 people guest list. There was plenty of room inside for seating without making the space too tight. The chandelier and fairy lights made the room so pretty at night. The fireworks from Sea World can be seen from The Point which made the night truly spectacular. The staff were friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. We had a couple of issues with uploading our daughter's pictures on the screen and they went in to help create the albums so I can easily add pictures to them. The Taco Bar they helped us catered was so delicious and all the food was devoured. Marni was on-site for our whole event and she was lovely. There was a minor issue with photos not streaming correctly and she fixed the issue right away. Overall we're sooooo glad to have chosen this venue and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful spot to host a party!

We had an amazing experience booking our Micro Wedding (Ceremony & Reception) Package with The Point from the very first e-mail all the way to the very last. When we were first looking for a micro wedding ceremony and reception package, we wanted to have everything as stress-free as possible since we would be planning our own wedding. Booking with The Point was the best decision. The ceremony and reception package has many things included including chairs and tables that we did not have to worry about. Every day leading up to our wedding was very smooth and our wedding day was so beautiful and stress-free due to The Point team being so on top of everything! We worked closely with Kate L. and she was absolutely amazing. She was very helpful in answering all questions we had regarding our ceremony and reception. We would send her multiple questions through e-mail and she would respond promptly. We did not know of any vendors in the area and she had GREAT recommendations for vendors such as day-of-coordinators, photographers, and etc. We looked through the generous list and found some amazing choices. See below for a list of our AMAZING wedding vendors: Day-of-coordinator & Florist: Mary Bowerman (Recommended by The Point) Food: Surf & Turf Taco Bar - Aldo's Tacos (Recommended by The Point) Open Bar: Keith Mooney at Fluid Bartenders (Recommended by The Point) Photographers: Leia & Michael at MadLoveMedia Dessert Table: SweetCheeks Baking Co. Also, one more thing to note that the ceremony and reception are in such a beautiful location. The ceremony was on the lawn right outside of the venue and the reception was inside. We loved how we could customize the many screens inside too with our photos and digital signs we made with Canva. Everything was absolutely perfect and we would highly recommend The Point to anyone and everyone thinking about having a wedding or part in the beautiful area of Mission Bay.

Perfect venue for a celebration! Super cute and perfect layout. I had about 80-90 guests and it was perfect. Staff was really nice and contracts are very easy to follow and sign all online. Everyone was amazed of the place and asked me how they can also rent for another occasion. They provide vendors or you can take your own. I am very very happy with the turnout and venue!

Such a beautiful venue to have a business meeting, or even a celebration. My wife and I had this place on our list to consider for our baby shower. We ended up choosing another venue but had the opportunity to visit when our friends held their baby shower here. Parking of course is difficult as it's in Mission Bay but once you get past that, you'll be surprised with the place. The natural lighting helps illuminate the main room. There are dividers and a patio area that are available for use. If it gets too hot during the summer, there is also AC available. Lots of room and endless possibilities. Just need to use your imagination to make this place yours at a reasonable price. I might consider using this venue for my Son's first birthday... we shall see.

    We had about 100 people!

We were very happy to celebrate my father's 90th Birthday party, right here in our home of Mission Beach, at the Point. Santa Clara point is a special place for us since my brother and I went to camp there as kids and learned to sail there. Casey got us in touch with the wonderful staff who helped us organize things like catering, drinks, A/V system for music and a slide show. A wonderful venue with beautiful sunsets!

My son giving his speech in front of an amazing well lighted window!

I had my son's Bar Mitzvah there. This place has great communication and made the process of coordinating with other venues very easy. The team was polite, responsive and helpful with ideas. The venue itself is very beautiful quaint and needs very very minimal decoration! The views once you're outside are awesome. We hired a company for games outside and the kids had a blast with a bay view! They had a blast!

Upon arrival, we were welcomed with little fidget toys as we got out of our car. When we went to our room, there was a little goodie bag for each of them with actual items that they used the entire trip! As we were about to leave, they both got a cute little squishmallow-like toy to hug on their car ride back home. Aside from the thoughtful touches for the kids, the staff was friendly and I appreciated the spacious room and cleanliness. It was a great location and we all really enjoyed our stay. It was a bit pricier, but worth it.

I was just trying to grab a single mixer, yet it took way longer than expected because there didn't seem to be any clear system for serving people. It also didn't help that most people were ordering canned cocktails--which should have kept things moving--but the line still felt disorganized. On top of that, people were cutting in line without any staff stepping in, which made the wait even more irritating. What really stood out was the lack of water availability upstairs. When I asked about it, the bartender gave a vague explanation about water not being allowed upstairs, which honestly didn't make much sense. I get that there may be policies, but offering bottled water for purchase seems like a simple fix--and that wasn't an option either. Overall, it's a decent spot if you're just looking to grab a drink and hang by the pool, and the vibe itself is nice. That said, I want to stay fair--this is just my experience, and I'm sharing it so others know what to expect. Since it's part of a hotel, it does feel like guests may be prioritized, so if you're not staying there, just be prepared for a potentially slower, less organized experience.

The fact that I never noticed this place kinda freaked me out really. Fast forward nearly 5 years.... I needed a space to host a Animal House Style Toga Party to celebrate my birthday. I didn't want to have the party at my house because neighbors, loud music and free flowing booze don't mix well together. While walking back home after having coffee with my husband and lamenting the cost of renting a space for my party, we passed the Masonic Lodge Hall and he said, 'why don't you have the party here'. HUH? Where? Here??? What IS this place? The Lodge looks kinda scary from the outside. Actually it looks sort of scary inside too, but it fit with the Toga theme of my party perfectly. It's just very dated inside with light blue paint, white columns on the walls and a hokey painted mural. Sold! The men at the Lodge were so kind to us, they gave us the hall early on the day of the party so we could decorate which really helped liven the place up a bit. All of my friends thought we were so clever to have found the Masonic Lodge and rented it for the party...most of them have lived in LJ for many many years and still never even knew it was there. The whole evening was a smashing success and the Hall rental only cost about $165 including use of the kitchen, tables & chairs. You can't be that with a Fez!
