Temps are rising in Miami and my AC didn't seem to be keeping up! On a rather unbearable afternoon, I used Yelp Request a Quote to contact a few companies. Building Comfort Air was quick to respond, could come right away, and didn't charge an inspection fee. While they didn't have any reviews, I decided to take a chance. Two technicians came that evening and inspected our unit. In the end, they didn't see anything wrong with it outside of the fact it was just pretty dirty. They quoted us for a cleaning and left us to decide. I ended up scheduling it a couple of days later which was easy. I really appreciated how communicative Eddy was via Yelp messaging, no phone call needed. The technician arrived the day of as planned and got to work. Jury is still out on the long term impact this cleaning had on our system but I'm optimistic! Overall, I would recommend my experience with Building Comfort Air. With no diagnostic fee, there's no harm in getting them out to inspect your issue! read more

In September 2025, I hired Ivannova Air Conditioner after seeing the company promoted by influencers on Instagram. I paid approximately $13,500 for a new air conditioning system. From the very beginning, my experience was extremely disappointing. The company told me they would handle all the required permits. However, after the installation was completed and payment was collected, I was informed that the City of Miami Lakes required a fence around the outdoor unit before the permit could be closed. This was never disclosed before the installation or before I paid. As a result, my permit remained open because they failed to properly complete the process they had promised to handle. Since January, I have experienced multiple problems with the system and with the company's customer service. Most of the time, they do not answer the phone. When they do answer, they promise to provide updates but never follow through. I have sent multiple emails that have gone completely unanswered. A technician came to inspect a loud noise coming from my AC unit last month. He told me the problem was simply a few loose screws. After 72 hours, the noise remained exactly the same, so I called again. At that point, the front desk employee informed me that the technician had actually reported that the condenser motor needed to be replaced. This directly contradicted what the technician had told me. It then took 28 days for the replacement part to arrive under the warranty. When another technician finally came to replace the motor, he left my home without electricity for approximately one hour and disappeared without providing any explanation. When he returned, he said he needed the old part in order to receive the replacement from his own company. I found this completely unprofessional. At no point did he warn me that my air conditioning would be shut off, despite not knowing whether there were babies, elderly people, or anyone with medical needs inside the home. After the repair was completed, the noise became even worse than before. This made me seriously question whether the part had actually been replaced. Yesterday, after receiving no response for more than 30 hours, I left work and went personally to the office listed online to seek a solution. I spoke with the front desk employee, who simply told me she had no answers for me. I politely asked her to call her manager while I waited. The manager, Eduardo Acevedo, called her and was placed on speakerphone. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, he began yelling aggressively and repeatedly ordered me to leave the office, threatening to call the police simply because I was requesting an update on my unresolved warranty claim. His behavior was completely unprofessional, aggressive, and unacceptable. Even the front desk employee appeared surprised by the way he spoke to me. Overall, this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. After the sale, communication became nearly impossible, promises were repeatedly broken, and my concerns were ignored. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone. read more

This company came to my unit, hired by the association, and yes, they fixed the pipe issue; however, they damaged my tile floor, and now they don't want to be responsible for the damage. I have spoken with David. He mentioned he spoke with the guys who did the work and confirmed that when they stall the toilet, they damage the flood, but he is not giving me any solutions. read more

BEWARE SCAMMERS. The videos and texts attached here are evidence of a week long battle with this company. They are scammers, rude and dangerous in their installation. They overcharge for their service installation for an air conditioner that Eduardo Acevedo had promised to place a better brand and then put in the cheaper on for $6000. I later found out it was actually $4000 from other vendors. He explained that his high prices included guarantee and service Right.... He has never come out and once when they did come out, he did not advise that he was coming out and I was not there. I was in an emergency urgent care during the Covid pandemic . He charged me $85 for a non visit. And he knew full well the AC was Achebe without me being present A year later, I call him because my AC shuts down won't cool and the water doesn't get through. It's true. The whole building had a water issue and was solved in one day by Pyke our building's engineers. But my apartment was the only one left with no AC for four days. And Acevedo refused to come out. We did have a problem in the building but my apartment had sludge due to a thick crust of rust of and in the pipes and it wouldn't allow the water to go through. He texted me aggressively as you can see below, that it's not his problem. It's the building, according to his friend Farinas who recommended him to me last summer when in an emergency I had to replace my AC. Today, 5 days later, after solving the issue, my property management shows me what exactly was happening to MY AC. They had called their engineers and the PM shows me the pipes that were installed by Ivannova were clogged with rust so that they're like an arterial sclerosis of my AC. My PM and Pyke say that these pipes were to blame and that they were in my AC which Eduardo Acevedo installed. Ivannova and Acevedo make money off scamming overcharging promo song one thing and delivering another and aggressive customer service or rather lack of. STEER CLEAR. read more

Our air wasn't cooling proper midday and after an FPL energy evaluation they told us we needed insulation. I requested information from BCA and Eddy was very responsive and friendly. He came out the next day and did an evaluation of the system. He determined that the insulation was sufficient and the issue was the system needed Freon. In June 2021, we signed a contract to replace our central AC unit and clean our ducts/vents. Work started on 7/3 and finished in 8/30. BCA charged $200 more to our credit card then what was on the contract. For the last 2 months, we have been patiently waiting for our refund. Today, they told us there will be no refunds and consider the $200 as a "tip for the good service". This is fraud and daylight robbery. An extremely dishonest business. read more

this company has been horrible. they showed up right away to give me estimates. after they upgraded my electrial now none of my outlets work in my kitchen or my bathrooms amd hallway. when i asked for someone to come recheck why my outlets quit working after they left. i was told that was my problem because my outlets are old. he said they would charge me a 100 to come check outlets. they wont give me any paperwork on the warranty they originally said i had. do not use this company their very shady. very unprofessional.the websight is fake. read more
