5 stars is nowhere close enough to what Ann deserves!!! From the first moment I communicated with Ann I knew I was going to be in better than good hands for my dream wedding. Ann was always kind, personable, thoughtful of my opinions, and also transparent about suggestions that I wouldn't of even considered as a first time bride. Ann felt like a big sister walking me through such a big moment in our lives leading up to our wedding day. Her coordination with the venue and all vendors was incredible and helped me feel less pressure of getting every single thing done. Her ability to create such seamless timelines for rehearsal, to ceremony, to reception is chefs kiss! I can't forget about how my heel strap literally BROKE off and Ann came to the rescue with her mini sew kit, and I was able to dance the entire rest of the fight and my heel strap did NOT budge. Also, Ann absolutely nailed exactly how I envisioned the decorations set-up for ceremony and reception. She respected how much our cats mean to us and how we wanted them integrated in our wedding. I honestly could not imagine how our wedding experience could have gone without Ann. read more

5 starts isn't enough! Ann was amazing to work with. She was always so professional, responsive, organized, and willing to share her perspective on ideas to make our wedding day a dream. I'm a Projector Manager so I had high expectations of a coordinator's ability to plan and execute. Ann exceeded all expectations and went above and beyond! 10 out of 10 stars. Do not hesitate to book Ann as your planner or coordinator. read more

I truly wish I could give Ann 100 stars because she is really THAT amazing. From providing honest guidance, to being my emotional support and an endless well of knowledge and resources, Ann is truly the best of the best. If you're even considering a coordinator, let it be Ann!!!! read more

I don't even know where to begin to share how amazing and talented Ann Strobel is. Hard-working, detail-oriented, and genuine are just a few of the many many compliments we could share about Ann. My fiancé and I got engaged in April 2020 (a month into the pandemic!) and Ann was truly a blessing as she helped us navigate the challenges of planning a wedding during a pandemic. Her wedding experience is unmatched and she provided us with invaluable recommendations for planning a wedding with the many uncertainties of COVID-19. We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into with wedding planning, but Ann always found a solution to any issue or question that arose during our planning process. On top of all this, she provided excellent vendor recommendations. In fact, a majority of our wedding vendors were from her suggested vendor list. This immensely simplified the process of selecting wedding vendors, especially since I'm not from San Diego. Working with Ann feels like working with a friend you've known for years -- she is honest, a great listener, and shares invaluable input. Our wedding was finally able to take place on August 14, 2021 after having to postpone and it was well worth the wait! Ann, thank you for being such a crucial part of our wedding experience. Not only was our wedding day flawless because of you, but we will always remember how much you cared for us and helped us navigate the immense stress of planning a wedding during the pandemic. You are a true professional and a gem of friend. Thank you again for the amazing support and guidance you provided to Matt and me. read more

Ann Strobel was wonderful in coordinating my daughter's wedding in September of 2106! She went above and beyond to make sure it was a magical day for the bride and groom. Ann was both reassuring and energetic, and her eye for design made the venue (the La Jolla Woman's Club) even more lovely. During the day of the event, Ann made sure that the vendors were informed and that everything flowed smoothly - all I had to do was finally relax and let the day unfold. Ann was recommended to my wife and I through our friends who had so many wonderful things to say about the job she did at their wedding. We met up to go over what we wanted for our wedding and what she provides as the coordinator. After our meeting within a few minutes we knew Ann was who we wanted. As it got closer to our wedding date we met up again and went back over so many details. Ann was on top of everything. She had an answer to every question and so much experience with all kinds of wedding things that you might not think of when planning a wedding. When it came time for our rehearsal everything was in order and prepared. The day of the wedding was here and having Ann help with so many things took such a weight off my wife and myself. All the details we asked for we executed and our wedding was amazing. I honestly don't know what we would have done without her. Ann is the best!!! read more

I would recommend Ann without any reservations or hesitation! She is outstanding and goes above and beyond for every aspect of your wedding. First of all, she is a walking wedding bible! She is connected (and has worked closely) with some of the best vendors in San Diego. She kept me, and all my vendors, on track and in the know. Ann is loads of fun and easy to work with. She takes pride in each and every wedding she is working on. She is readily available to answer any question or new request you may have, any time, day or night. She is ready and willing to get her hands dirty and help with the little projects needed for the wedding! Personal anecdote: We had planned our ceremony to be outside on the terrace of the El Cortez. We told Ann we wanted it to be in the round, with my husband and I in the center of the circle. Ann drew up a schematic sketch and told us not to worry, she would take care of everything! Flash forward two days before the wedding: It was pouring rain and the forecast was going back and forth for our wedding day weather. Ann told me not to worry, she had a plan if we had to move the ceremony indoors. I was not pleased with the idea of an indoor wedding (after all that had not been my "vision" for our "dream" wedding) but knew it was smart to have a back up plan. The day of the wedding, the clouds were thick and it was not looking promising. Ann called me a few times just to check in and see how I was doing. She reassured me that everything was under control, but that the weather would force us to move the ceremony indoors. Again, I was bummed, but knew she knew best. When I walked down the aisle, into the Don Room of the El Cortez, I was blown away!!! Our indoor ceremony was beautiful and in the round with not one detail overlooked! Multiple guests commented that the indoor circular ceremony was incredible! I don't know what I would have done without Ann! She had the vision, expertise, and professionalism to make our indoor ceremony and reception far exceed our idea for our "dream" wedding! She truly is the best! read more

LOVE Ann!!! I met with several planners/coordinators and she was the only one who didn't make me have a panic attack, haha. She isn't over-the-top or high strung. She is warm, creative, helpful, flexible, kind, and all the things you want in a coordinator. Our officiant actually backed out within a month or so of the event and she recommended a guy who was WAY better anyway! (See Rev. Don Toshach) On the day of our wedding, I didn't even know the crap she was dealing with until later. But thank GOD she was there to fight for us and make sure everything was perfect and flawless for us. Ann is one major reason why our wedding seemed so smooth to the bride and groom, as well as to the other guests. She also worked with the DJ and officiant to surprise us with a special song played upon our "grand entrance" to the reception. It was meaningful and amazing and I am grateful for all of her help. I adore Ann! I highly recommend her to every bride! I hired Ann as my wedding planner and day of coordinator and it made my wedding day seamless! She was incredibly professional and clearly has YEARS of experience in the wedding coordination industry. Ann and I met several times leading up to my big day. She was also easily reachable by email, phone calls and texts to answer my 1,000,000 questions. I couldn't believe how hands on she was!!! She made herself available for meetings with my florist, the venue, and my caterer. She created a detailed plan for the layout of the venue and a timeline for the day. She designed and created all sorts of neat things for the event - escort cards, table numbers, guest book signs, etc. It felt so wonderful to have it out of my hands and to know she was going to take great care of me! She also gave me wonderful recommendations for other vendors - always providing me with 2-3 options so I was still able to compare and choose what suited me. (FYI: I went with The Groove DJ, Resolusean Photography, Embellishmint Floral, Sweet Cheeks Bakery, Crown Point Catering). I could go on-and-on about Ann and what she meant to my wedding but the longer reviews go the less people read them. Bottom line: I would recommend her to EVERY BRIDE! Give her a call and meet with her - you will not be disappointed! Thank you Ann and your entire team for creating the wedding of my dreams! For those interested.... Ann was so great!! Stayed on top of things from the consultation to the final day! She was willing to personally work with myself and my husband, as we shared the responsibility in planning (it can be A LOT! ) Ann took us to dinner to go over the timeline & details a few weeks prior to the wedding which put us to a great ease ! She was flexible and understanding along the way & it was so greatly appreciated! Everything was set up how we discussed on day of, because believe me the bride and groom won't have the time to worry about much but getting ready. You won't regret hiring Ann!! XOXO thank you, Ann!!! read more

Ann is the best ever. She was so incredibly easy to work with and always made me feel like everything was under control. I'm an annoying combination of planner and procrastinator and Ann handled me well - following up with me via email and text to make sure everything was getting done. She understood who I was and guided me toward other vendors who would would work well for me. We also had a ton of DIY projects and family members who wanted to "help" which I'm sure is a wedding planners worst nightmare, but Ann took it all in stride. Our wedding day was seamless thanks to Ann!!! read more

Ann was recommended to me by a friend who was married 2 years before. I had interviewed a few wedding planners, but I didn't feel the connection with any of them... until I met Ann! I wanted an intimate cocktail reception and in place with a lot of ambiance, and when I explained my ideas to Ann, I felt that she just "got it". She pointed me in the right direction of vendors who she thought I would like, as well as would fit my budget. And through my wedding planning process sometimes I had problems envisioning the details, but Ann knew what I wanted (and needed!), and in the end, it turned out better than I could have ever dreamed. My day was magical, and I have Ann to thank for that! read more

Ann was very helpful during our whole wedding process. She is very experienced and very organized. She tried to navigate both sides of our family and gave many vendor recommendations. She was always available for calls and emails to answer our questions and give advice. The week before the wedding, she collected all our things so we didn't need to worry about anything the day of the wedding. The wedding day went so smoothly and kept on the schedule we created together. When the bustle of my dress broke, she sewed it for me so I could enjoy dancing the whole night. Thanks Ann! read more

You could not make a better choice in your wedding planning process than to choose Ann as your coordinator. She is amazing, creative, detailed and on top of everything for your big day so you don't have to be. Ann was there to make suggestions, talk me off a ledge if needed and coordinate with the wedding vendors to ensure everything would be running smoothly for us. Our wedding day was perfection and coming from a slightly control freak Bride that is no small feat! We honestly don't know what we would have done without her and recommend her completely to everyone. Don't be that Bride who doesn't hire a coordinator or hires one only based on cost - hire a professional - Ann Strobel! read more

Ann is an absolute must for your wedding or event! She was my coordinator for my wedding on 5/25/13. She is incredible! She responded to every email, text, and phone call so quickly. She had so many ideas to make our wedding so unique and perfect! She truly listened to what we wanted and worked with us to make it happen. She is very calm and relaxed and super friendly- she kept me calm!!! I truly would not have enjoyed my wedding as much as I did without her there. She is such a beautiful person! She totally knows what she is doing and has SO much experience. Everything flowed so well. She is a GEM!!! read more

I have worked with Ann on a number of weddings from backyard county chic, to country club high end and each wedding has captured the personality of the bride and groom. I think that is the most important part about finding a good wedding coordinator. You want them to project your style, not their own, on your wedding. Ann understands this and can take your vision from concept to completion. Each wedding I've worked with Ann has been top notch. Ann is easy to work with and one of the hardest workers I've ever seen behind the scenes. If she is available for your special day, I wouldn't miss the opportunity to have her help make your wedding day perfect. read more

I am a vendor that worked with Ann this past Saturday. The venue gave only two hours for everything to be set up. She had reason to stress but was CALM and collected, asking if she could help in any way. We have worked events where coordinators have all day to set up, but are running around stressed out. Ann trusted us to get our part done, was organized and calm. Her demeanor made all the difference. If you want your wedding day to be smooth and stress free, Ann is your coordinator. Thanks for being easy to work with Ann! read more

Ann was very diligent and organized with her work. She was also very professional and fun to work with. She was extremely knowledgeable and resourceful. Lastly, she was crafty and creative which really allowed us to have a very unique wedding. Highly recommend Ann for your wedding planning! read more

How do you properly thank someone who made sure your wedding day was PERFECT? Ann is a consummate professional, who is well connected in the wedding industry. She is down to earth, friendly, and tremendously talented. We hired Ann for full service wedding planning and she helped us with every single step in the process, making sure that we were never stressed out. She even took her own time and creative talent to add special personal touches. We received many discounts from our vendors for using such a talented wedding planner. Ann became more like family along the way, and we consider her to be a dear friend. The day of our wedding she was there any time we needed her, and made sure the day was flawless. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend her for any event you may need assistance with. She is THE BEST. read more

We just had our wedding in San Diego this last May and it was exceptional and perfect! From the first day my husband and I sat down with Ann until our big day had finally arrived, Ann was always checking in and helping the process go as smoothly as possible. I would never recommend Ann for any wedding. I went through a horrific and very painful experience of my fiancé calling off our wedding a week before our day. My family and I had hired Ann as a week/day of coordinator 3 weeks prior to our wedding. We graciously paid her a full $800 upfront even though a $200 deposit was all that was required until the wedding day itself. We worked with several amazing vendors that were more than kind and understanding of the situation. Actually all vendors except Ann were a joy to work with. Even in a devastating time they were fair, kind, and ran a valued business. Others promptly refunded any money they could. Unfortunately none is true of Ann. On the contract Ann sent us she listed 11 tasks she would complete for the $800. Two of those tasks were completed. creating a timeline and communicating with my other vendors. 9 of those tasks were to be done at the rehearsal or wedding day itself. She has still yet to send any refund and says that $100 is all she plans on refunding because of the hours of work she put in. She actually said because of all the hours of work she put in the rehearsal and wedding day of service is free from the $800 we paid up front. Even though we were only required to give her $200 upfront. No where on her contract does it state we paid in hours for her work but for the tasks to be completed. Reminder we hired Ann as a day of week of coordinator for the wedding not for an hourly rate. I met with Ann one time in person. We have yet to receive any check at all. It's been over a week. She has by far been the worst service I have ever worked with. Extremely unprofessional and I would be very careful moving forward with her service. I worked with amazing vendors including The Abbey catering, The La Jolla Women's Club, Pixster, Camellias flowers, and Steve from Unique Mobile Sounds. All were beyond amazing even in this personal time of pain I would recommend them highly for any wedding. I will recommend they be very careful associating with Ann as well. Please be careful moving forward working with Anns Plans for any wedding or planning purpose. Needless to say due to breech of contract we will take her to court. Very unfortunate. read more

Ann planned our wedding and was very friendly and approachable. The week of she made sure to check in frequently. I believe everything went smoothly because of her organization and informing people where to go when. We had an Indian wedding and she did not know very many Indian vendors in the area, but she was helpful for the most part and kept all our contacts to help with future Indian weddings. read more

Ann planned my best friend's wedding a few years ago and everything went off without a hitch, so I decided to use her for the coordination of my wedding. My husband and I got married 6/9, and couldn't be happier with her! We had a very country wedding in East County, and it was mostly DIY. She offered suggestions, helped with decor, and made the day of so incredibly smooth for us! I am very Type A personality and like to be in control, but I had no hesitancy allowing Ann to take the reigns. She is so sweet and straightforward. If you are looking for a planner or coordinator, I would highly recommend her, no doubt! Thank you for making our best day even better, Ann! read more

I LOVE ANN. The morning of the wedding, I was a nervous wreck from family issues, general stage fright, and lack of sleep...Ann was the person I turned to for advice and help, and she took care of me. She made our wedding easy and beautiful, and I would recommend her highly. She is worth every penny, and more. From dreaming up special little awesome details to taking care of minor mishaps, she can do it all. She incorporated all of my ideas into a beautiful day. She also recommended great vendors for us when I was getting tired of the planning process. She took such good care of us. We are so happy she was on our team. Thank you Ann! read more

I found Ann through our recommended vendors from Paradise Point, our wedding venue. We were fortunate to also meet her at the Bridal Bazaar last year. From the moment we met her we felt at ease, I knew we had to book her for the coordination of our wedding. She is not like any wedding coordinator that you will ever meet. We could really feel that our plans were her plans and that she genuinely cares about her clients. She is a wealth of knowledge that helped us find our wedding officiant, and florist. She also took it personal when other vendors we met with didn't meet our expectations. She made herself available to us all the time. Whether we needed to run something by her, send her our itinerary or just talk, she gladly helped us through countless emails, and even met with us for yogurt to talk wedding plans. On the day of I barely saw her cause she was doing her "thang", making sure our wedding was exactly how we wanted it, making sure our decor was in the right spot and making sure that grandparents, parents and bridal party were where they needed to be. She took our simple ideas of setting up our wedding decor and made it look flawless. She coordinates wedding as if it is no big deal, with ease. She truly has a gift and her calm, yet perfectionist, professional , and caring demeanor in turn made my now husband and I feel calm, secure and important from start to finish of our wedding planning process. She goes above and beyond her job title and we truly consider Ann a friend. Our wedding is over but our friendship with her will last forever. We are forever grateful for everything she has done for us! Thank you SO much for making our dream wedding more beautiful and romantic that we ever imagined, we love you! read more

Ann was a pleasure to work with. She is highly organized and detail oriented. She helped provide me with the wedding of my dreams. I enjoyed having someone to talk to and share ideas with throughout my planning process. She seemed to genuinely care about my wedding. Her fees are very reasonable and well worth the peace of mind. She is well-known in the wedding business and it was nice that she had worked with many of my other vendors. I highly recommend Ann! read more
