Very good, very accommodating with our party of 8. Desserts were amazing. Next to the lake but not a scam like most of them.

I had the chance to explore Como this past summer, this place was recommended by our Airbnb host and WOW! After spending a week in the Como area this is by far my favorite restaurant in the area. Their food, service and location are, well perfect is the only word I can describe this place. We got really lucky they were able to squeeze us in inbetween reservations, they are usually booked a few days out so I would highly recommend make a reservation if you know you are going to be in the area. And another tip for traveling in Italy, aperitif is a drink most people have before dinner. And Aperol spritz is probably the most well known. But my favorite is actually Hugo spritz, its a mix of St Germaine, Prosecco and mint. It's a great refreshing drink in the afternoon and before dinner, ask for it if you are ever in the region!

On our day trip to Lake Como from Milan we stopped by La Vita e Bella to get some lunch. This restaurant is located across the street from where we disembarked off the ferry arriving from Bellagio. Amazingly in Italy this restaurant isn't really known for their Italian food. It is famous for its massive amazing salads and they have more than 50 choices. We ended up ordering a salad and an entree. We ordered: -shrimp mango salad -penne pasta with red sauce The shrimp mango was huge literally the plates are like Cheesecake Factory and I think one salad was more than enough for both of us but being in Italy I had to try an Italian dish so it was penne pasta which also turned out to be really really good. The food was awesome and pricing is very decent for such a tourist destination. Como is a small town and very walkable. After lunch we strolled through the town center, checked out the cathedral and walked to the railway station to head back to Milan. 5 star place check it out if in Lake Como.

Great place to stop by for a bite when in Como. Plentiful selection of salad with fresh ingredients and pasta/meat/seafood options. They also offer Buddha bowl which I didn't try but look heavenly and healthy. The restaurant fills up quick so be early or else there is a long wait for food. The outdoor seating is nicely decorated with faux plants on the top. The windows can be opened to get in extra breeze while half the party can have beautiful views of the lake and mountain. We tried the strawberry peach feta salad which I liked. It had a simple vinaigrette. I ordered the beef with grilled veggies which was yummy. Other items in the party included paella (the rice was too aldente for my taste but there was plenty of seafood), vongole (delicious with nice wine aroma in the pasta) and a creamy pasta.

Reasonably tasty, health-conscious Italian food at very reasonable prices. They have over 50 different types of salads to choose from. I ordered their lasagna (which the waiter had recommended). It was a bit dry and could have used more sauce. Great location, and good value for what you pay. But if you're looking for incredible food, look elsewhere.

Perfect pizza after a long day on the water... although they also serve wagu beef wrapped in 24k gold. The place has its own courtyard so do you don't feel so cramped like most restaurants in town. The staff was great and they provided a table for our party of 4 without reservations - so grateful. It's also a short walk from the Hilton hotel so that was a big bonus for us.

Excellent salads and gnocchi! The aranci salad with fresh orange, fennel, pine nuts, feta cheese, and honey was stellar. The flavors balanced well. It was a little sweet, a little salty, and plenty crunchy. The gnocchi was soft and the ragu was light yet bursting with flavor. Wine and yummy desserts are available, too! It's definitely worth the wait!

A great spot to eat in Como with a HUGE variety of salads, pastas, and seafood. Be ready to wait as the place is crowded.

Horrible service and food. Served us rotten food and didn't not exchange our food. Do not recommend.

Delicious food at reasonable prices. Many choices and the seafood was so fresh. Although busy, the service was timely and friendly.

The cocktails are inventive, elevated, and layered with thought, yet the atmosphere is relaxed and elevated while also unpretentious. Andrea, the owner, is part mad scientist (he has his chemistry set in the front window) and part storyteller. He crafts flavor profiles with house-made natural extracts that feel both novel and perfectly balanced. We had a blast geeking out with him about spirits while Satish and the rest of the team kept the night lively with warm hospitality and a bit of history woven into every pour. The naturally flavored home made welcome apertif and little bites were a charming touch, but the real highlight was realizing this wasn't just a drink, it was a total experience. Tonight's serendipitous nightcap was magical and we'll be back... again and again.

I also forgot to mention that they infuse and subsequently diffuse their own alcohols, alongside making a chamomile based bitters with a 150 year-old recipe.

It also couldn't have looked more inviting. We chose to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. It wasn't a sunny day but the outdoor seating did provide shelter from the misty rain. The waiter took our order (one Valtellinese pizza) and shortly our food arrived. I found it a nice touch that the kitchen split the pizza in half so we could share it easily. We were also given plates and silverware. L'Ambrosiano is no ordinary cafe. It's a bit classier. The pizza was delicious and covered amply in braseola and mushrooms. The sauce was slightly sweet and brought the whole pizza together. I did enjoy eating my pizza with a fork and knife, a far cry from folding it in half and eating with hands New York style. What a great way to enjoy Como. It topped off our morning of silk scarves, cloud bread, gardens, and farmers markets.

The spicy salami was actually spicy and was extra crisped which is actually how I prefer it. The bruschetta was very good and big portion. I give it three stars because it's more expensive than any other pizza I ate in Italy and there was nothing to justify that - the food was simple nothing fancy, it was not memorable, and I wouldn't go back.
