BRICK is fantastic. We opted to pay for wedding coordinator services with BRICK very early on in the process of planning our wedding. We were lucky enough to have Lindsay as our coordinator and we have nothing but good things to say about her. Lindsay was imperative to making our day a success and really keeping all vendors in line all the way through the end of our wedding day. She was so funny, helpful and readily available for any random questions that we may have had. Lindsay! We love you bro! BRICK as a venue itself is so so great, it's open and ready to be made into whatever you want for your special day. Pricing of the venue is also great in comparison to other venues that we looked at. Parking is ample and location is unbeatable. We would highly recommend using BRICK for any special occasion!

My husband (still getting used to that!) and I had our wedding at Brick on 5/23/25 with the help of Cassidy's expert coordinating and Sabrina's top notch staff. It's impossible to imagine anything better than our experience at Brick! The setting, the ambiance, the care and support of preferred vendors: everything was perfect. Even the weather which showed off in true San Diego fashion! We will cherish our wedding memories always thanks to the incredible team that brought it to life!

Gorgeous venue! I attended a wedding Friday and this was a lovely space! It seemed like it would fit a decent amount of people. I want to say this wedding was maybe 100 people. It was big and spacious and I loved the brick element and the garden lights up top. It seemed very customizable to what every couple would want. We had cocktail hour outside - next to traffic was slightly weird but still nice with the band the couple hired.

Wow!! BRICK was awesome. The location of the venue was perfect. Close to the airport, hotels, brewery, restaurants, and a karaoke bar. It made the entire weekend very enjoyable to plan different events for our guests. We opted to pay for the month of coordination at BRICK and worked with Lindsay. She was great!! We met often, and she was very thorough with all the details. We often changed details about our timeline, and were very particular about specific dances and videos we wanted played on the projector screen. She was able to make all of our dreams come true. We were blown away when we entered the venue the evening of our wedding. It was beautiful! The ambiance was incredible with the brick walls, string lights, candles, and greenery throughout. It felt so magical. We also booked all of our vendors through the recommendation list BRICK provided. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants to custom build their venue. It's such a great spot to have a romantic ceremony and an epic party! 10/10!

Pros: * Amazing Venue; love the brick decor * Plenty of Parking * Easy to Find * Open House showcased a lot of great vendors Cons: * Time limit on parking; according to Brick employees, it is not strictly enforced Extra: * Great Wedding Venue option

We used Brick for our wedding venue in February 2024 and I can't say enough good things about the venue or the team. I really liked that we could take the space and customize it exactly how we wanted. It was more work on our part than going with a venue that had preset vendors but the entire Brick team made the process seamless and super easy to navigate. It also made our special day more "us" because we chose the vendors we wanted and not every vendor is going to match every couples needs/personality. I definitely recommend doing a planning service with them if you choose this venue as the attention to detail is impeccable and takes alot of the pressure off the couple. From day one I knew that the team had it handled and would take care of any issues that came up throughout the planning process and the day of. They clearly communicated what needed to be done, kept us on a timeline to make sure everything was completed on time and made sure the day of that everything went seamlessly. They have a great list of vendors they provided which allowed us the option to choose what worked best for us and suited our needs. We couldn't have been happier with the vendors we chose and all in all everything came together exactly how we wanted it too. Thank you to everyone at Brick for your hard work and dedication to making our wedding everything we imagined and more!

If you're looking for a blank canvas that you can design any way you wish, BRICK is for you! The entire team at BRICK is professional, communicative, organized, and a pleasure to work with. Our guests loved the venue location, the venue itself, and the bartenders. We honestly don't think that we could have found a better venue for the price that we paid. We definitely recommend paying to have Lindsay as your wedding planner because she made the entire process stress-free! We worked with Lindsay for about 1 year and she was the absolute best to work with! We were iffy on getting a wedding planner at first, but it ended up being the best investment we made. We planned everything through virtual means (Zoom, email) which means we didn't have to physically be in San Diego, which is huge for us since we live 2 hours away! Lindsay is like the fairy godmother that magically makes all of your wishes come true! 10/10 would recommend :)

I am so happy I chose BRICK for my wedding. They made everything so easy and the location was perfect! My guests loved it and the whole vibe of the building was amazing. Lindsay really helped with making sure everything ran smoothly! Picture credit is Roses and Reeds photography

The venue itself is stunning- light-filled, elegant, and perfectly positioned overlooking the bay. It offered everything we were looking for aesthetically and logistically. Overall sentiment: This is a gorgeous venue that makes an incredible first impression. However, the experience with the venue's coordination and communication didn't live up to the beauty of the space. If you're detail-oriented or able to stay on top of planning logistics yourself, you can absolutely make it work, but if you're hoping for hands-on, consistent support from the venue team, you may want to budget for extra help. 2) Pros Beautiful location: The ceremony site overlooks the bay between palm trees, truly breathtaking and perfect for photos (though note in Sept the grass was pretty brown/dead- it's maintained by the city of San Diego, not the Point). Gorgeous interior: The reception space is full of natural light, with beautiful wooden tables (no need for linens) and a chandelier draped with greenery and lights, which helped us save on décor and flowers. Flexible vendor policy: We loved that we could choose our own caterer and bring in our own alcohol, this flexibility gave us creative control and helped manage costs. Spacious and well laid out: The venue comfortably fit around 150 guests, with smooth transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. 3) Cons Customer service inconsistencies: Communication often lagged, and we had to double-check details multiple times to make sure nothing was missed. Frequent staff changes: Our main contact kept shifting. Different team members joined calls without being fully briefed, and we occasionally received conflicting information. Day-of coordination issues: We weren't introduced to our "day-of coordinator" until a week before the wedding. She left after our grand entrance and handed us off to someone we'd never met, which felt unprofessional and confusing. The event timeline fell behind, the grand entrance was delayed by about 30 minutes, and no one notified us so we could adjust. From that point on we were late on the whole timeline, and we ended up missing "golden hour" for sunset portraits. I wish she would have approached me at the scheduled time for the grand entrance to check in with me on making it happen. Last-minute changes: Floor plans were delayed several times, and even at the rehearsal, staff were suggesting new tweaks instead of finalizing details earlier. Parking challenges: Guest parking was extremely crowded, and we weren't warned this could be an issue, which led to confusion and delays. No bridal suite/bathrooms: There is no availabiltiy to get ready on site- they don't have a bridal suite and the bathroom is a small one toilet room, or a group of stalls shared by the Mission Bay Acquatic Center- you will have to get ready offsite and then sneak into the venue through the catering entrance in the parking lot. In summary: This is a truly beautiful venue. But the organizational side could use improvement. If you're someone who can stay on top of the details (or hire a planner to help), it's absolutely worth it for the setting. Just be prepared to take the lead on coordination to ensure your day runs smoothly.

Located right on the water in beautiful Mission Bay, it offers a rare mix of indoor and outdoor space with stunning views and a relaxed, beachy vibe that's perfect for weddings, receptions, and large celebrations. What sets Tower Beach Club apart is not just its location, but how user-friendly it is. You can bring in your own vendors (like me!), which gives clients more flexibility and control over their event. It's truly just a beautiful, open canvas of a venue. The built-in bar is spacious and perfect for bartending services, and there's ample room for setups of all sizes. Another huge plus: parking! The large lot makes it incredibly convenient for guests and vendors alike--something you don't find at many venues in San Diego. The owners are also fantastic to work with--responsive, accommodating, and professional. If you're looking for a venue that's scenic, versatile, and vendor-friendly, I highly recommend Tower Beach Club. It's always a pleasure to work there, and my clients love it just as much as I do. This time around, it was just the 3 of us, to chat over some wine and apps. Had their April featured Pinot, which was amazing (had 2 glasses). It's good to keep in mind that they only sell their flatbreads on certain days and unfortunately, they didn't serve it when we went. So, instead we had the crostinis, which is perfect if you want a little bit of everything, but not sure what to get. My friend got the chicken Caesar wrap, and it was a lot bigger than expected. As far as the ambience, there's seating all around the bar that's located in the middle. So it's convenient to just walk up to the bar to place your order. Servers and bartenders were friendly and quick. Overall this is a great laid-back place for small or large groups.

First, I still really enjoy the Carruth Wine Garden. It is nice to have an outdoor space to drink wine right in the center of the city. In general there plenty of parking ,and it is dog friendly. As far as the wine, it is very good. I like some more than others. More recently, I have enjoyed the Unicorn Red Blend ( a longtime favorite) and the Syrah. I love that it is dog friendly, inside and out. My dog loves going there and she makes friends each time. A change that they made recently is that the main garden area is now child-free, which was a positive change in my options, as it had gotten a bit chaotic in the past with children not being very well supervised. The still have a family-friendly outdoor space. In the past, there was always live music when I came. I was there most recently on a Saturday evening and was disappointed that there was no music. Also, the prices have gone up ($18 per glass). Unfortunately, I found the pours to be somewhat inadequate, though it depended which staff member was pouring the wine. They do not allow for outside food, and only make certain dishes certain days of the week, which unfortunately doesn't allow for many options if you are hungry. Water is readily available inside and outside. All in all, it is a lovely place with good wine to come with friends and your 4-legged friends. It has gotten a bit pricey, and I do wish we could bring out own snacks, but I still enjoy going and am sure that I will be back.

Delicious food, great view, and wonderful hospitality!…read more On our last evening in San Diego, we went to Coasterra to wrap up our vacation there. This restaurant came highly recommended by major Visit San Diego websites, and we felt we should give it a try. Located right next to the water, the restaurant offers expansive view of the harbor and the San Diego skyline. Sitting is about 50/50 indoor vs. outdoor, and we chose the indoor sitting as it tended to get colder in the evening. Parking is available out front, but we took Lyft there. We came in around Happy Hour, and we were able to score two appetizers for $11 each. We got fried calamari and fish cervice as appetizers. For entree, we had the fish tacos and scallops. Both of the appetizers were excellent, and the cervice was so light and flavorful. My husband loved his scallop entree, and the taste and presentation were original and outstanding. My fish taco was enjoyable as well. For dessert, we had fresh churro that was paired with ice cream, which was excellent as well. Our meal came to $143 with taxes, which was a very good value with the quality and services offered. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, which made us felt right at home. As for the ambiance, it felt modern and relaxed. There were diverse customers from locals, tourists, and business people. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience and we will return.

Or hearing the n-word at work from upper management and the newly promoted manager! I have never experienced such hostile ownership and management in my life. I'm a 23-year-old ex-employee as of today, and I've worked at multiple cafes that I genuinely loved. I was excited when I got hired here because I truly love coffee, I love interacting with people, and at first this seemed like such a cool place to work. Instead, today I was wrongfully fired for speaking up about the lack of support, communication, and basic respect for employees. This job genuinely pushed me to my breaking point. Let's talk about the food and cleanliness. The food here is disgusting. As an ex-employee, I never ate here because I saw how it was prepared, how long food was left sitting out past safe temperatures, and how dirty the prep environment was. In my experience, this place violates countless health standards: rats/mice in the cafe, ants everywhere, gnats so bad we had to air out the cafe every morning just to deal with them, and a recurring bee problem on top of all of that. The owners are greedy and treat employees as disposable. I was barely trained. I was thrown into complete chaos and did my absolute best, only to be failed over and over by management. It's exhausting trying your hardest while knowing you're being set up to fail. We were expected to run a cafe doing massive volume with only 2-3 baristas on staff. For example: I once asked owner Brad to help show me how to dial in espresso shots because I had never actually been trained. His response was: "Do you have chatgpt?" I said no, because I don't use or support AI. He asked, "Do you use AI at all?" I said no again. He said "Okay," and walked away. So apparently I was expected to ask Chat gpt how to do my job instead of receiving actual training from management. That pretty much sums up this place: zero support, unrealistic expectations, and then blame falls on the employees when things go wrong. There's also a chef with a combover there who seems to enjoy bullying and intimidating young women who are trying their best. I watched him tell one of my young 20 year old girl coworkers to "shut up" in front of a customer because she made a mistake entering an order and was trying to communicate with him respectfully. And that was in front of a customer. (So the things being said behind closed doors... ) I witnessed behavior that made multiple women uncomfortable and feel unsafe. But management protects the people who kiss ass to them, so nothing changes. Today, I was fired for speaking up and asking for help. I spent my 30 minute break sobbing because of how unfairly I was being treated, the complete lack of support, and the unbelievably unprofessional management. I know Brad and Christina (The owners) will read this and try to coverup / spin the narrative for the way this business operates, but I'm sharing my honest experience, and honestly, getting this off my chest feels like a weight lifted. Please do not support this business. These are not people who care about their staff. They care about money, and that is it. I tried bringing up issues customers were having with them multitudes of time, the terrible Wi-Fi that doesn't work despite being advertised, no visible menu pricing (so customers wait in a 30-minute line only to find out a 12 oz latte is $10), chronic understaffing, and serious cleanliness concerns. I tried to help make this place better. Their response was to fire me for speaking up. Lastly, please be kind to the baristas. They are doing the best they can under horrible and extremely unethical working conditions. These employees deserve so much better. I hope people read this and choose to support coffee shops and restaurants that actually treat people with dignity and operate with integrity.
