This is definitely your classic boba shop but they also carry açaí bowls. I wouldn't necessarily make the açaí bowls my first choice but it's nice they carry them. They aren't half bad but you can find better elsewhere. I would recommend their teas and drinks overall. When I want to treat myself to a sweet drink this is my go to spot. I love how they have a fairly extensive menu where you can mix or match items. I got a matcha frappe like drink and added Oreo bits. It was very tasty almost like a milk shake. They have coffee drinks and plenty of non coffee ones too for the kids. They have a good amount of seating inside if you wanna hangout. The ambiance is very casual and it's right by the mall. Plenty of parking but it can get busy as they have a very busy taco spot Nextdoor. The service is good and the people are nice. Awww man.... So disappointed. I come here for the açaí bowls. I came about 40 minutes before closing, I tipped because I know it's closer to the end of the night. When I received my açaí bowl it was just thrown together with very little effort and the portion seemed less than normal. On top of that, was there a price increase? This place is located in a small shopping center several lights from the Tyler mall area. Very fun youthful place to come to. Every time we come here, there's a lot of teens that come to enjoy the delicious drinks and hang out after school. They provide an abundance amount of options. I came here on a hot day very excited for some boba and this happened to be the closet shop to me. I ordered the strawberry matcha milk tea with boba and pistachio milk tea with boba. I've never had a pistachio milk tea before and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! You can taste the pistachio, but it was not over powering. It was not a combo I would have thought to try! The strawberry matcha was okay only. I couldn't really taste the matcha flavor. It was pretty to look at, but I probably order a different drink next time because it tasted like straight up strawberry syrup. There is no seating available at this location. They have the tables and the chairs, but it's all stacked up and in a corner. It would have been nice to have a place to sit while I waited for my order, which took a little while considering we were the only people for a good while. The drinks are sub par nothing special a little lackluster in taste. The restaurant is a bit dirty, broken tables, full trash CAN. THE SERVICE sucked waited about 40 min to get my order and another 15 min for a manager to arrive to "approve" a refund for an item that was mistakenly charged twice. Not only did I have to wait to get my money back but my drinks that were blended to go were all melting in those 15 min. The manager/owner shouldn't leave the store if his approval is needed. One awesome thing about this place is that boba is always free! You can also get an add on with a yelp check in! Came here on a weekday evening. The shop had a steady stream of customers, which was a great sign that it is a good place! They are only doing take out at this time. Masks are required and social distancing is enforced. On this last visit, I got the lychee slush, which was refreshing and delicious but just a little too sweet. I had forgotten to ask if the sweetness level could be adjusted. And for obvious pandemic reasons, their services were limited to take-out or online orders only. Also, they have some good music playing in the background. COVID-19 Yes, the employees wear masks. Yes, the cashier wore gloves. Yes, there are floor markers. However, no one monitored the door for when there are too many persons inside the shop. There was a brief time when several of the people waiting for drinks were closer than 6-feet. LOCATION / MENU ITEMS It's Boba Time is located near Tyler Mall off Magnolia and Hughes (next to Firehouse Subs and Taqueria 2 Potrillos). This is a huge win for Riverside because -- not only does It's Boba Time offer ice cold slushies and milk tea drinks we've grown to love -- they also have a variety of options, such as hot beverages, acai bowls, iced tea, shaved ice, and more! They're probably the most popular boba franchises I've tried in SoCal. I've only had It's Boba Time from the San Diego location and the Coconut Strawberry Smoothie was my favorite and so, of course, I had to have my coconut fix from this new Riverside location. Although they have a lot of drinks to choose from, they make it really convenient by having a Top 10 list of drinks. Another good drink is their Matcha Strawberry Milk Tea because it's not too sweet. WAIT TIME / SERVICE Boba Tea shops will more than likely have a wait time. Being a new shop with new employees, they were not an exception. I did have to wait about 10-15 minutes for 3 drinks. I'm sure placing an Online Order would have been quicker. Regardless of the wait time, the cashier (lady with short hair -- I'm sure she was the owner) was super friendly and kind. My daughter is OBSESSED with boba time and she loves coming here, taro is her favorite and they have a oreo taro that she likes. Staff is soooo kind, I unfortunately didn't clearly catch the name of the young lady who helped me today I think it was Carly, but my daughter says she heard Harley sooo I'm not to sure but I had a coupon with no barcode and to be safe she gave me her managers # to be sure she can use it at this location. I came in here on a Thursday night. All the reviews said the boba was amazing and they were not wrong. Didn't notice anything about the service. The lady at the front was very sweet when she took our order and so were the staff when they handed us our drink. I think we waited like 3 minutes. TL;DR Don't get anything too complicated. Someone has incense burning. Went to this location for the first time and got a cheese foam black tea and a dragon fruit acai bowl. The bananas that were black were hidden in the middle of the bowl. The milk tea was good. I was sitting in the booth area and I could smell a very strong incense smoky odor. It smells like the kind your grandma lights at her Buddhist altar. I was very put off and I left because my asthma wasn't gonna have it. We tried the Pistachio milk tea w/ boba- Tasted like melted pistachio icecream Almond milk tea with boba- Slight almond flavor, but tasted a bit like chocolate Chamango with boba- Kinda melted/watery and didn't have the tamarindo flavor, just chamoy and tajin. Oolong roasted milk tea with boba- Bland and watery. We had to wait for our drinks since we got their a bit early. but we did notice the cashier constantly taking off her mask to sip her drink while she took orders.
