Thomas Bui and his team made our wedding and planning experience stress-free, and everything we wanted! We had a black tie outdoor summer wedding in the SF Bay Area (Nestldown) for 90 people + a welcome reception. Not only did everything run smoothly with no hiccups and a gorgeous atmosphere, we also got to truly enjoy the day instead of worrying about running the event, thanks to Thomas and his team - Nelson, Bonnie, and more. Working with Thomas was one of the best decisions in our planning process, especially as two busy professionals. His team handled all vendor sourcing and coordination, our wedding website, invites, and so much more. We interviewed several planners and chose Thomas because of his design sense and gracious, kind attitude. He is a calming presence, makes himself available, checks in when needed, and accommodated our requests. He gives honest advice, and is very thoughtful about the guest experience. Guests complimented every aspect of our wedding, from the beautiful design and personalized it felt to us, to how smoothly everything went. Thomas's design sense is impeccable - we had a unique aesthetic vision but felt a lot of other planners' style wasn't what we were looking for. Thomas immediately understood our creative direction and found the perfect vendors and venue to bring the vision to life. Vendors really love working with him, and they all did an amazing job on our wedding. Though he is based in San Diego, it felt like he was local - he has great relationships with Bay Area vendors, and traveled to SF several times during planning (at no additional cost to us) so he could be hands-on and available. He also has team members in SF which made logistics seamless. Thomas is a warm, friendly professional, talented event planner, and supported by a fantastic team. We absolutely recommend Thomas to anyone who wants an elevated, design-forward wedding, especially busy couples who need real full-service planning support they can rely on. read more

From the very start, he was incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and organized. We had total faith in him throughout the entire process--and because of that, we were so relaxed while planning our wedding, something I never thought I'd say! Thomas truly thought of everything. He anticipated needs we didn't even know we had and was incredibly detail oriented. The team that surrounds him (Julia, Rachel, Bonnie + others) were just as impressive--so kind, helpful, and professional. Thanks to them, we didn't have to worry about a single thing and could actually enjoy every moment of our wedding weekend. We're still getting compliments about how beautiful our wedding was, and we know most of it is because of Thomas and his team. You will not regret hiring Thomas--do it. Honestly, I'd marry Jordon all over again just to attend another Thomas Bui event! read more

Couldn't have gotten married without this team. Thomas saved us money but more importantly he saved us on the things you can't get back- time and energy. His positive energy pushed my wedding stress away so many times and he was always 1 phone call away when I needed him. He became a thoughtful friend through our planning process. His team the day of made me so comfortable and really tended to my every need. Even the crazy ones. Need a cheeseburger? Hot in-n-out is there 15 mins later. I can't picture my wedding without this team. From the design and style (all Thomas, 5% me) and how smooth the day went, I thank this team with my whole heart for giving me a perfect wedding, priceless memories & peace of mind. read more

If you are looking to have a wedding that your guests will not forget, than you need Thomas! Due to an exciting opportunity to live abroad we had to plan a wedding in 3 months and we knew we were going to need a lot help. I was not one of those girls that had been planning my wedding my whole life and knew exactly what I wanted. All we knew was that we wanted it to be on New Year's Eve and amazing. My first task was looking for a wedding planner. I interviewed 5 wedding planners and Thomas' work and reputation definitely stood out. Not to mention his eye for artistic details. Not only was he responsive and excited from the very 1st email but he asked good questions and helped us create the wedding of our dreams. He provided us with great vendors - from cake, officiant, photography, hair, makeup, venue, event design, floral and yes even dress! Thanks to him I had my own personal fitting with Ms. Ines DiSanto herself! The best of all was "The BIG Day!" Thomas and his team (Bonnie and Wynn) are truly there for you. I'm telling you brides, if you don't want to become Bridezilla on this day - you need them. They really took care of all the "stuff" so you and your soon to be spouse can actually just focus on each other and enjoy your wedding day! In the end, we had an elegant, romantic, stylish wedding that all our friends and family raved about. It is a day I will always remember and cherish with nothing but happiness and love. Now that I look back, not only did I get an extremely talented, kind, organized wedding planner - I also gained a new friend! read more

Where do we begin!? I'll start by saying Thomas Bui far EXCEEDED our expectations!! We initially met Thomas in October 2018 at Hotel Del Coronado. My husband and I live in Colorado but would visit the Del often and we fell in love with it. So much so, that we decided to have our wedding there. I researched the list of wedding coordinators provided to us by the Del and narrowed it down to the top four. We flew out to Coronado to meet all four selected wedding coordinators and met with Thomas Bui first. Within the first 5 minutes of our visit, we knew he was the one! My husband and I just canceled the rest, we didn't want to waste their time. Being that this was going to be a destination wedding, timely communication was key. There was never any delay in communication with us when we reached out to Thomas, either text, via email, or phone. Because of this, not once did I worry that things weren't getting done nor did I ever feel the need to micromanage. This truly put me at ease! I was confident I could fully trust Thomas with everything. With that being said, I also knew the vendors he recommended to us were top notch! Thomas was consistently on point with every aspect of our wedding! Our initial wedding date was July 2020, but with the pandemic we ended up postponing the wedding twice and Thomas was in close contact with us throughout. We ended up moving the wedding to Colorado and were married July 10th at The Broadmoor this year. Thomas coordinated the move to Colorado with every single one of our vendors in California and it was seamless! All 15,000 flowers were transported from California to Colorado in a refrigerated truck and they were beyond gorgeous at the wedding. I always had a vision for our wedding, but sometimes that can be hard to relay, but not with Thomas! He knew exactly what I wanted and made that vision come to life. Same is true with my wedding dress. Thomas and I visited a few bridal shops in San Diego, and nothing really caught my attention. Thomas recommended a designer by the name of Galia Lahav. We found a bridal shop in Denver that carried her line of dresses and was he right! I found the wedding dress of my dreams! Thomas and his team have superb attention to detail. Everything was perfect the day of our wedding, there was nothing I would change. We were absolutely amazed and beyond impressed with his work! Friends and family have described our wedding as stunning, magnificent, breathtaking, beautiful, classy and elegant and have said "It's nothing like they've ever seen before" and my favorite, "The wedding of the Century"! My fairytale wedding came true thanks to Thomas Bui, and we will forever be grateful! read more

I don't even know where to start, Thomas is the most amazing wedding planner/person I've ever encountered! Without him I honestly don't think I'd have a wedding, let alone one as beautiful as what we had. Not only does he have the most wonderful taste/vision, he is also a truly wonderful companion throughout the whole process. I leaned on him and he never once faltered. I owe him so much for making my life so much easier and for providing my husband and I such an amazing experience on the most important day of our lives. Thomas is a great listener and really knows how to make your vision come to life. I would recommend him to everyone I know, even if they're not getting married (he does all sorts of occasions). He has become a dear friend to us especially after all we went through together, and I will always cherish him and everything he did for me. read more

We hired Thomas Bui for my mom's 60th birthday celebration. We have always admired Thomas' work as native San Diegans. It has always been a dream of my mom's to hire Thomas, so we were very excited to work with him and Thomas and his team exceeded all of our expectations. We told him a brief idea of what we were thinking for the party and he took it to a new level. His knowledge of the industry and vast experience is unmatched. He has incredible relationships with the best, most reliable vendors, so the entire process from planning to the actual party was efficient and seamless. Thomas coordinated the invites, a dance floor on the pool, gourmet appetizers and dinner, a band, rentals, hair and makeup and much more. The day of the party was relaxing and stress-free thanks to his meticulous planning. Thomas and his team are friendly, outgoing and easy to be around. We always looked forward to our meetings with them prior to the event. Thomas has endless ideas, but knows how to narrow down the priorities to fit within budget. We will absolutely be hiring Thomas again. If you want to throw a first class party, Thomas is for you. read more

Stop your search and look no further. If you are looking for someone who is professional, goes above and beyond every detail, someone who has his finger on the pulse of fashion, up to date on wedding trends both current and future, someone who is highly respected by all of the top wedding venues and top wedding vendors, then go with Thomas Bui!!!!! I know all of the above to be true because he not only did one of our family weddings, he has done FOUR!!!! There are many hacks out there. Do not trust just anyone on one of the biggest days in your life. This can be the difference in your day being the best or worst day in your life. I wish I had known Thomas for my own wedding. Our planner promised the world, but the day of could not deliver. She didn't read the contracts thoroughly and made big and costly mistakes. The right planner makes all the difference. When I plan to renew my vows, I know to do it right and Thomas will be my guy. Our family loves Thomas and his team. You will too! read more

The short version...Thomas and his team are responsible for the most serene, love-filled, and beautiful day of our entire lives! The kind of perfect day that is desired but rarely experienced! The longer version... after years of searching, I was blessed to find the love of my life. Because she is so wonderful, it was very important to me to make our wedding day a tangible demonstration of my adoration for her. The ultimate launching point for the rest of our lives together. Together we interviewed four of the highest rated and recommended wedding planners in the San Diego area, each with their own attributes and fine qualities. I should insert here that I am forthright and not easily impressed, so our interviews were polite, yet critical and extensive. Our meeting with Thomas was just as keen as the others, however Thomas's persona and credentials stood noticeably above and apart from anyone that we spoke to before or after. His portfolio, his sense of elegance and style, and most importantly, the way he sought to understand our vision of our most perfect day came through even in that first meeting. Our choice was clear. I should also state that Thomas did not woo us with promises of a low-budget wedding. That's not who he is, what he does, or what I wanted for this day. But neither does he create weddings that are foolishly extravagant. To steal a phrase, Thomas creates a memory, crafted with the ingredients and services hand chosen by Thomas, suited specifically to the bride and groom, to make for an impeccable experience. Thomas is a craftsman and his work will demonstrate this where it counts. Thomas organized and conducted every meeting with each and every vendor to ensure that they were the correct match for my wife and me, and that they clearly understood their part in our overall vision. Thomas assisted with the selection and fitting of my tux and escorted my wife to multiple wedding dress boutiques to help her choose the perfect dress, along with accompanying her to all fittings. Thomas joined us at bridal shows, at musician additions, venue tours, various food tastings...on and on and on. No detail was lost, no task too small. Thomas quickly became someone we relied upon for all things related to this very important event and more. Thomas became our advisor, our confidant, and our trusted friend. The day of the wedding Thomas and his team had already been to the venue for the previous 24 hours to help with the set-up and ensure everything was impeccable and in place. Throughout the morning, Thomas and half of his team attended to my wife's preparations and desires, while the other half of his team assisted me and my groomsmen. They helped us get ready, calmed nerves, and served a much needed adult beverage to me and my groomsmen. They escorted each of us to the wedding venue at which point Thomas and his team continued to work their magic throughout the entire occasion, seamlessly and without intrusion. It truly was the most beautiful day of our lives, and not only because of the love we found with each other, but because of the way Thomas crafted everything to ensure that it be that way. My wife and I are not alone in our experiences and sentiments of that wonderful day. We received exclamations of amazement of how perfectly beautiful and love filled our wedding was from everyone who attended. We have been married almost a year now and our family and friends STILL speak of it as one of the most magical days in their lives as well! Thank you Thomas for what you did for me and the love of my life! Thank you so much! Chris Ouellette P.S. Ask Thomas to see photos of our wedding! You will see that we did not exaggerate our review! read more

They say we won't remember much about your Wedding Day..... They say it will go by in a flash.... They even say we wouldn't have an opportunity to enjoy ourselves.... I wouldn't agree with any of those statements at all. My Husband and I felt very present and very aware of everyone and everything that transpired on the most blissful day of our lives. This could not have been possible had it not been for Thomas Bui Lifestyle and his team. My husband to be and I simply gave Thomas the colors we wanted to use and the mood we wanted to create. From there, a masterpiece of color, textures and elegance set forth a day that our Family and Friends still speak of; a day that my Husband and I will remember for eternity; a collection of loving memories that will forever live in our hearts. To say I felt like Royalty that day is to say the least. Bonnie, Thomas's wonderful right hand woman, pampered me as though I was the Princess about to marry the Prince. She was there to tend to my every whim. I'm not at all demanding, however, she was there anticipating what I may want and need. Bonnie was like a little magical Fairy fluttering back and forth ensuring that my day was a magical one. In the meantime, Thomas and the rest of his team were not only helping my Husband and the groomsmen prepare, they were also engaged in ensuring that the entire event experience ran smoothly. They made sure the Guests were being taken care of just as much as the Bride and Groom. Friends and Family were being directed from one part of the venue to another all the while being fed and entertained. The day flowed effortlessly from one event to the next. The ceremony, music, cocktail hour, dinner, cake cutting and after dinner dancing were immaculately harmonized. There was not one mishap, not one complaint, not one mistake made by Thomas, his team or any of the Vendors. Thomas's ability to coordinate is unsurpassed and his style innate. All the vendors he recommended were extremely professional and easy to work with. Thomas demonstrated such care in all he did that he has since become a close friend of ours. We highly recommend Thomas Bui Lifestyle for any Wedding or Event. Simply put, Thomas Bui is an artistic Genius! Thank you Thomas! Adriana Ouellette read more

To Thomas and the whole TBL crew: We wanted to say thank you, again, from the bottom of our hearts for making the wedding of our dreams a reality! I've personally been dreaming of my wedding day since I was a little boy, but this weekend proved that I didn't dream big enough. I never imagined just how beautiful it could have been -- and our actual wedding exceeded all of my wishes as a young boy. THANK YOU ALL for creating the best day of our lives! We love you so much for everything that you do! read more

I loveeeeee Thomas! I don't care how organized or well thought out you can be, you need a Wedding Coordinator...and you need Thomas Bui. Period. I was one of those brides who planned their wedding for almost 2 years and I thought I could pull it together myself....boyyyy, was I wrong! Although I wasn't initially looking for a coordinator, Thomas Bui was constantly and strongly referred by my other vendors. I casually approached him a year and a half prior to my wedding and asked him how much he was charging. Thomas Bui's pricing was actually really reasonable, but stupid me, I went over budget and couldn't hire one anyway. Boo. :( Nevertheless, he never gave up on me and continually followed up with me from time to time. Seeing that Thomas genuinely wanted to work with us, my husband and I were able to pull some strings together and finally decided to hire him. Let me tell you, IT WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST WEDDING DECISION WE EVER MADE! Thomas went above and beyond our expectations. He communicated with us in a timely fashion. You could call or text him anytime and he would be available to answer any of your questions. He attended my appointments with other vendors and also communicated and followed up with them. Out of all the vendors I worked with, Thomas was my favorite. He was one of those people where he completely understood our vision in its entirety, which made him so easy to work with. He knew what we needed and of course, he knew what we wanted as well. He just knew all the right questions to ask. During the process, he had valuable suggestions and on the day of, he took upon himself to make executive decisions that caused the day to run much more smoothly and efficiently. Best of all, WE WERE ON TIME because of him! My wedding was pretty hectic, with TWO ceremonies and a reception that literally lasted all day long but through it all, he had remained cool, calm, and collected. Overall, he was extremely professional, personable, well liked, and respected by many, including from other vendors in the wedding industry. Not only was he wonderful to work with, but he also became a wonderful friend to me along the way. My only regret from this entire planning was not hiring him sooner! Don't make the same mistake as me! Trust me when I say this that you need to hire Thomas. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Thomas and his staff for my Wedding in September. Throughout the entire year of planning, Thomas and his staff were not only responsive, flexible and filled with great ideas, but they had a genuine passion for what they did. We were certainly not an easy bunch to work with - we threw hurdles, curve balls and ridiculous requests Thomas' way constantly... and needless to say, the Wedding was perfect. Thomas and his staff were organized and a HUGE help during the actual Wedding. At no point did any member of the bridal party have to worry about a thing. I would highly recommend Thomas Bui Lifestyle to help plan your upcoming wedding, holiday party, etc. They are a fun bunch!! read more

My husband and I met Thomas through a family friend. Due to unfortunate circumstances with our previous planner, we met Thomas only 3 month before our wedding date. He stepped in immediately with such professionalism and grace. I was a very "hands on" bride, but with all things I knew they were being taken care of and handled properly. He is such a talented man with true passion for the weddings he creates for this clients. The day of our wedding was simply a dream. I remember it so vividly and that's because all of our ideas were turned into reality thanks to Thomas. Thomas and his team delivered beyond words...allowing all of us to just be in the moment and enjoy the fun. Thomas' reputation is sparking and all vendors he aligned to help create our wedding were his biggest fans. The only sad thing now is that we don't get to see him every week like we did leading up to the wedding! ;-) Thomas truly does it all and at the same time, gets to know you on a very personal level and cares about the services he is delivering to all his clients. In short, you will not be sorry...he is brilliant! read more

I honestly cannot recommend Thomas Bui enough. We found him through our venue on a list of recommended coordinators, and his work stood out by a mile. We were so excited to have found a coordinator who's work looked so impeccable, and who was in our budget range. We were also extremely lucky he was able to work with us. Thomas was so responsive, attentive, and patient with us the whole process. He consistently, and immediately responded to any email, or call, or text we sent. He was always two steps ahead of us, and thought of EVERYTHING. We never had to worry if anything was done yet, because we knew he had everything under control. It was such a relief to have total and complete faith in him as a professional. He knows everyone. Thomas's wealth of contacts in the industry was such a blessing. He seems to literally know everyone personally, and everyone loves him. My friend and I were looking at a venue for a bridal shower, and we met with the catering manager- who didn't know Thomas was our planner- and he recommended him! By saying; "I know you're only looking for shower venues right now- but if you need a wedding coordinator still, call Thomas Bui- he's the best in the business!" We were like- "yeah. We know!!" This kept happening. EVERYONE loves Thomas, and because of this- everyone wants to help! He was able to recommend THE BEST vendors for us. He got to know us, and was able to recommend the best people to match our tastes and styles. Also, with this- he's always on your side, and is trying to get the best for YOU! We never felt like his attention was divided. We really felt like we were an important client, and even though our budget wasn't huge- he made us feel like first-class clientele. I know Thomas works with upper-crust society, and we were treated with total respect, and attention the whole time. He was always on our side, and was willing to help us out every step of the way. Thomas doesn't take on more weddings than he can at once- to make sure he gives everyone his total attention, and this was VERY clear. His taste is impeccable. He has seen everything, and has the best eye, but is also totally adaptable to your personal taste. He entirely took on board our vision, and knew exactly what we were talking about. I had a very specific aesthetic I wanted to achieve, and most wedding coordinators I spoke with didn't even understand, or want to throw us into a "packaged" kind of wedding. Thomas understood what we wanted, and payed EXTREME attention to detail to make sure it was exactly what we liked- and not someone else's vision. His team is amazing. His day-of team was friendly, warm, kind, and tireless. We felt so well-taken care of! They were just lovely people, and made the day so easy for us. Your wedding day only happens once- and you're going to want to be able to not worry about the details, and just have fun. I was so calm the whole process because I knew I could trust everything being in Thomas's capable hands. I cannot praise him as highly as he deserves. If you're looking for a kind, sweet, professional, responsive, attention and detail-oriented coordinator- please work with Thomas! You 100% will be happy. He's the best investment we made!! read more

Thomas Bui was recommended to us by a friend. It was the most straightforward recommendation. Our friend said, "he was the best investment we made for our wedding". He only provides full service coordinating and he's not cheap. But, like most things... you get what you pay for! I could probably right pages with examples of our wonderful experience with Thomas, but I'll keep it short and to the point - He is full of ideas, professional and very well respected in the wedding business. We have a very busy lifestyle and difficult schedule. We knew we needed a planner to help me keep my sanity during the 9 month planning process. My husband is in the Navy and on a carrier so he's in and out of port. We had to make the best of the time he had at home and we didn't want the wedding planning to consume us. We also knew we wanted every detail to be "us" which would be impossible to put together without some help. We're also two different personality types when it comes to planning and Thomas balanced it well during the planning process. Thomas always recommended the right vendors for every detail we wanted. If we had an idea, he'd help us develop it and find the right person at a fair price point to make it a reality. I think we went with his first recommended vendor 99% of the time even after meeting others. The more time we spent together the more he got to know us. He simply had the right instinct for what we would and wouldn't like in décor and food. I didn't have the time to scan tons of vendors, spend hours online, etc. Thomas has an entire network and extensive experience. I just had to send him a quick email and he'd respond almost instantly with an answer or that he's looking for the answer. Our favorite part of working with Thomas is that we felt like his only client. We knew we weren't and he's extremely busy, but there's a lot to be said for a coordinator who can make you feel like you're his #1 priority ALL the time. You'll never hear him vent or look stressed. He's always well composed and professional. It's easy to get really friendly with wedding vendors because some of it is really fun to do, but you're paying them a lot of money to do a job. Thomas is fun to work with, but remains on task all the time. Every couple is different and if you're looking for someone who will make your wedding day as unique as you then Thomas can make it a reality. Don't be cheap though and expect to get a dream wedding at a bargain. Thomas will be straightforward whether something is fair priced or overpriced. He'll negotiate for you and make sure you're comfortable with what you're spending. He'll also help you walk away from vendors when they're not the right fit. He is literally at your side through the whole process and the day of the wedding he and his team are on point. Every single time I needed one of them they were within a few steps. I never had to answer a question, stress about anything, or worry. As soon as someone asked me a question, one of them was at my side to help. They were my "brain" the day of...I just enjoyed our day with no worries which is how it should be. To conclude my (long) review, I'll share this...our wedding day would have been just as happy and full of love with another coordinator because getting married and starting our life together was the whole point. But, what Thomas added was ease in planning, elegance, grace, class and beauty to the details. Everyone had so much fun at the wedding. He organized everything down to each minute and each detail. He truly is one of the best in the business as so many vendors told us he was along the way and I'm so happy we hired him for our wedding. read more

I have to agree with every other review on here. Thomas truly is the best of the best. He thought of every detail for us. We never once had to be concerned that something wasn't being taken care of. He knows all the best vendors and was amazing with helping us meet our budget. When we would casually mention something we wanted to do, he would always remember it and make it happen. I don't know how he does it but he responds to every email right away. The day of the wedding was completely flawless. My (now) husband and I did not worry about a single thing since everything was timed and taken care of behind the scenes. Thomas' team even went to our room and fed and walked our dog during the reception. Bonnie was with the bridal party all day and is just the sweetest and most helpful woman. The decor and ambiance of the event was so incredible and spot on with what I wanted for the day. We could not have been happier. Trust me, he is worth every penny. read more

I love Thomas! He saved my sister's wedding. Initially, my sister hired another wedding planner who turned out to be the wedding planner from hell. She kept pressuring my sister to make a decision without any guidance or creative design. When I confronted her, she would argue that she was just a planner and not an event designer. What?? 3 weeks leading up to the wedding, my sister was stressed out and still did not have her flowers, linens, or stationary. There was no theme or color scheme. Luckily I read the reviews and found Thomas. I forwarded his information to my sister who called him right away. He was returning from a trip in Hawaii with another client and called her back that evening. He felt so bad for my sister that he was going to help her with the design behind the scenes while my sister worked with the other planner. This would mean that he would not be able to take any credit for his work. My sister told me that she felt better in her one conversation that she had with Thomas than the months that she spent with her other planner. Thomas has an artistic flair and will provide advice when you need it. And my sister needed advice. She was down to 3 weeks with no ideas. He calmed her down and helped her make decisions. Not only did he have an artistic flair, he knew who the "good" vendors were...all of his recommendations were spot on. She decided to fire her other planner and hire Thomas to not only design but to handle the day of the wedding. The wedding was beautiful and Thomas kept everything running smoothly. I consider him to be like family and would recommend him in a heartbeat. He knows how to work with all different brides (even the indecisive ones) and knows how to bring their vision to life. read more

Thomas Bui Lifestyle were the reason my wedding went over so smoothly. This review is long overdue, as Thomas and the team saved the day and so much more! When we first booked our outdoor venue, I had assured my future mother-in-law that San Diego rarely ever rains in August. Low and behold the one day in August it rains and I mean actual rain, happens to be our wedding day. Without missing a beat Thomas secured the last available tent for us and made everything work magically and beautifully, to the point that our guests thought we had originally planned our reception to have this look and feel. If it was just my husband and I dealing with everything on this day, the wedding may have just been cancelled altogether. I cannot say enough about the level of professionalism, creativity, & attentiveness that Thomas and team puts into their work. From the beginning to end, Thomas was involved in every step to help us plan our day. He truly cares and embodies what is the best about the wedding industry. I recommended Thomas to my sister for her wedding as I saw his amazing touch in action at my friend's wedding. He was present from the beginning stages of planning to the end for my sister and her now husband, even though her wedding was a three day affair with 270+ guests attending! I would be remiss in writing this review without also speaking in high regards about Bonnie Tran, the right hand lady of Thomas, who is absolutely fabulous! When they found out we didn't have time to make a run for drinks (open venue), Bonnie went out and bought it for us so that we didn't have to worry about it. The humor and personal touches they put into our day we will always fondly remember. These two have become more than just Wedding Coordinators to us, but are true friends. We are truly grateful for the care and level of professionalism that Thomas and team put into helping us visualize and create our wedding day. It is without reservation that I recommend Thomas and team, as they are worth it! ~Michael and Mimi read more

What an amazing day, and what an amazing guy that made it all possible. We are a busy couple, but one that was as involved as we could be in arranging the most amazing day. We got Thomas Bui's full planning service which was a great decision! 2 religions, 3 languages, divorced parents, lots of opinions, stressful jobs, everyone's life is complicated. The only reason we were able to enjoy the planning process is that we had cool-headed Thomas who was on top of everything at every moment along the way. You don't know what you don't know, and that's one of the many reasons to get a great planner. Thomas is of course an expert in all the details involved in planning a great wedding, but he is also naturally an EXTREMELY detail-oriented person. That is the kind of person you want as a wedding planner, and this combined with his strong artistic sense is unique. We can say this because we met with a number of the best wedding planners in SD, and we were quite pleased that the decision was so clear to us. He had the experience to know what we would want ahead of time, what family and guests will want, and knows all the ways to accommodate everyone for a great party and a magical experience. We came in with many ideas, and Thomas helped us bring them to life. We had many planning meetings with Thomas which helped us always be well informed and know what decisions need to be made. He and his team had the expertise to provide stylistic suggestions when needed, and gave great recommendations for vendors. His day of service was on point. Because we were lucky enough to have Thomas and his team, we got to enjoy the moment. His assistant Bonnie is equally as rockstar and ten steps ahead of every potential need of the bride and groom for the day. The day went off like clockwork, and everything was so perfect. Can't say enough great things about Thomas - if you want to have an amazing unforgettable wedding, Thomas Bui all the way! read more

There are so many fantastic things to say about Thomas, his team and my experience! I don't know if I can adequately say everything that he deserves. After getting engaged in February, it was decided that we were going to attempt a wedding in July of the same year...4 months! Realizing that wasn't a lot of time to begin planning, I immediately started to research wedding planners. I found Thomas through his outstanding Yelp reviews. To research further, I looked on his web site, then called him. We set up a meeting. I was already convinced that I wanted to hire him prior to the initial meeting, then after talking with him, it was confirmed. I didn't need to look through any other planners work...Thomas was beyond amazing. Throughout our quick engagement, Thomas was very communicative. We talked, emailed and met in person enough to make me feel at ease, without making me feel overwhelmed. It was a good balance. He truly has amazing eye and I put a lot of decisions in his hands. I'm not a picky bride and I knew that he would have a better idea with certain things than I would because he is a professional. And, he did. The wedding was amazing. It was the "modern vintage" look that I wanted without breaking the bank. He worked well with all of the vendors that we had hired. Everyone speaks very highly of Thomas and he's very well known in the industry, which is a huge plus. Thomas is a sweetheart. He can be honest when he needs to be, especially when he says what I WANT to say, but can't. He took that stress away from me. I appreciated that because I'm not good at saying no to people. He did it for me in a kind way :-) Thank you to Thomas, Alessandra and the rest his team who helped make our wedding and the planning memorable. read more

Thomas Bui definitely has a craft for planning beautiful and amazing weddings, ensuring all the pieces align for your special day. While he is by no means, inexpensive, we can honestly say that his services are worth every single dollar spent--which is the primary reason why we flew him all the way out from San Diego to plan an entire wedding weekend for us in Carmel Valley, CA. Thomas, alongside his team of amazing assistants pulled off our special wedding weekend, without a hitch, ensuring every small detail fell into place so that we didn't have to worry about a thing! From the day his team touched down in Northern California, they ensured us that we didn't have to worry about a thing! Talk about a full service package! In addition, his creative insight into the latest and greatest wedding trends were also noteworthy, helping us create and design the wedding of our dreams. If you haven't seen a Thomas Bui Lifestyle wedding, I encourage you to check it out! His style and design are cutting edge and out of this world. We will never forget our special weekend, mostly in part due to the help of Thomas and his fearless event execution. read more

Thomas Bui is as good as it gets! He is truly a visionary. You basically describe to him your vision and he makes it even better. He is so patient and helpful in guiding you through your even and is always available to you. Guests will leave your wedding in "awe" at the beauty of it all. Thomas Bui's style is definitely one of a kind. It will be hard to find another wedding designer with his style of sophistication. read more

There aren't enough fabulous words to describe Thomas Bui! When I first began planning my wedding I thought that I could handle this no problem...I had a year to plan! But trying to juggling work, life and now a huge wedding was very overwhelming. Enter Thomas Bui! He came highly recommended by the staff at Estancia La Jolla (our venue). From the moment I met him, I knew we would work great together. I hired him immediately. During the next 10 months of planning Thomas played the role of wedding coordinator, marriage counselor (got my husband to agree to more of my ideas LOL) and friend. His guidance throughout the ENTIRE process was so helpful and reassuring. When you are putting so much time and effort in planning your dream wedding, you definitely have complete meltdown moments (I'm a perfectionist). From the moment Thomas stepped in, no more meltdowns! He was there with me every step of the way, even meeting with me and my other vendors (which helps b/c he can speak the lingo). He is extremely professional and approachable. He listened to my ideas and offered his own ideas which was exactly what I wanted. I was really afraid that a wedding coordinator would turn me into a cookie cutter version of their own vision. The BIG DAY finally arrived and boy was I the most relaxed bride ever. There was nothing to stress about because Thomas had everything covered. I was able to enjoy champagne and brunch all morning with my bridemaids without having to make sure the behind the scenes tasks were getting done for the reception. The entire day was perfectly executed...thanks to Thomas. The party was such a hit that I still get compliments. I highly recommend Thomas Bui to every bride out there. He has already worked both my sister's and cousin's wedding. Take my advise, hire Thomas Bui as the first vendor when you start your planning process. read more

Thomas is a very stylish, classy, caring, and wonderful person!! He sincerely loves his work and his brides. I had worked with Thomas for my late October wedding for over a year. He was always very responsive to my emails and calls, and very flexible to my crazy schedule because I took three months off from wedding planning to study for the California Bar. He dealt with the vendors for me. He helped me so much from designing the centerpiece to buying my guest book signing pens. The thing about Thomas that I love the most is he always know what I like and what style suits me the best. I believe this ability comes from his rich experience in wedding and his caring and observing characters. The day of my wedding went really smooth and worry free. Thomas and his staff made me able to enjoy my wedding day and all the hard work that we put in. If you are looking for a wedding planner who is detail oriented, passionate, responsible, great taste for everything from the flowers to the dress, the shoes, the jewelry, reputable among the vendors and brides, THOMAS is the one! No matter what style and budget you have for your wedding, Thomas is the one who knows everything about wedding and pull off the best from what you have the way you want and hope!! Stop your search now: choose Thomas Bui and his team as they will TAKE CARE OF EVERY DETAIL for your big day!!! What a blessing it was for our entire bridal party, family, and friends to rely on the professionalism, timeliness, and organization of Thomas and his team. We were blown away by the final outcome of our wedding and couldn't have asked for more. Thomas' vision, style, and overall execution cannot be paralleled. You are in EXCELLENT hands with his services and you will not be disappointed. I was told OVER and OVER by all of my vendors how lucky I was to be working with him and now I know why!!! Love to Thomas and his team for being THE BEST IN SAN DIEGO (and maybe even wider spread) - hands down!!! read more

Because of Thomas and his team I had nothing but a positive experience planning this wedding out of state. I found Thomas through Yelp. My now husband and I read a few of his reviews and decided to give him a call. It was the best decision I ever made regarding this wedding (aside from marrying my husband!) I live in Oklahoma and we wanted to get married some place in Southern California. Thomas stayed in my budget and made the whole process quite easy. He brought me the best vendors to work with because he already had a lot of experience working with them. We only had to go out to California twice, once to pick the venue and once to get the rest of the details in place. I have heard of all the horror stories from other brides about their experience working with a planner, but mine was wonderful. The wedding went off without a hitch. It was a perfect weekend! He had a wonderful team with him the whole weekend!! He nailed my vision and filled in the places where I didn't have a vision beautifully. Thomas gets flown all over the US to do weddings and parties, and now I see why. He is wonderful!!! I can't recommend Thomas Bui Lifestyle's enough. He is worth every penny and it will be the best decision you make for your event. read more

Thomas is one of those people who knows exactly what he is doing. He coordinated our event with absolute professionalism, complete knowledge of the industry, extensive resources, and a sense of calm that every professional needs to possess in a stressful environment. His sense of calm and not introducing his own bias into our plans show that this gentleman is worthy of being considered among the top of his industry. His associates were just as professional - stepping up whenever we asked and completely working behind the scenes whenever they knew that our event wasn't about them. I can't recommend Thomas Bui Lifestyles enough! Thank you for making us feel so incredibly taken care of up to and including our special day! read more

I spent a year planning my wedding with Thomas Bui and I couldn't be more upset that it's over! From the second that I spoke with Thomas on the phone to check if he'd be available to plan my wedding, I knew I'd hire him. I hired him July 2017 and got married May 2018. He is amazing to work with. From negotiations with vendors to picking linens and designing floral arrangements, Thomas does it all. Aside from being organized and on top of every single vendor (he doesn't take crap from anyone!!), he takes the time to check in on you to see how you and your family are doing. He has incredible attention to detail and makes sure that everything is perfect at all times. He has a spectacular vision that is amazing to see come to life. I really put all my trust into Thomas and he did not disappoint. I had told him about the overall look I was going for and less than a week later he had come up with the decor and color scheme. It made me feel at ease because he understood exactly what I wanted and totally delivered. I'm a pretty anxious person but Thomas helped make my wedding day the easiest day. He has a team of amazing people he works with that cater to your every need the day of. My dress broke but Thomas's team knew exactly how to fix and sew it quickly so I could get back out on the dance floor. I would work with Thomas time and time again!!!! Love you Thomas!!!! Thomas Bui is the best! It's hard to put into words how much my husband and I love and appreciate him. If you are looking for a true visionary with a keen sense of style, expert guidance, impeccable taste, charming personality, and a delightful sense of humor, Thomas is your man. He's so many more things than we can possibly articulate. Thomas planned our June 2015 Balboa park wedding at the San Diego Museum of Art. We worked with Thomas for 8 months and from the beginning he thought of every detail and maintained constant contact with us. Thomas was patient and knowledgeable and helped us sort through all the possible wedding venues until we found just the right location in Balboa Park. Every step of the way, Thomas made the process of planning our wedding a delightful experience. We looked forward to every vendor meeting, food tasting, cake tasting and floral consultation. We knew we were working with a true professional and that we could let go and enjoy the process. We had no doubt that our wedding day was going to be amazing. As expected, Thomas delivered a magical experience that surpassed our wildest dreams. Thomas and his fabulous assistant Bonnie kept us grounded on a day that could have been overwhelming. We knew we could relax and truly enjoy the day because Thomas and his team were in total control. When we look through our wedding photos, we see people smiling, laughing, dancing and having an amazing time in a stunningly beautiful setting with immaculate details and overwhelming beauty. None of it would have been possible without Thomas. My husband and I have gone through 'Thomas withdrawal' since our wedding. We wish we could get married again just to work with Thomas. As we said at the beginning of this review, Thomas Bui is the best of the best and a true haute couture wedding designer. With all our love and gratitude -- Robb & Christian read more

The most stressful part of our wedding was honestly the search for a wedding planner. Once we found Thomas Bui and his team, it was stress free from there on out. He works with your budget, your style, your FAMILY, coordinating all the vendors, literally everything. Thomas and his team were highly organized, and did a great job exceeding our expectations. We would love to use his services again, but hopefully we won't have to..haha. I will tell you though, if I plan on throwing another large event, Thomas Bui will be the first person I call. Wedding planning is stressful, but it doesn't have to be. Thomas, we appreciate you, Bonnie, and Robb, and all the hard work you did for us. The small details, like Bonnie tying my bowtie, and Robb sticking around after the ceremony to make sure everyone got to the reception were very thoughtful. Thank you for your quick responsiveness...i'm sure i'll se a reply to this yelp review in a few seconds..haha. Keep it up! -Alex, Chiharu and Porter read more

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Thomas Bui. We have now made it through both our kids' weddings, and could not have done it without Thomas and his amazing team - Bonnie, Rachel and Rob. You feel like you're his only client. And whatever your budget, he treats it like it's the most amazing wedding in the world. Just look at his website and you will see his creativity and passion for design. He listens to your vision and then figures out ways to enhance it. He doesn't try to change it. He understands it's YOUR wedding. And you can trust him completely. He asks questions and makes suggestions - many times things you wouldn't have thought about. He has an extensive list of recommended vendors for varying budgets. But the truly exceptional value of Thomas' skills is right before and on wedding day. He confirms every detail with all the vendors, venue arrangements etc. right before the day. Then on wedding day, he and his team are there, from first thing in the morning until the venue shuts down. Everything runs smoothly. You don't need to think about anything, because Thomas and his team have thought about everything. All you have to do is enjoy the day. This is so important for EVERYONE - bride, groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents on both sides. Things go wrong, but Thomas handles them behind the scenes and you never know it. You are free to enjoy your very special day. We are so thankful to have found Thomas. We recommend him without hesitation. read more

I started planning my wedding in November 2016, a year in advance. I knew I wanted a wedding planner and I started looking at the recommended vendors listed by our Wedding Venue. I interviewed one planner, and almost settled, Im so glad I didnt. This planner actually said Thomas Bui was her inspiration, so I decided to keep my appointment with Thomas. We met in a coffee shop in Bankers Hill and within 10 minutes I knew I had the right planner. His style is impeccable and his taste is exquisite, just like mine. The beauty of hiring Thomas is he figures you out, your tastes and his vision is based off you, but even better. Throughout the year of planning, I continually heard from friends and family how at ease I was and what little stress I had. The reason is because I had Thomas, he took care of everything. Throughout the planning he never seemed flustered himself. His responses to emails and text messages were prompt. My guests not only told me my wedding was the most beautiful they had ever seen but that the evening itself was magical. My only complaint about thomas is that I dont get to see him every week now, I enjoyed the entire process from beginning to the sweet bitter end. The only planner I would ever consider in San Diego or for out of town events is Thomas. Thank you for going above and beyond and wowing our guests and us!! read more

Thomas Bui Lifestyle - Thomas, Matt and Leslie - Wedding Planning Near Me - San Diego, California

From the moment I first met Thomas over Zoom we instantly clicked. He was so thoughtful and kind, and listened intently to my vision. He was open and honest, and made me very excited about the whole process! I originally had to talk my parents into the idea of hiring a wedding coordinator, and a few months in they were both gushing about how fantastic Thomas and his team were, and agreed it was worth every penny. As a bride he will make you feel like a princess, and he makes the effort to make everyone involved feel comfortable and heard. He is so well connected in San Diego - he found us exceptional vendors, which he has strong relationships with. Day of - his team was a dream. When my husband and I walked into the reception room for the first look, it took our breath away! He even surprised us with a very special gift the day of the wedding. I could not recommend Thomas Bui Lifestyle more! read more

Thomas planned our wedding about a couple months ago and our family and friends are still raving about him. His grace, modern style and warm demeanor is what really made him stand out in our eyes. From the napkin rings to the chair covers, nothing was over looked. Everyone, including some of the staff members that worked at the property, were amazed on how beautifully the ceremony site and reception site were transformed. My jaw dropped when I saw our ceremony site and reception room. We can not thank him or his team enough for all that they did for our wedding. For us it was important that we enjoy our wedding and not have to deal with any of the stresses of the day. Having the help of Thomas and team we did not have to worry about a single thing on the wedding day as he and his team made sure everything ran smoothly. We were able to enjoy every moment of the day. All we can say is thank you, thank you thank you! read more
