We took the boat from Lugano to Gandaria and after wandering through the narrow alley like streets and climbing up and down the narrow staircases we walked back towards the pier and stopped by this restaurant for a bite to eat. They had a wonderful covered terrace with a fantastic view of the lake. The hospitality of the staff was great and the food was just as good. We could have stayed all day and enjoyed our time looking out at the mountains and water, you could tell others were doing just that as many lingered and even one family was playing cards. Our group tried the specialties of the restaurant the filet de perche and seafood risotto for two. The fish was perfect, but the risotto was amazing. There was enough for three people, so our friends gave us a few bites. I was having some food envy. Also, everyone in the restaurant appeared to get a free brushetta dipped in olive oil and topped with a tomato topenade prior to their meals. All of this went very well with the house made Sangria which was perfect. Afterwords, we enjoyed a tasty espresso. Plus, following the meal with the bill we received a free sip of Limoncello each. read more
