Every possible candy imaginable was before my very eyes - chocolates, every form of tootsie roll, giant blow pops and jaw breakers, gummies - every flavor to name just a few. My insatiable sweet tooth settled on milk chocolate covered cashews... those are healthy...correct? Hahaha! The milk chocolate was smooth coupled withe crunchiness of the cashews. So my fellow Werewolf of London, also known as Shana, my wife, and I were out for a anniversary/Spooky season weekend staycation. We stayed in the Domain and hit up stores, bars, and whatever caught our eye while dressed up as Werewolves of London. This place we just popped into on whim after a good dinner and some drinks. It is a cool place with your normal candy, Bulk candy, and some funny pun type candy. They had cereal sized boxes of some types of candies. It is crazy. They do carry an assortment of other things like Pokémon plushies, socks, and non candy items but it is called It'Sugar so the main selling point is all the types and variations of candy. The assistance is not great, I think there were 2 people working? Both stayed at the counter, they were not mean but they were not super friendly or helpful, lucky for us we were just passing through. We didn't stay long, found a Phampy for the former Teen as a funny gift and took off not long after. So it was a quick visit and didn't go over everything. Not much else to say. This is a warning to any who come here. I visited this candy store on 7/28/24 and (warning) threw up after eating their candy. I was with someone else and we ate all the same things beside the candy, so this is how I know what it was from. It makes me sick to even think about what caused this, considering the bins were loookg iffy and the candy was stale. I partially blame myself for trusting the candy here. The gummy candy wasn't bad, but all the chocolate was stale. I didn't even have that much because it started to make my stomach hurt and just a few hours later I got seriously sick. After being "sick" I was fine. Such a weird and disgusting experience. Will never return, obviously, but just warning anyone else. Maybe wait a few days for them to restock stuff. Service was fine. You have to look... At first it is going to appear like any other bulk buy candy store, but if you spend just a bit of time you're going to find some hidden gems (hilarious stuff) in here. We were just wandering around the north side Domain, and have passed by IT'SUGAR bunches of times before, so this time we decided to stroll on in... I really was stuffed from our dinner and had 0 desire for candy but once I started looking I couldn't stop... I mean who sells Unicorn Poop candy?! Or Dingle Bearies? They even have a thong made up of edible candy like the old candy bracelets... a bra too! Once I started looking I was caught up in the complete uniqueness of the selection!! I walked in and immediately spotted the various candy you can bag up and buy by the pound. I went ahead and started bagging up some candy. I walked around and saw the hilarious candy items just in time for Valentines Day. They made me laugh...maybe a little too hard. I loved them. I also thought to myself, that it's interesting that there isn't a sign that says "For Adults Only" or anything like that. I may have just missed it. Just picture items like they would have in Spencer's, but inside a candy store. The liquor candies did have a sign indicating you must be 21 or over to purchase. Do you remember that SNL skit with Justin Timberlake? That was my favorite part of this store. Dying of laughter remembering the music video that was on SNL since they have these items on the back wall of the store. These items make excellent gag gifts for all my friends. This place was so cute! The novelties were hilarious and I was tempted to buy ALLLLLLL of the foreign candies. They have the sample boxes with all of the Japanese snacks and humongous boxes of all of your favorites. The prices were reasonable and the location is perfect... you can't help but pop in the store from all of the colors and candies at the front entrance. My all time favorite items were the big plush toy foods that came as hamburgers, fries, and drinks. Some of the items are inappropriate for kids so just be sure to keep an eye out on what your children are looking at lol. It's looks like it's a fairly new store and a very colorful one at it. Literally felt like a kid in a candy shop! They have numerous assortment of candy. You can grab a bag of candy and mix and match ($3.49 for 1/4 pound) or buy the pre-packaged candy. They are known for the super sized candy bars. They have novelty items (sassy magnets/mugs/hand sanitizers/mints) and gag gifts (adult section) and plushies. A decent sized Asian candy section (hi-chew, pocky, ramune, hard candies). Last year they sold candy corn made with honey and sugar instead of corn syrup, delicious and great for people with corn allergies. What?? No change??? I went there with my son to buy candy and when we checked out the cashier said that they had no change. The overpriced 3 bags of candy came to $16.74 and he wanted to round it up to $17.00. No thanks! So I had him charge the $0.74 to my credit card. Granted, this is a minor complaint, but if this happens to all of the customers for the entire day or week(s) it's a rip-off. In addition to that, we were watched like a hawk during our visit even though there were 3 or 4 other customers in the store at the time. When he realized I was watching him watching us, we quickly went to the back (probably to make sure his security camera was working) and quickly returned to watch us more. Imagine 7:50pm on a Monday(9/11), my parents are visiting for my fathers birthday. My mom wants her candy fix on our way back to the car, so we stop into "it's sugar"... the guy out front smoking a vape or cigarette happens to be the employee in charge for the night (we should have known better than to enter into an empty establishment, with the employee smoking out front)... The guy out front decides to stand in front of the place with an angry look on his face like a bar bouncer, watching our every move. He never welcomes us into the place, or says hello. As my mother picks out some candies, I notice some taped signs on each shelf. My immediate reaction as a business owner is "you should never tape signs onto a shelf, they may possibly be struggling"...the "bouncer" employee takes offense as if I am saying something negative about the business, (which I was not talking "trash", I just made a comment to the people I was with. I actually think the place is quite charming); he yells across the store saying "we are taking inventory, so before you keep talking trash about my store, you should know that". He had a true piss poor attitude, that clearly indicates the employee knows absolutely nothing about proper customer service. I'm sorry but this charming little kid friendly place will be totally be destroyed by employees like this. I suggest an employment training program, and a slower hiring process. Very fun candy store with a lot of cool things to check out. They have the requisite bins of candy you can pick out and buy them by the pound. But what makes them cool is the other things they have, like several giant candy pieces. Giant chocolate bars, kisses, and other things. They even have candy sushi and candy cakes. I stopped in here recently and was super excited that there was a candy store at the domain finally (there are actually multiple candy stores in this area). Instantly fell in love with the place because of all the variety of items. It just makes you happy when you get in there. I can only imagine what children feel like going in here.They have a bunch of special items, like KidRoBot Yummy world items. I selected a few items to purchase and waited in line. This is where the whole experience went downhill. They had two registers opened and only one of them accepted card. The lady that had been in line at the credit card register was there for at least 10-15 minutes prior to me even getting in line. I didn't know that only one machine was accepting credit cards until I had already bagged my candy, otherwise I would have left. They couldn't even get the register situation figured out. It was a nightmare, they had to manually enter in each barcode... sigh. I ended up putting back all of my other items and just get the candy and resorted in paying in cash. I was at store It Sugar locates in Domain, Austin on 6.25.19 around 6 pm and I left my Louis Vuitton wallet in store by register and next morning I realized I was missing my wallet and called the store and the store clerk said that she put it in mail box to be mailed back to me. I had $600 my ID and 2 credit cards in there. I asked her if this is store policy and she said no it was the only logical thing to do. I contacted Emily the district manager and she told me that the clerk saw money and the ID in my wallet before she dropped it in mail box. After hours of searching and reaching the post office Emily was able to locate the cards ONLY at the post office but the wallet and the cash was gone. I am staying in Austin for few days vacation and my day plan with 6 kids was ruined and I was not able to drive or had any money to do anything. This is unacceptable and they told me it's my fault to leave my wallet in the store. I will never step in there ever again. read more

I like sour candy so I decided to pop in while we were checking out the new stores in the domain. The store feels corny with its overpriced, comicly oversized candies, and sort of a Spencers in the mall feel to it with its goofy food related gag gifts also for sale but there is a passable selection of candy, albeit nothing too unique besides perhaps a couple different gummy bear flavors.
