Detox miso soup. Glass noodles, tofu, seaweed, 4x vegetable gyoza. Yummy and would reorder
    malea f.

Really enjoyed this as a super quick, light, and healthy takeaway option for dinner. I had the 6 piece salmon sushi and the detox miso soup and it was perfect. Cost was £10.64. I would definitely order again. The salmon sushi had a dab of wasabi on the rice which I had to scrape off but the fish was fresh and the rice wasn't mushy. The detox soup was yummy and filling. Lots of glass noodles, tofu, seaweed, and 4 veggie gyoza. The gyoza did fall apart in the broth so I recommend taking them out and eating them separately. The broth was missing something so I added some soy sauce soaked ginger to the broth for extra flavor and it was perfect!

    Thai Noodles

First impression, not Japanese whatsoever. However, I wanted something hot and fast to eat so I got the Thai Noodles and the Chargrilled Chicken Udon. Something that was cool was that these noodles were served in ice cream like pints which was pretty memorable and cute. Thai Noodles- It had potential, but didn't quite make the cut. The sauce was way too sweet, but had Thai flavors. The only reason this was remotely Japanese was because of the "udon" which wasn't thick enough to be called udon. Adding peas into the noodles just made it even more sweet. I would have appreciated it either being a soup or a dry noodle because there was too much sauce to be a soup or a dry noodle. Chargrilled Chicken- I appreciated the meat in the dish, but weirdly, this tasted kind of like the Thai Noodles. They both had similar flavors which made it more Thai than Japanese. There was a lot of vegetables and the ratio of vegetables to noodles wasn't ideal. Honestly, I wouldn't come here again. It had potential, but didn't execute it will.

I LOVE this place. Clearly labeled vegan options, and several of them. I just got a pre-made sushi platter from the refrigerated case but it was amazing. My friends got soup and rice bowls (made to order) and they liked those as well. The prices were really reasonable and the location was convenient. Really cute decor. Clean overall, and clean bathrooms.

Veggie combo minus a few pieces cause I ate them!

I came here for a quick takeaway lunch. It was packed around noon, but I was able to pick up a quick veggie sushi plate and be on my way. I ended up getting a plate of 12 pieces of sushi, side salad and 4 gyoza. All in all I think I paid about 6 pounds. Great quick, fresh and delicious sushi for lunch! Note: I only gave Itsu 4 stars instead of 5 stars because there was no wasabi or ginger included in my plate. Soy sauce was included, but I would have liked to see some wasabi and ginger.

Vegetable Dumpling Noodles, Sushi, and Rice Crackers

Walking around on our first day in London, of course we got hungry. And to my surprise, there were quite the number of fast food chain type of Japanese/Noodles places. We decided on Itsu because it looked clean and it was the closest thing to the London Tourist Center in Picadilly Circus. Generally, I am a bit fearful of sushi (raw fish) sitting in some cool container just waiting. I was even a bit more fearful as I wasn't too sure of how clean London restaurants are. But suffice it to say, I took a chance because...well...the sushi looked really good and it even came with salad. Because my mom and I were sharing the meal, we also ordered a vegetable dumpling soup, which was more than enough, even for 2 people. As mentioned, the sushi came with a salad that was quite refreshing with it's light dressing and sunflower seeds. The sushi itself was pretty fresh, and I adored the little soy sauce containers they gave us. Not your average foil pack like here in the States. All the soups came in 2 different sizes, except the vegetable dumpling soup. It just came in a large. I guess they figured if you are a vegetarian, you do need to eat more. But the dumplings were yummy, the veggies nice and fresh, and the sunflower seeds seemed to make their way also into the soup, making it really nice. I did find the soup a little on the salty side, but oh well. For our first meal in London, it wasn't bad at all. And I figured, if I couldn't find anything else to eat, I'd definitely eat here again.

I want to give 0 star if possible. It's definitely the worst meal I had in London. Try another restaurant if possible.

I went to Itsu for lunch and I must admit, I prefer Yo! Sushi. Prices are about the same but food quality at Yo!Sushi is better.

I went to a few places, and finally got seated at Atari-ya. With 45 mins left before the movie and a hungry belly, we managed to chow down some really yummy Japanese food. If we were to say purely based on food quality, I'd give it a 3.5. Food quality is very fresh, but the presentation /cut of fish is a bit "fast-food-ish", not top notch. Based on price/quality/quantity comparison, I think it's a perfect Japanese place for a hungry belly without breaking the bank. However, the most impressive thing is their fast and quality service. Water fill? no problem. more ginger? Ok coming right up. Ponzu sauce? Right away! Bomb!

There are so many other alternatives that overshadow here in both quality and price.

The price is much higher than other takeaway sushi, including Waitrose's Sushi Daily. It was fine and did admittedly taste fresher and better than Wasabi and Itsu. The portion of fish was also more generous in terms of the salmon to rice ratio. Ultimately though I thought the rice was just...very bland. I like sushi rice to be seasoned with rice vinegar and sugar and this was not. It fulfilled my sushi craving for lunch but I wouldn't get it again. Also, the set I got I thought was on the better end "value" wise. Their sushi ends up getting pretty pricey depending on what you get.

The imaginatively titled Sushi & More served up the basics of what we were jonesing for on a Friday night in London: rolls, tempura, edamame for the kiddo. I thought the service was friendly -- they were planning to close at, like, 7pm, but the cook -- likely an owner -- threw together a special order for us. Their prices start from £5 for the main dishes. There is sushi, appetisers and Japanese soft drinks to go with your order as well. I went for the Chicken Katsu Curry (priced at £5.50) and it came in a bowl and the portion was good for it's price. The curry came quicker than expected so I assume that some of it is microwaved, but the food tasted good and the price was cheap so I don't expect the freshest but it can be misleading for some. They have started to do texting orders with that you can text them your order and collect it from the shop which is good to do if you are in a hurry. So a decent place if you want a cheap meal, but don't expect the best quality though.
