Great food and great people serving the people. Worth the extra couple minutes off the interstate.

We could have stopped at Biscuitville on the way ( there are two very close to our house) but no I said let's go to Blake's for a good sit down breakfast. We arrive and my wife sits down. I go to the cash machine because I know it's cash only and I only have $25 bucks cash on me. Well their damn ATM isn't working! I had my wife try her card and same thing some kind of error code. So we order light because we have limited funds on us. Two sausage biscuits. They are hard and terrible. Get over the damn cash only crap! It's 2026! There are many options to pay now. Needless to say, I won't be stopping again unless I have plenty of cash on me. We blew right by on Saturday on the way home because of the same reason! It's stupid not to take cards.

What keeps me from 5 stars is ambiance: the booths/chairs and tables needed a bit of attention, the interior needs some modernization/ refurbishment, especially the restrooms. For an establishment 3/4 of a century old, there's an opportunity to decorate the interior with late 1940s motifs... recommend investment in updating the facility with retro mid-20th century decor. I saw multiple comments about locals and catering to the locals. I think those judgments are misplaced. My party was not local, and this was our first visit. I witnessed equal care and attention by the wait staff for all. The fact that locals come and have a relationship with the staff is a testament to the impact and quality of food and service. Besides, no one should expect first name service when it's your first visit. If you're hungry for good food and good service, stop by.

I read the great reviews of this place online , so I had to come see for myself. It's a small brick building on the side of Andrew Jackson Hwy in Laurel Hill. Small parking lot with plenty of business. They have a small indoor dining area that is a bar top facing the windows. A couple of picnic tables outside , which is where I ate mine. I got the Double Cheeseburger with Crinkle Cut Fries and a can of Pepsi. The burger patties were nice and thick and juicy. Hot and fresh tasting with lettuce and tomato. If you want a Traditional North Carolina Slaw Burger they can do that too. The Crinkle Cut Fries were hot , fresh , and tasty. I prefer Crinkle Cut or Steak Cut Fries , so this was a plus. The employees were also nice. They have so much other food to choose from. Bbq Pork Sandwiches , Burgers , Hot Dogs , Sausage Dogs , Corn Dogs , Fried Bologna Sandwich , Pimento Cheese Sandwich , Chicken Wings , Hamburger Steak Plate , Chicken Salad , Chicken Sandwich , Fried Okra , Fries , Onion Rings , Baked Beans , Green Beans , Slaw , and Mashed Potatoes , and more. So don't pass by this place on the way to the beach or elsewhere. Make sure to stop and get you some good ole Carolina Food made with Love.

Good luck finding a seat if you don't get there at opening or at closing because it is PACKED with a line out the door otherwise. It's got a counter with seats and a handful of booths giving it that "get in and get out" vibe. I saw their name listed on a Top 10 BEST Cheeseburgers of North Carolina list and was told by a native in Siler City to go here for the best cheeseburgers so I decided to give them a try. My go to cheeseburger order is always cheese, pickles onions and mustard but they don't have pickles so I got a cheeseburger with Ket, Mus, Mayo, lettuce, tomato and onion. It was DELICIOUS! So juicy and flavorful. They roll and pat out each burger to order, steam the buns, and the fries come out hot and crispy. Their tea is really good too. Service was friendly and knowledgeable about their product and origin of beef. But be prepared to wait. It's a BUSY little place, but well worth the wait. I highly recommend for the best cheeseburger around.

As soon as I opened the front door, I could hear the auctioneer over the loud speaker and made my way back to the restaurant. I follow them on Facebook and they always announce what the special for the day is and I happened to go on National Cheeseburger Day. Yay! The staff at the order counter was so friendly and helpful. I asked about the livestock auction next door and was told it's open to the public so immediately I was curious and excited. You order and pay at the counter and they bring your food out to you. Other staff come around and make sure you are satisfied with your food and they keep your drink full. Very attentive and friendly staff. I ordered a Cheeseburger with fries and a drink. I ordered the cheeseburger with extra cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo and mustard. Food came out hot and fresh and the fries are hand cut. The meat on the burger was FRESH, AMERICAN Black Angus ground beef grown right here in NC. You just can't get any fresher meat. The bun on the burger was fresh and kept the sandwich together even with all of those fresh toppings. And they use the good pickles. Delicious burger! The fries are hand cut there in the restaurant and were fresh and delicious as well. The only thing I would've changed is to ask them to cook the fries a tad bit longer to crisp them up (my preference). They also have really good sweet tea and even though I didn't get a dessert, they offer homemade desserts at the counter and they looked yummy. One additional plus. Their prices. Very reasonable prices. After lunch, I checked out the livestock auction. It was very interesting to watch and that auctioneer was awesome. I really enjoyed observing the local cowboys bidding and found the entire experience delightful. I can't wait to go back and get a steak!
