The croissant is fresh, delicious and flakey so I can tell they have a great bakery. The avocado egg sandwich was delicious, veggie-ful, and not too heavy. The frozen cafe mocha was also to die for, it was like a decadent frozen hot chocolate. I do not recommend the matcha though, as someone who likes a stronger matcha latte, their iced banana matcha latte was mostly a tall glass of milk with a hint of matcha and some banana syrup. I can't wait to go back and try more things!

(Only 2 but it still makes it a bit difficult) It's doable- but lots of moms make these decisions based on these types of details. Another patron helped us with the stairs on the way down. I said service and food was fine; both average. Nothing above nothing below. Totally fine. We asked for two high chairs and were told there was only one. I said ok we have two babies, & that was the whole conversation. it was fine we managed. If the owner has a toddler I would assume she's been to coffee with a friend and appreciated the cafe having more than one seating option for the babies. No one said anything about borrowing from Bacari.

A Decadent Father's Day Surprise!…read more For Father's Day, my son decided to surprise us with something from Artelice Patisserie, and let's just say... he absolutely understood the assignment. These pastries were not your everyday desserts--they were little works of art, and every single one was incredibly decadent and delicious. We had the Blossom, with vanilla mousse, pistachio and red berry insert, pistachio crunch, and pistachio sponge. The combination of creamy, nutty, fruity, and crunchy textures was so beautifully balanced. Every bite had something different going on, but somehow it all worked together perfectly. Then there was the Tropical Mango, made with mango and passion fruit mousse, fresh mango filling, coconut crunch, and coconut sponge. This one was such a gorgeous tropical escape! Bright fruit flavors balanced with that delicate coconut richness, and the textures made it just as interesting as it was delicious. We also had a beautiful pistachio creation with pistachio mousse, pistachio praline, pistachio and hazelnut crunch, and pistachio sponge. I'm not completely certain of the exact name because the color of ours looked a little different from the one pictured on their menu, but whatever this beauty was called, it was absolutely amazing. If you love pistachio, this one is definitely worth seeking out. What I loved most about Artelice is that these aren't simply pretty pastries. Each one feels thoughtfully constructed, with layers of mousse, sponge, crunch, fruit, and praline creating a completely different experience from bite to bite. They're rich and decadent without feeling like you're just eating one big blast of sweetness. And the presentation? Gorgeous. These are the kind of desserts that make you pause before taking that first bite because they're almost too pretty to disturb... almost. I'm always happy when my son introduces me to another great food discovery, and Artelice Patisserie was such a fun Father's Day treat. Everything we tried was unique, beautifully made, and absolutely delicious. Now I'm curious about the rest of their pastry case--which, honestly, could be dangerous for my dessert-loving self.

I think I've tried half of the menu here lol. My go to is definitely the New York roll and the mango passion fruit cruffin. I love that they change their New York roll flavours often. What really stood out for me was how well balanced the flavours are in their fillings, especially in the New York roll and the cruffin. They also do really well with their citrus combos like the cruffin, exotic or the mango eclair. I wish there was more custard in their fruit danish and sometimes the croissants aren't as soft, possibly a little overcooked. But the pastry on the cruffin was one of the softest and most delicate I've ever had. The macarons are also great especially the yuzu, passionate, hazelnut and raspberry flavours.

My husband fell in love with them in Portugal and he's been craving them ever since we got home. I'm happy to say that the pastéis de nada at Natas Pastries are just as delicious as the ones we had in Portugal. Their other breakfast food was delicious as well. I had the All American Breakfast, and the potatoes were incredible! My husband had the Breakfast Burrito with linguiça, and he loved it! We sat outside on the patio, which is a lovely place to enjoy a meal, and all of the staff was so friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back to try other things on the menu, as well as more pastéis de nada!

It's usually hard to find a bakery that is still open after 6 pm. I decided to try a variety of pastries and ordered an apple strudel, chocolate covered peanut butter bar and a large chocolate chip cookie. They had a very wide selection to choose from. My daughter ordered a lemon bar, slice of lemon cake and a small chocolate chip cookie. My first impression of the desserts that I chose was that they were sweet. I could feel the graininess of the sugar in the chocolate covered peanut butter bar. The strudel was tasty but light on the apple filling. Between the chocolate chips and sugar the cookie was sweeter than what I usually like but still a good cookie. I tried my daughter's lemon bar and I liked it. The things I tried I'm thinking 3 stars, my daughter liked the things she bought so averaging it out maybe a solid 3.5 stars rounded up to a generous 4 stars. Service was okay. Natas has a wide variety of pastries. I think the other items on the menu are more well received. I'll need to go back next time I am in town to try out some of other menu items.

While the flavor variety is awesome and they don't skimp on fillings, man are these cakes typically dry and a little dense. Had the tropical coconut pineapple cake for a friend's retirement party in December and while the price of a small cake is steep, it was very good. I was impressed! Another friend and I debated what the best berry and cream cake was. I said WholeFoods. She said SusieCakes. We taste tested. We both stood our ground on our opinions. Last weekend,I had the strawberry cake at a birthday party and it was very dry and dense. And the baby's "smash cake" never really got any deeper than the frosting layer, which leads me to believe it was also dense. While I was doing my friend the favor of picking up said birthday cakes, I noticed the pineapple coconut was back in season, so I came to SusieCakes the next day to get a slice. Very friendly staff! But very dry cake. So disappointing after paying ten dollars for a slice. Overall, the vibes are always good. The flavors are great. But the texture is just not it.

It was 7:58 a.m., and I stopped in to grab my usual coffee before my appointment next door. I accidentally left my wallet at home, my Apple Pay wasn't working, and the only cash I had was a $100 bill. My total was only $8.50. I even offered a simple solution--I asked if another employee could pay for my coffee and I would immediately Zelle them the money. All three employees told me that was "beyond their job duties" and refused to help. Instead, they pointed to the sign stating they don't accept $100 bills and had me leave without making any effort to accommodate a regular customer. The disappointing part isn't that they couldn't break a $100 bill--it's that no one showed even the slightest willingness to help find a solution. I come here almost every Friday because I have appointments at the salon next door, and after this experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. A little kindness and customer service go a long way. Unfortunately, I found neither here.

Glad they have a 85C bakery at Sherman Oaks mall (Westfield)…read more The location is smaller than the other ones I have been to. They really need more seating. Not enough. The selection isn't as good, less products, way less cakes variety. We got hod dogs buns and bacon bun for lunch. They were decent. Had better. We also got a Peach Iced Tea, we needed something refreshing. I wasn't thrilled with it, I tasted green tea too much, which I am not a fan. I will skip their iced teas for now on. OK spot for lunch, they do have sandwiches here as well and breakfast goodies. We got guava strudels to go and berry buns. Those were really good. Loyal Customer, but This Experience May Have Lost My Business…read more I've been a loyal customer of 85°C Bakery Cafe in Sherman Oaks for quite some time and buy virtually all of my baked goods here, so it's disappointing to write this review. Yesterday August 6th was my dad's 99th birthday, and I wanted to make it special. At around 10 a.m., I ordered his birthday cake through the app for a 4 p.m. pickup and used the customization option to request "Happy Birthday" writing on the cake. I arrived around 4:30 p.m. and initially there was no one at the counter. I could see an employee off to the side drinking a coffee. He saw me waiting but didn't acknowledge me and instead went to the back and sent out another employee. From the moment she came out, the interaction was surprisingly unpleasant. I explained that I was picking up the birthday cake I had ordered that morning and gave her my name. She retrieved the box and then abruptly asked, "Where's your confirmation?" I explained that I wasn't sure what she needed because I only had the email I received. I showed it to her, and after looking at it for quite a while, she said "fine" and pushed the cake box toward me. I asked whether the Happy Birthday message I requested was on the cake. She said no and that the person who does the writing wasn't there. I explained that I had placed the order that morning specifically for my dad's 99th birthday and really wanted the birthday message included. I showed my request on the order email. Instead of trying to resolve it, she began helping other customers while I was left standing there. After waiting and explaining that I was already late for my dad's birthday, she eventually went to the back, returned with a small chocolate "Happy Birthday" piece, and placed it on top of the box. That solution was perfectly fine with me--I just wish it had been handled graciously from the beginning. I then asked for a cake cutter and candles, which employees here have routinely offered with cake purchases in the past. Again, I was ignored while other customers were helped. When I repeated that I was late and needed to leave, she rolled her eyes and told me to wait until she was finished with another customer. Eventually she brought them over and simply piled everything on top of the cake box rather than putting the items in a bag. Everyone can have a bad day, and I try to be understanding of that. But the dismissive attitude, eye rolling, repeatedly ignoring me in the middle of our interaction, and general lack of courtesy were unacceptable. What should have been a simple and happy pickup for my dad's 99th birthday became unnecessarily stressful and put a real damper on my afternoon. What makes this particularly disappointing is that I wasn't an occasional customer--I've been very loyal to this bakery. I love the baked goods and have consistently chosen 85°C over other bakeries. But customer service matters too, and after this experience I'm seriously considering finding another bakery for our family's cakes and baked goods.
