Here in the dining room with Ice!
    Danilo U.

We learned about this family restaurant from the documentary on Netflix. Such an amazing story and such an amazing dog. Their story inspired us to visit Lake Como and all I can say is that experience is another amazing story. We capped our time here with lunch at Ittiturismo Mella and we came away very impressed. I recognized Rosy and Yuri from the documentary and saw pictures of Ice around the dining room. My wife, Karen, ordered the Gnocchi and I had the fish and chips. The food was delicious! We also had espresso and finished the meal with some panna cotta. Then we heard barking coming from the back of the restaurant. It was Ice! I think he's more famous than George Clooney around here. Another party of 2 came in after us from Australia that also wanted to meet Ice. Rosy was gracious enough to bring him out and we had a chance to meet him! Wonderful food and amazing people. If you haven't seen their story you owe it to yourself to learn about Lake Como and, most importantly, the people that make this a special place. We will be back! Thanks for having us. Good boy Ice!

This restaurant is a hidden gem! This small family run establishment, has cozy ambiance right on the water. They offer a relatively large menu but specialize in fish freshly caught by the owner in Lake Como! I ordered the full tasting menu, with 4 bite sized apps, a risotto and fresh grilled fish with vegetables. We also tried several other items on the menu. Everything was delicious. The service is fantastic and mostly family which offers such an authentic feel. If you'd like to venture off the touristy paths, this is definitely the place to try!

Lovely restaurant in Bellagio with the cutest outdoor terrace plus delicious food!…read more We had a reservation at this restaurant on a weekday night, and I would definitely recommend getting a reservation if you can since it was quite busy when we were there. We ended up getting seated right at the edge of the vine-covered terrace overlooking the beautiful Salita Serbelloni which just gave such a romantic vibe overall. All of the food we had was phenomenal. We started with the roasted octopus and potato gnocchi, both of which were very tasty with great flavors. The octopus was cooked perfectly, and I also loved the ragu sauce that went with the gnocchi. Then, my fiance and I had their fish of the day which they cook up in front of you, and it was served with seasonal vegetables and roasted potatoes. This was absolutely delicious -- the fish was tender and so fresh!

I think partly it was that our general online research offered a lunch menu that was a la carte, but they only had a prefix menu when we were dining there. In the end, I personally feel like this is more 3.5 stars, and what made it just shy of 4 stars was that the prefix menu felt like a cash grab. The dishes themselves were hit or miss (eg the cacio e pepe dish was subpar and the flavor wasn't great) but we had a beef tartare that was pretty good!

He and his sous chefs Jacob and Michael are true professionals. Lucca was able to adapt to our kitchen without missing a beat. For the cooking class, he taught us how to prepare: fresh pesto, handmade pasta (tagliatelle), branzzino, calamari, bruschetta, mussels and clams, and a beautiful chocolate cake. For the private dinner, he prepared: smoked tuna, octopus salad, seared fish and tiramisu. We also ate at their restaurant which was homely and very local. The menu is not in English, a good sign! Highly recommend eating at their restaurant at the very least!

It wasn't very busy and everyone there was Italian. The waitress didn't speak English and there was no English menu. Our meal was delightful. My husband and I each had a pasta dish. Both were delicious, simple, homestyle italian cooking with very fresh ingredients. It was the perfect first lunch on our vacation. The atmosphere is so relaxing. There is an outdoor terrace with a partial view on the lake and no one else is around because it is not located in a touristy area. Prices were excellent. I wish we could have eaten there again before we left. I definitely recommend it for those who are looking for great authentic casual Italian food. Yum!!

This place was pretty special. It's a third generation family owned hotel and restaurant,…read morespecializing in fine Italian cuisine and seafood. Our server, whose last name was Silvio, is a part of that family history. He was pushy and a bit bossy about what we should and shouldn't order, what we could and couldn't drink, and flat out overrode us on a number of our choices. The only thing he was wrong about was the rabbit ragout, and he saw how disappointed we were when he bullied us into not ordering it...that he said he had made an extra one for us "by mistake," in effect giving us a pricey but free dish. The food was extraordinary. The standouts were the rice and fish as well as the rabbit. The desserts were also delicious. The joint specializes in fish, so get as much of that as you can.

The friendly staff apologized and recommended restaurant Silvio, they said the food was amazing and that they would still be open. When we arrived at the restaurant it was now 9:50, the restaurant was about to close at 10pm. The friendly and accommodating staff did not hesitate for one moment and graciously welcomed our party of 5 to a table. They encouraged us to place our orders since the kitchen would be closing soon. We never once felt rushed, the friendly staff chatted with us and shared a laugh or two while offering plate recommendations. That is not even the best part, the food began to arrive and we quickly realized just how amazing this dinner was going to be. My husband and I shared the fried fish over rice as it's for two, absolutely delicious! My daughters ordered the tagliatelle with tomato sauce with cheese (omg wow! My 4 year old devoured the plate without a word!) my lucky husband was given a bite and said it was the best pasta he's ever had. My other daughter aged 6 ordered the white fish special they had and it was cooked perfectly and every bite was full of flavor. My mother ordered the suckling pig, slow roasted for countless hours, melts in your mouth, bursting with flavor and the most amazing sauce. My mom usually hates sauce, always asks for it on the side and usually never eats it. She practically licked the plate. As if that wasn't enough, we ordered the crème brûlée, chocolate molten cake, their famous vanilla gelato with tangerine flavors and apple crumble desserts. Thank goodness we were able to walk off our food. We are only here for a few days and with all of the amazing restaurant choices we can't wait to come back. Do yourself a favor and have the best experience at restaurant Silvio!

Food: 5 Value: 5 (arguably a 6/5)…read moreService: 5 Ambiance: 3.5 The single greatest Italian cuisine meal I've eaten to date. We found this restaurant through Google Reviews and generally had high hopes, but were blown away by the experience. We ordered salads to share, drinks, and pasta before a tiramisu - I went for a seafood pasta (see pictures) and negroni. We definitely could have avoided getting the two salads; portions were massive and we ended up not finishing either salad. My main course was delicious. The pasta had a zesty, fresh flavor between the lemon, olive oil, parsley and tomato, but the welcome surprise was seeing mounds of mussels, clams and shrimp inside the dish (I'm from New York and expected maybe 10 total) that took me almost 5 minutes to deshell before I went to town on it. Cocktails were excellent - hard to see from the photos but huge and delicious. Resulted in a great midday buzz. Limoncello spritz was also good but perhaps too strong for a lunchtime drink. Other courses ordered: - Lamb ravioli - Had 1-2 bites and tasted good, but probably a 3.5-4. Not really up to my palate and compared to my own entree, hard to beat :) - Carbonara - Solid. Incredibly rich and this was an entree where the large portions actually hurt more than helped - Salads - Hard to tell bc I was full of pasta Minor ding if anything is the ambiance. It's a block or so away from the crazy shore of Como but still was getting a bit loud by the time we left. Not a real complaint and didn't affect our experience, but if you're looking for a more quiet and relaxed experience you might want to go to a less touristy area. Thank you for a lovely meal!
