I used Itty Bitty Cake Pops for two different occasions. The first was a baseball themed baby shower. They did baseball cake pops and rice Krispy treats!!! We discussed it over the phone and we discussed rice Krispy treat I was thinking squares maybe half dipped in chocolate?? To my pleasant surprise when they were delivered the cake pops were adorable baseballs and the rice Krispy treats were cut in the shape of baseballs covered in white chocolate with red icing to look like baseballs!! Everybody thought they were too cute to eat but when they did they were so happy!! Everybody went for seconds and thirds and asked where I got them!! The second time was for a big party. We ordered 150 custom cake pops shaped like The Little Miss and Little Mr books for a relaunch of their products at Fred Segal. The only complaint I have is that we didn't order 300!!! Once anyone tried one they were sticking them on the purses, hiding and hoarding them!! I don't think they lasted more than 20 minutes!! Overall Sally and Itty Bitty Cake Pops in wonderful to work with! She has creative ideas, makes a beautiful delicious product and totally delivers(pun intended) I look forward to using this company for my next event and would recommend it to anybody looking for great tasting, creative treats!!! read more

Awesome experience! I haven't used them before but decided to give them a try because of the good reviews in yelp. I have 3 daughters who constantly have birthday parties and i was always in search for a good bakery to make themed cakes. I placed an order with Sally for a custom cake over a month before my event date and had a terrible experience. Sally overcomplicates the simple and simplifies the complicated. Overcomplicates the simple: Instead of making payment easy for her customer, everything has to go through her "accounting department." This is not that big of an operation for her to refer to her "accounting department" so many times in the course of our interactions. Just let me pay and make it easy. Instead, anything extra she charges you and failures to send you a timely invoice get blamed on the "accounting department." Simplifies the overcomplicated: I ordered a custom cake from her and had something very specific in mind. When you try to explain to her exactly what you want so that there are no misunderstandings, she's distracted. Her mind seems to be elsewhere. So, I repeat myself. Then she comes back with me over and over about how I'm not her only customer and how booked she is. This was the VERY FIRST TIME I have ever used her services. For her to spend a couple extra minutes with me than average I don't think is so unreasonable. Instead, my experience was that she scribbles down your order and then doesn't want to hear from you again unless it is to pay her money. When I asked her to confirm cake details because I changed my mind on something, she told me that she was out of the office and basically that she would get back to me at her own convenience. I had every reason to be insecure with Sally. She asked me to send me the picture of the cake that I wanted on 3 different occasions. One time she asked me to send her the picture again because the picture wouldn't load on her computer and the next time she asked me to send her the picture again for convenience's sake because she didn't have the picture in front of her. When I told her that we would like the cake delivered to our party after all, she told me "We also have other deliveries. You are not the only client. I'm booked through the end of March." Multiple times she reminded me of this, "I am completely booked and am squeezing your delivery in." Instead of referring to you by your name, she calls you "sweetheart" or "hun." Her computers are never working and she expects the customer to compensate for it. When it came time to charge my card a couple days before the event, suddenly her whole electrical system shut down. For that she punishes me: instead of paying 50% deposit by credit card, she told me that I would need to send her a check for the FULL AMOUNT of the cake or else she would not begin work on the cake and I would need to find another bakery I "was more comfortable with." My response: "Okay, I'll mail you a check for half the amount but I'm expecting the cake to live up to my expectations. We still haven't confirmed changes. Do you even want my business? If not, I wish you hadn't taken my order from the beginning. It's unreasonable for you to suggest I find someone else to make the cake just a few days before my event." She wrote me back mentioning her "budget"! She probably realized the profit she would make on the cake wasn't worth the hassle or that she couldn't pull the cake off. So she was backing out shamelessly. I asked her to call me to resolve things. Instead, Sally airs all her conflicts publicly. She went on Facebook and posted some nonsense about the clever ethics of how she runs her business and how she's realized she can't please all customers despite how much she tries. In my experience, her last concern is pleasing her customer, even if its your first time using her services. You either do things on her terms or "find another bakery" There were plenty of red flags of her lack of professionalism. At one point she posted a note on Facebook saying something to the effect that for anyone who is concerned about the negative yelp review she received it was obviously ridiculous because yelp took it down. At another point, she posted a note about how people you think are going to help you only care about their own gain. Somebody angrily commented below that post. Who needs to deal with this kind of DRAMA for a stupid cake. She may churn out some good cake but why would you want to work with someone gravely lacking in class and manners. Ordered Chocolate covered Strawberries over the phone, they asked me to e-mail them with the order, then wait for an invoice, via e-mail, once received, instructed to call with credit card number, asked for a specific time to pick up, as this was Valentines day, and timing was everything. If they couldn't make this time, I would have gone somewhere else. They assured me that 5pm was fine, so I proceeded with the order. Went to there Kester location, and found it to be an apartment complex, parking was horrible, I arrived 10 minutes early, and they told me the delivery person was running 20 minutes late, not wanting to drive home, I said I would wait, they responded by saying they would bring it out as soon as it arrived. I waited on the sidewalk, outside, for 25 minutes before calling again, at this point, my Wife would be home soon, and I didn't have anything, she answered and said, I was meaning to call you but didn't have your number, then told me her delivery guy was on the 405, in traffic and was in an accident. First, I didn't know the Chocolate covered strawberries were made off site, second, I didn't know there business was in an apartment complex, with no place for clients. Talking on the phone, they offered to bring the strawberries to our house, which is also in Sherman Oaks, they arrived around 6:30pm, at the house, the Gentlemen was very apologetic, but the woman, stayed in her car and would not say anything except, "Bring the slider over and let me run the credit card, since the Gentleman was having problems with the swipe. After this entire ordeal, I was really hoping these strawberries would be a HUGE hit. On my way home, from the Kester location, I stopped by Pavilions, and picked up some Chocolate covered strawberries for $5, while driving home, my daughter called and said, MOM just arrived home! "Sigh ". Well, both my daughter and wife ate the Pavilions Strawberries and the Itty Bitty Cake Pops Strawberries, the consensus, Daughter chose the Pavilions Strawberries, wife picked the Itty Bitty Strawberries, but only by the slightest margins. Next time, I will save Money, TIME, and stress but either going to another "Actual Store" and get what I pay for, even if it is a high price, or, go to Pavilions! All in all, I'm very disappointed. Price for 6 Strawberries: $18, plus $1.62 tax, Price at Pavilions for 4 strawberries: $5.00, and, I only waited in line for a few minutes to pay! read more

She also taught me what a "smash cake" was. I live in PA and I ordered a Hello Kitty gorgeous cake and 36 Hello Kitty cake pops for my granddaughter's 9th birthday in November. A horrible experience and I have been in events for over 15 years. I ordered and paid in advance for 64 soccer looking pops for my 7 year old school bday party and was sent horrible looking pops with dots. I contacted Sally and asked for them to be fixed which she agreed. at 10pm at night I was delivered the pops with only a few of them having been corrected and ten pops short. She didnt offer to make it right, she called me a liar and I had to go to starbucks to buy the additional pops. I have a live in housekeeper, nanny and husband that counted them. If I just wanted my money back I would have done that the first time, where was I going get 64 pops the night before? I went to the trouble to buy grass trays and printed colored cards, which to further her lack of professionalism, she posted a photo with my seven year old sons name on it. I have taken it up with my bank, have a cease and desist drawn up from my lawyer and just out of principle will be taking her to small claims court. I hope the small amount of money or effort that it would have taken to make this either right or go away was worth the fight for her.
