It also couldn't have looked more inviting. We chose to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. It wasn't a sunny day but the outdoor seating did provide shelter from the misty rain. The waiter took our order (one Valtellinese pizza) and shortly our food arrived. I found it a nice touch that the kitchen split the pizza in half so we could share it easily. We were also given plates and silverware. L'Ambrosiano is no ordinary cafe. It's a bit classier. The pizza was delicious and covered amply in braseola and mushrooms. The sauce was slightly sweet and brought the whole pizza together. I did enjoy eating my pizza with a fork and knife, a far cry from folding it in half and eating with hands New York style. What a great way to enjoy Como. It topped off our morning of silk scarves, cloud bread, gardens, and farmers markets.

The spicy salami was actually spicy and was extra crisped which is actually how I prefer it. The bruschetta was very good and big portion. Their beer selection is surprisingly decent (a few on draft, including an IPA for my hop-head husband) and delicious wine by the glass or the bottle. My favorite part about this spot are the delicious snacks served complimentary with every drink. Most bars will give you a bowl of chips or peanuts, but Cornobobo pulls out all the stops with a board full of salami, cheese, focaccia, gherkins, and peanuts. Yes, please!
