Enjoyed doing business with Irving and his hardworking partner, Brando. They are super nice people,…read moreand are dependable and very professional. They always arrived by 8am or earlier and hard at work. We replaced our crumbling rock retaining wall with an Allan block wall and it looks super sharp and sophisticated; and functional to boot. Irving put a lot of thought into the design of the wall, factoring in the slope, gravity, settling of the dirt around it, reinforcements, weight, setback, and aesthetics. He was able to design us a very attractive wall with a drainage system and we couldn't be more pleased. He and Brando managed to move dirt and rocks away from the site and build a wall within 4 days and even ended up charging us less than the original asking price! They even set aside some of the large rocks from our rock wall for our next door neighbor to take what he could use and hauled away the rest. Very pleased with this business and would definitely use them again for future landscaping and rock work.

Josh had great…read moresuggestions on how to freshen up our outdoor space to both look good and be budget-conscious since we're planning to sell. He was also very communicative about getting our project scheduled (BONUS: he was able to get us started sooner than originally planned). His crew is some of the nicest people too. My son was running a fever for the few days they were working on our yard and they asked about how he was doing each day (one gentleman even asked if he could pray over him which was so unexpected and nice). They are considerate of your space. At the end of each work day, they sweep up and consolidate their tools to one area so it doesn't feel like you're in a construction zone. The finished product is very polished and well done. When there were things I wanted adjusted or trimmed a little bit more, Josh was very agreeable and happy to oblige. And yes, I was that high maintenance client who had a request to add more flagstone AFTER they were done and they were so great to get a team out the next day to make that little addition. And how often does a project come in under budget?? Was nice to see that they are very precise in what they do. After the project is done, Josh takes measurements of the actual work and adjusts to actuals which made our project come in a little under budget (yay!). I would happily work with them again!

HIs team of landscapers were early, worked hard during sun and rain, and they took time to clean the sidewalks and streets every night before leaving. The estimate was well written and Joshua kept us up-to-date every day on the progress. We had old grass removed, and old cottonwood tree and roots removed, rocks cleaned and weed barrier replaced, bushes replaced, sprinklers replaced and metal edging added. The final product was better then we could have imagined. Denver Tree and Landscape is an outstanding business because of Joshua and his great team of employees. We are excited for him to work on the back yard projects soon. Thank you for what you did for our front yard!!!

Southern Brothers Services is amazing! Of the landscaping businesses I reached out to, JR was the…read moreonly who responded and he continued to be responsive throughout our first project. I initially got a bid for tree removal, plus sod and sprinkler for my front and backyard. I couldn't afford all of it, but JR couldn't have been nicer about breaking it up into projects I could afford. When the date arrived, they were on the spot! One of his employees had an emergency, so JR and his brother showed up. They were great: hardworking, conscientious, and communicated in real time about anything I needed to know ahead of time. I very much appreciated that they took some extra time to deal with a difficult cottonwood root system so it wouldn't come back. JR also set up my sprinkler for me and took the time to teach me how to manage it! He followed up by sending me a lawncare visual so I could get the best new yard possible! It's been less than a week, but my yard looks so great! I can't be on it yet, but I couldn't be more pleased and can't wait to save up enough money for Southern Brothers to come back and start their next project! Love these guys!

He said he could not start service for about 2 weeks but would provide an estimate within 1 week. After not hearing anything from him for 2 weeks, I called and texted a couple of times. I have not heard anything back from JR. It's unfortunate - he seems like a good guy, hard-working, etc. - but it's simply unprofessional to not follow through on his commitments or to at least say that he is too busy for the job and close the loop with a customer.

Let me say this. If you need tree work done in your yard, and are looking at vendors, whether you…read moredecide on Qualitree or not, you DEFINITELY need to have them on your evaluation list. We needed a tree removed from our backyard and I personally vetted out five vendors, including one I used before. Everyone comes to your property and looks at the situation, gives you their thoughts, and send you an estimate. MEETING Ronny, who runs this place, is worth the experience alone. He is knowledgeable, not overly sales-y, transparent, friendly, and really seems to have a passion and caring for his work that is unmatched. This man truly loves trees, and just comes across as a really good dude. His price was really good in comparison to the others, but his personality is what really sold me on their company. He gave me options for the estimate, so I understood the various tiers of work. Most importantly, instead of upselling me on more work, his primary option was a lower amount, but made the most amount of sense for future housework we are having done. Finally, he spotted something in the pine trees (ips beetle marks) that no one else noticed. That really caught my eye. As far as the process... He first moved another appointment to accommodate our first choice of date. Then, he had some people get sick (pretty logical that you need the required amount of folks to remove a tree to do a job), had to cancel, and then moved ANOTHER appointment to accommodate the next available day. The removal was seamless. His crew was respectful, polite, and friendly, his work was done in the promised time, and he even called Xcel personally both for the required power off but also for the power on. We also had a tricky brick-surrounded island to navigate around, and watching them drop stuff harmlessly around it was sort of like watching Van Gogh paint a masterpiece. They are very careful about your belongings, and they even covered my hot tub during the removal. They left the place as they found it (except for the missing tree), and kept me in the loop on progress all day. His estimated price was the final price, and a customer always likes when hidden fees don't appear. He was organized via check, Zelle, or Venmo for payment (QR codes ready to go), and efficiently passed me that info when needed. Very organized shop. Removing a tree is nothing any homeowner wants to deal with optimally, but I can say that I enjoyed Qualitree's process more than I could have imagined. Sorry that I was working during any possible pics of them being high in the air. Last thing. I love wordplay, and you have to simply LOVE the name of a tree company being Quali...tree. Highly, highly recommend these folks to take care of your tree needs...

A Cautionary Review of Land Designs by Colton Our Experience…read moreand Lessons Learned Initially, our experience with Land Designs by Colton seemed promising. The project kicked off smoothly, and we had high expectations based on their assurances and professionalism during the early stages. However, as the work progressed, significant issues began to arise, tarnishing our trust and satisfaction with the company. And then they ghosted us. The Tree Planting Disaster One of the first major problems we encountered was with the landscaping aspect--specifically the planting of trees. Out of the nine trees planted, six died within a relatively short time frame. We had been informed that these trees were under warranty for a year, which gave us some initial reassurance. Unfortunately, when we sought replacements for the dead trees under this warranty, the company did not honor their commitment. This was deeply frustrating and marked the beginning of a series of disappointments in dealing with Land Designs by Colton. Contract Issues Another frustration arose when we attempted to obtain a copy of our contract. We had initially accessed the agreement through Google Docs, but it was mysteriously deleted. When we reached out to Land Designs by Colton for a copy, they claimed they could no longer provide it due to changes in their system following an update. This lack of accountability and transparency added to our growing unease with the company. The Deck Extension Debacle The most costly and distressing issue was related to a deck extension they built for us. After the work was completed, we discovered that the extension had not been permitted--they assured us that this was not necessary. As we began the process of obtaining necessary permits, we learned that the construction itself was not done to code. Specific deficiencies included: * Footings that were not deep enough * Railing spindles with uneven spacing * Stairs that failed to meet code requirements These violations have forced us to reconstruct the deck to meet code standards, incurring additional expenses totaling thousands of dollars. In essence, the deck project has doubled in cost due to their negligence. This has been an incredibly stressful ordeal, both financially and emotionally. Conclusion Our experience with Land Designs by Colton has been nothing short of disastrous. What began as a promising relationship quickly deteriorated due to unfulfilled warranties, lack of transparency regarding contracts, and substandard construction practices that led to code violations. We hope our story serves as a warning to others considering working with this company. Proceed with caution and ensure that every aspect of the contract and work is meticulously monitored to avoid similar hardships. Beware of Land Designs by Colton. What seems fine at the start may end up costing you dearly in the end.
