So my fellow Werewolf of London, also known as Shana, my wife, and I were out for a anniversary/Spooky season weekend staycation. We stayed in the Domain and hit up stores, bars, and whatever caught our eye while dressed up as Werewolves of London. This place we just popped into on whim after a good dinner and some drinks. It is a cool place with your normal candy, Bulk candy, and some funny pun type candy. They had cereal sized boxes of some types of candies. It is crazy. They do carry an assortment of other things like Pokémon plushies, socks, and non candy items but it is called It'Sugar so the main selling point is all the types and variations of candy. The assistance is not great, I think there were 2 people working? Both stayed at the counter, they were not mean but they were not super friendly or helpful, lucky for us we were just passing through. We didn't stay long, found a Phampy for the former Teen as a funny gift and took off not long after. So it was a quick visit and didn't go over everything. Not much else to say. Lots of Candy, wasn't busy when we went in, but as we were leaving several kids were coming int.

All the sugar in the world! Scoopables are by the pound,1/2,1/4. But with all the chocolate rocks, jelly beans, mega jelly bears, it adds up quickly. And then you see all the cute, colorful, soft, merchandise that you want it all! Next is, all the funny messages you see around check out, like the 'kiss my peachy hearts' or the 'Dad Bods', 'PMS emergency kit' or the 'what do lesbians eat?!'mints.... Final stop is the check out, costing you an arm, because you want it all. And then there are little treasures there like bright colored pop-it's, and support a cause- star shaped rainbow lollipops. And then on your way out, your kids see more.. and then you don't want to leave this place, as it seems such a happy place for them. A heaven! A sweet heaven! It's sugar!

    Hard at work

Strong weed stench in here. I wonder how much of tue product absorbs it. Think I'll pass. Besides, all staff look busy.

You have to look... At first it is going to appear like any other bulk buy candy store, but if you spend just a bit of time you're going to find some hidden gems (hilarious stuff) in here. We were just wandering around the north side Domain, and have passed by IT'SUGAR bunches of times before, so this time we decided to stroll on in... I really was stuffed from our dinner and had 0 desire for candy but once I started looking I couldn't stop... I mean who sells Unicorn Poop candy?! Or Dingle Bearies? They even have a thong made up of edible candy like the old candy bracelets... a bra too! Once I started looking I was caught up in the complete uniqueness of the selection!! And the down right hilarity! There is more then just candy in here... cups, stuffed animals, magnets, games, etc. The service was over the top... I mean constantly being asked if we needed help... it was almost too much.... But seriously it was such great fun! I had to resist from buying so many different things just because of how funny they were... I guarantee we will be back... I know a few friends who would just die laughing at some of this stuff! And hey... who doesn't need a bag full of Unicorn Poop?!?

Really cool specialty shop, if you have a sweet tooth you won't find things like this anywhere else in your travels! Fun to window shop, get gifts, or treats for yourself - a bit pricey but have to go once.

Just in time for Valentines Day lol

Do you like candy? Do you like novelty items too? Would you like to see big pieces of candy? Well this may be the place for you. I walked in and immediately spotted the various candy you can bag up and buy by the pound. I went ahead and started bagging up some candy. I walked around and saw the hilarious candy items just in time for Valentines Day. They made me laugh...maybe a little too hard. I loved them. I also thought to myself, that it's interesting that there isn't a sign that says "For Adults Only" or anything like that. I may have just missed it. Just picture items like they would have in Spencer's, but inside a candy store. The liquor candies did have a sign indicating you must be 21 or over to purchase. Do you remember that SNL skit with Justin Timberlake? That was my favorite part of this store. Dying of laughter remembering the music video that was on SNL since they have these items on the back wall of the store. These items make excellent gag gifts for all my friends. The icing on the cake was the adorable Pusheen stuffed animals. Excellent service. The cashier here was really nice and helpful. I can't wait to go back and see the new items they may have. Who wouldn't want a five pound gummy bear or funny candy item?

This place was so cute! The novelties were hilarious and I was tempted to buy ALLLLLLL of the foreign candies. They have the sample boxes with all of the Japanese snacks and humongous boxes of all of your favorites. The prices were reasonable and the location is perfect... you can't help but pop in the store from all of the colors and candies at the front entrance. My all time favorite items were the big plush toy foods that came as hamburgers, fries, and drinks. Some of the items are inappropriate for kids so just be sure to keep an eye out on what your children are looking at lol. I will spare the photos and descriptions (you have to go see for yourself and I promise you will get a good laugh). @VeganTastesGoodATL on IG

If you're looking for a one stop shop for candy, then look no further than here! I heard of this store on the radio and we decided to stop by after dinner. It's looks like it's a fairly new store and a very colorful one at it. Literally felt like a kid in a candy shop! They have numerous assortment of candy. You can grab a bag of candy and mix and match ($3.49 for 1/4 pound) or buy the pre-packaged candy. They are known for the super sized candy bars. I was pleasantly surprised that they had unique candy there too, some from back as a child that I thought was discontinued. Some candy and drinks from television shows too. They even had candy toys and gag gifts. It was a fun experience walking around seeing them all. Stop by if you have a sweet tooth!

*WARNING TO PARENTS* There is an R-rated adult gift section at the back of the candy shop. A solidly OK candy store. They sell giant candy boxes for $10 each. Candy is ~$3.50/ 1/4 lb, which is a bit on the high side. An average and not extensive candy selection. The candy does sit in the bins so it gets stale (the hard candies get soft and the soft/gummy candies get hard) unless it was freshly replaced. They have novelty items (sassy magnets/mugs/hand sanitizers/mints) and gag gifts (adult section) and plushies. A decent sized Asian candy section (hi-chew, pocky, ramune, hard candies). Last year they sold candy corn made with honey and sugar instead of corn syrup, delicious and great for people with corn allergies. Overall it's a clean, mildly entertaining to browse candy shop with nothing that makes it stand out.

A gummy pickle! Goes to show how unique the items are here! Where else have you seen a gummy pickle? Exactly :)

Unbelievably, we had never been here despite living so close, and since they're closing we felt obligated to go in and try it. The place has been around since 1-8-8-5!! We probably didn't get the most legitimate experience because of the crowds. We waited outside for 20 minutes and then inside for another 20 minutes just to be able to get some chocolates from the counter. The whole situation seemed a bit discombobulated and parking was a nightmare, but everyone around us was in a good mood and chatty, so the atmosphere was pleasant. Some of their items are lame, like repackaged watermelon sour patch kids for $9 (!). But of the chocolate from the case that we got, all were really good: the truffles and chocolates are not Big City good, but for a sweet lil shop on Airport Road, no complaints. We also stocked up on a couple boxes of their famous Longhorns and pecan pralines. We asked about merchandise and they didn't have any currently in stock, which was kind of a bummer because we're not planning on going back. Three stars, but a wistful three, and we wish them nothing but the best before the final chocolate curtain falls.

Cars zoom past like they're running away for their lives, but I risked my life for the giant squirrel statue sitting on the side of the road. What is this thing and what is the store attached to it? I had to see. Birthday weekend energy. Inside, the first thing that hits you is that massive pecan scented candle filling the whole store. They did this on purpose. It feels like a cozy Hallmark movie. The place smells delightful and that scent makes you want to buy something. Makes you ready to sample everything in sight. You deserve this. The store has everything: pecan pies, pecan candy, shelled/unshelled pecans, jams, jellies, hot sauces, toys, Texas branded/themed everything...you name it. It's all specialty, all cute, and all priced like it. I grabbed my niece two grenade-shaped hot sauces from "The General" brand because they were trendy and hilarious. But YIKES...Fifteen dollars each. Why, why, WHYYYYYYYY???? I gently reminded myself that Christmas is coming and delusion is part of the season. The staff was unbelievably friendly. They nudged you to sample this, try that, taste this. But beware because that southern hospitality will have you spending money you know you shouldn't or know you don't have. Once the total in my head started climbing, I called it and marched to the register before I got reckless. All in all, it's a fun little stop to stretch your legs, snack on some samples, and pick up something quirky. Pace yourself!
