Here's the revised version: The owner contacted me and offered a free event, which I declined, requesting a refund instead. She then offered a 20% refund and asked me to change my review, which I again declined. She claimed that despite paying for full event planning services, the event was subpar because I hadn't been involved in planning it. They didn't call. They didn't ask me to go their warehouse. They didn't do anything until the week of the event, when they tried to fit me into their random available times to walk them through my space via FaceTime. To clarify, I paid $2,000 for someone to plan and orchestrate an event. What I received was maybe a $200-$300 setup, and it's apparently my fault for not planning the event I paid someone to plan. She argued that I should have requested changes during the setup. However, I wasn't home at the time. The whole point of hiring this service was to arrive at a fully set-up event with my guests. When I arrived, they were still setting up as my guests were arriving (even though they were supposed to have been gone by then). So, there wasn't time to make changes, and it would have been an awkward conversation anyway. Instead of blaming me, they should have done the job they were paid to do or not sold the package in the first place. To add insult to injury, she compared this situation to eating a pizza and then requesting a refund. This was over $2k. It's not even close to ordering a pizza and asking for a refund. She ripped me off. I stand by my request for a full refund. She should have offered that refund on her own. This event was pitiful. Ultimately, I selected Wee Gather because of the services they offered and the excellent reviews on Yelp. I originally requested January 8th as the party date, but Sierra (my party coordinator) said this date was no longer available and suggested January 15th, which I booked. I had the Custom Gathering which included venue rental for two hours (I paid $125 for an extra hour, for a total of three hours), setup + clean up, tables + chairs, themed event design + styling + decorating of event space, coordinator for the planning process, themed decor + serve water, balloon garland w/custom colors, flowers, coffee bar, fully stocked mini fridge, use of projector and patio area, and access to additional furnishings (which will have extra fees depending on what you rent). This info is from the from Wee Gather website. I booked the space on 12/2/22, a little over a month before the event (01/15/23). At the time of booking, the Custom Gathering w/extra hour + rental of cooler cost me $1,150 ($975 for the Custom Gathering, $125 the extra hour, and $50 for the cooler rental). On the website, the Custom Gathering now starts at $1,299. My party coordinator, Sierra Mathews, was excellent in executing the Super Mario theme of my son's 1st Birthday Party and was super responsive whenever I had inspiration pictures or any small changes to the proposal. I even toured the venue a couple of weeks before the event. Sierra, Oceana, and Amber decorated the space so beautifully and was so gracious to help my family and I bring in the food we had catered from various restaurants of my choosing (you can also request catering from Wee Gather, who most likely have connections to caterers). The projector came in handy because I made a PowerPoint with transitions to show the growth of my son over the year and also the speaker for the music. If you are looking for an awesome space to host a kid's birthday or baby shower, this is the place. The cost is totally worth it because I am a busy mom and Sierra and her team literally did everything, I just provided the inspiration photos for the them. All the guests had a good time and loved the theme. Although my son was a little fussy throughout the party (not used to so many people), I think he secretly enjoyed the party. Wee Gather did a phenomenal job with our baby's Korean 1st birthday party (known as a "doljanchi" or "dohl"). Sierra is incredibly responsive, professional, cordial, and really tries to execute your vision for your event to the finest detail. I cannot say enough about her customer service skills, kindness, and the incredible aesthetic eye she has in making your event as visually appealing/beautiful, as it is meaningful! Our baby's 1st birthday had particularly special meaning for us-as (trigger warning) I actually gave birth to her in a wheelchair with a mask on at almost 44 years old. I had a terrible accident while very pregnant with our baby-and had surgery that doctors told me the fetus may not survive while in utero. Long story short-after 5 months in a wheelchair-I learned to walk again and we had to care for a newborn and a toddler, simultaneously. So when I reflected on this incredible journey-both painful & auspicious/blessed-I really wanted our birthday event to not commemorate our journey as a family, for our precious baby, and how we grew/changed as individuals through this ordeal. I put a deposit on a party at Wee Gather and then covid hit. We had to cancel. This year I reached out to the new owner, Andrea, and made a plan to use the deposit toward a balloon bouquet for an outdoor party for my little one. Andrea is amazing. She met us at Liberty Station and helped us set up the balloons. She was very nice and totally accommodating. The balloons were beautiful and such a hit with the littles. The party was on March 15th and we brought the balloons home that day and hung them on our bannister. I was reminded to write this review because I just took the balloons down last night!!!!! We celebrated my niece's 2nd birthday here and it was cuteness overload. It a Moana theme, she turned the place into a Hawaiian island. The front room is the eating and play area. There is a little wooden play house for the kids. A drink station with mini fridge. And the cutest bathroom with rainbow sprinkle wallpaper. Then there is the back patio area. A portion is shaded and the rest is open. She had a little kids table and play tent setup in the back. She also set up the appetizer table under the patio. We setup some games in the back. There is also plenty of seating and chairs. We also used the baker she recommended for the birthday cake and matching cupcakes. We just gave her the personalized accessories we wanted for the party. And she incorporated it all into her party scheme. We just had to show up to party. The table layout was perfect, it just looked so incredibly cute. We are very happy with how everything turned out. She took care of getting the food and making sure the cake came on time. We didn't have to worry about anything. Overall I was happy with everything. The space is only rented out for 2 hours. I sent them a personal message on Insta and the owner responded right away! Even with emails she was super responsive! I love her! I was lucky enough to have a friend host my baby shower here, and was excited to come back and rent it for my daughter's first birthday! When it comes to events, I'm a bit of a control freak since I plan events for my work, so I may have been a little over the top in my expectations of pre-event communication--there wasn't a ton that I didn't initiate myself. But I realized when I got there that that was because the staff here has this down pat--I had no reason to worry at all. The great: the place is adorable, and the staff is really invested in making sure things look amazing, and run well. The party was worth it for the photo opps alone, so the added bonus of their professional touch in setting up décor and their attention to detail while the party was running made it all the better. The good: all the parties include custom-made coffee and hosted water/juice, which is GREAT, but I didn't do a great job of remembering to tell people, so not many took advantage. Same thing happened at my shower. Some signage to make that obvious would be so helpful. The "wish it was different but doesn't deserve to lose a star": You can only arrive 30 minutes early to set up, and I could have used a little more time than that...or maybe had the opportunity to drop stuff off the night before, so I didn't spend so much time unloading the car. I was still finalizing set up as guests arrived. Also, parties are two hours MAX, unless you want to pay an additional fee. Makes total sense for a shower, but for a birthday party...we felt a bit rushed, but didn't have the budget to extend the fun. But overall, great event. We had a great time, and loved it. When I first met with Elizabeth in person at WeeGather a few months ago, I knew she was the right person to help me pull off my daughters ONEderland themed birthday party. She listened to my ideas, was receptive to my input the weeks leading up to the party and responsive to my last minute emails about logistics. I've been a fan of WeeGather for a while and have always been impressed with the attention to detail I see in their photos. That brings me to the day of the party: When I arrived, I was met by Gabriella who immediately started unpacking my trunk and helped me set up. When I walked inside, I almost fell over! Every single detail on the curated shelves to the right when I walked in was astonishing. The books, the rifle paper company elements, the florals on the shelves, the rabbits to tie into Alice in Wonderland - just wow! The next thing I saw was the balloon garland and dessert table, immediately I thought "these two women completely get me". The color palettes, balloon sizing, arrangement, and layout were beyond my wildest dreams. Actually...that was my dream and they tapped into it perfectly. The framed Rifle Paper Co print was such a special touch as well. The next thing I saw was the spectacular table scape. Incorporating the rustic, wooden slabs, tiny red mushrooms, metallic vases and gorgeous florals with the gold-rimmed blush hexagon plates, leaf napkins (seriously nice touch!), the plastic goblets and gold utensils was magical. The white children's Eames chairs worked out so well, we have the adult version of those chairs in our dining room at home. The wall wreaths were beautiful and framed the rose gold, cursive "one" mylar balloon so well. I want to take a moment to acknowledge the green wall. Originally when Elizabeth and I spoke on the phone, she explained that putting florals into the green wall was destructive to the built material (and had been a problem in the past). Imagine my surprise when I walked in and saw the floral wall come to life! I know that is above and beyond what they normally do and they should know how much I appreciate it Gabriella was so helpful in arranging the food, drinks and helping coordinate with Angela when the desserts arrived. She was available on hand whenever I needed assistance throughout the day with a beautiful smile on her face. Elizabeth's husband jumped right in to unload the beers, helped me set up the projector and assist with whatever else we needed a hand with. The setup outside was wonderful, I expressed a bit of concern about the guests being at a picnic table directly in the sun and within minutes several chairs were set up in the shade. What a beautiful day it turned out to be! The weather was perfect and the children loved playing in the backyard. I want to thank Elizabeth and Gabrielle for working so hard to set up this party and taking my specific ideas from concept to creation. As a photographer, I am TOTALLY smitten with this place! I was looking for a venue to do some shoots and found Wee Gather and couldn't be happier! Im a natural light photographer and found there to be plenty of gorgeous window light to work with! The white walls, the cute details, the concrete floors, the adorable wooden play structure, i loved it all. The owner Albin greeted me open arrival, was so super friendly and very hospitable. Emails corresponding was super quick and easy and booking was a breeze. They had a few decorations up from a previous event that worked so well for my shoot! Perfect! He was willing to help me move things around and was there the whole shoot if we needed anything. They have the cutest details from a stocked beverage fridge, a cute little party shop in the front and even down to the wallpaper in the bathroom. Parking was easy too! At Wee Gather they took care of EVERYTHING. I literally just said it was a Harry Potter party and Elizabeth just ran with it. We had our daughter's 1 year "Some bunny turns 1" party there last October with about 20 people in attendance, 7 of them kids under 5. There were wonderful spaces for them to play both inside and out, adorable decorations and perfectly appointed details throughout the place. From a custom flower wall based on photo I showed them on pintrest to doing all of the prep and set up work on decorations that I purchased, or had, the owner also when the extra mile to find wall hanging woodland wreaths, and add her own "bunny" touches from her collection of things. I was not only happy with the look and feel but the set up work, and the tear down which were done 100% by the team at Wee Gather. I loved having access to the projector, where we did a slideshow of M's 1st year photos, music, a bubble machine outside and more. Creative and chic, I LOVED my bunny party!
