Came here for date night on Saturday. We had an early reservation, around 5:30pm. It wasn't crowded but music was loud. They sat us towards the back. Nice seating area. I noticed later on that there was also seating outside. For drinks I had an espresso martini which was delicious and slightly different as they add Kahlua. My husband had a scotch on the rocks. Not much to say about that lol. For an appetizer we had the fig crostini. Highly recommend and would come here again to get this. For dinner, I had the Chicken Burrata Caprese. This portion was enough for two people. The chicken was crispy and the salad on top was fresh. My husband had the Sweet Chili Salmon. There was not a crumb left on his plate so I guess it was good. For dessert, the hubby got the Affogato. I gotta say the gentleman came to the table and served it correctly by pouring the fresh espresso right onto the ice cream in front of us.
I've gotten takeout many times and the food, though a bit pricey, has always been very good. First time dining here and it was hit and miss. The inside space is a bit weird especially the bar area. The outdoor patio and side ally entrance is the best part, beautifully decorated and lit. You don't feel like you're in downtown Bay Shore. There is however a very strange tent all they way in the back with tables. I would have been upset if I was seated there. It seemed awkwardly temperature controlled and the feeling that you are dining with everyone in there, not private. A drawback to the outdoor area was that you could clearly hear the music from the restaurant next door. It was so loud, it was high anxiety inducing! Could not hear ITA's music at all. The food again was good, but with some issues. The regular salad was big, and had lovely and fresh ingredients, but was doused in salad dressing. To the point where that's all I could taste. I wanted to eat more but couldn't, the dressing was so overpowering. On the menu, you can get any pasta gluten free or with zucchini noodles. I asked for the zucchini noodles. Our friendly waiter wrote it down, but it was delivered to me with regular pasta. By the time he came back to check on us, I already ate half of it. It was very good, but not what i ordered. He said he could bring me a side of the zucchini noodles, but I said that wasn't necessary. Unfortunately nothing further was done about this mistake on the bill. They should have comped a drink at least. I would try dine in again one more time to see how it goes
Celebrate my birthday with an amazing dinner at ITA Kitchen! The ambiance was perfect, the service was great, our server Gilberto knew all about the dishes and gave us great recommendations. The food we had was finger licking good! Best part was that I was able to have gluten free pasta as an option and not many places offer gluten free. The clams, carrozza and risotto balls for an app were amazing! My sister enjoyed the vodka parm, we also tried the JJ Money bags and the Branzino was sooo good. I can't wait to go back.
Everything was incredible. I can't stop thinking about the SPICY RIGATONI. The flavor was everything, the added chicken cutlet was perfectly cooked. The pesto risotto app Ate leftovers for breakfast. There are no rules.

We had to stop at ITA this past Friday night after a video of their chicken cutlet bowl went viral online. It was pretty easy for me to get a reservation before it turned late evening, so we had hopes that the dish might be available even though we read it was constantly sold out. After being greeted with super ice cold water (my favorite), we ordered drinks and an appetizer. Wait: we couldn't order an appetizer without having our full meal ready to be ordered, which was super annoying. After gazing at the menu, we ordered fried calamari, spicy rigatoni and the chicken cutlet bowl (so happy it was available!). Note: the chicken cutlet bowl is not listed on their regular menu. I found that a little odd as we couldn't see the price. We were served bread with olive oil and it was extremely delicious. Shortly after, our calamari came out and was pretty good. Wish it had a little more flavor, but we enjoyed it. Our main dishes soon arrived and I had to send mine back as I did not personally appreciate the lump of cheese on top. Our waiter had the chef make me a new dish which was great. My husband's pasta on top of his chicken cutlet bowl was not as spicy as mine (I think mine was too spicy, once again). I wish we could have switched. My husband's dish was enormous and he had to take half of it home. We waited for the check......and waited.....and waited. Our waiter disappeared and we finally flagged him down 15 minutes later, only for him to disappear for another 10. We were in a rush at this point and needed to leave. Annoyed that when we got our check, the chicken cutlet bowl was a whopping $45!!!!!! I thought that was insane. Had we have known that it was this pricy, I don't think my husband would have ordered it. Oh well. Just be prepared. Also, will note that the back of the restaurant is extremely tight. A table behind us ordered mozzarella tableside and everyone had to weave in and out around the table.
Gotta love ITA! This location is nice, they have a extension outside that's decorated so nicely. The menu is a decent size and the drink menu is too. I loveeee the grilled artichoke, has so much flavor and I literally can't get enough. The eggplant Marco is also one of my favorite dishes! It's nice and crispy and it has a delicious vodka sauce, it's the perfect appetizer. The service was amazing, the server was so attentive and had a lot of suggestions and recommendations. I love their truffle sauce so I always get it! And of course you can't forget about adding the cheese crown!
I came here for my birthday (second time going) and had another amazing experience. The service was great, but the food was even better. They had a "taco Tuesday" special where you get two breaded cutlets as your taco shell and your choice of pastas on the inside. I did the truffle cream sauce and it was to die for. Everyone at the table loved their meals and the portions were huge so we got to take home left overs as well. Would recommend!!
My first time trying Ita Kitchen was during winter when they have their rented igloos outside for dining. The igloos are more like tents (just a heads up), a little different than the website shows but nonetheless still cool! It was a fun dining experience! Our server was awesome! He was so patient and friendly. Any request we had, he was happy to help us. He really went above and beyond. The food itself was very good! The baked clams were fantastic! I also ordered the chicken parm which was good but seemed to lack a little salt. Overall, this place is classy, elegant and beautiful.
I had high hopes for this Italian restaurant, but unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. The food was incredibly heavy, drowning in oil and cheese, making it difficult to enjoy. For the high prices they charge, I expected much better quality and balance in the dishes. The risotto balls were cold in the middle. The baked clams were lacking in flavor. The drinks were another disappointment--overly sweet and artificial-tasting, almost undrinkable. Espresso martini flight had carbonation in it which I've never seen. They were way too sweet. On top of that, the restaurant itself felt unclean, with sticky tables and a generally grimy atmosphere. Ex posted nails on the walls, pictures looked like they were cleaned in a while and dust on the couches. There were also buttons missing on the black couches so you can see the screws in the seating. The floor was also dirty along with the menus that looked like they were never cleaned. The dim lighting might have been intended to create ambiance, but it just made the place feel dark and uninviting. I was getting a headache because it was so incredibly dark inside. They advertise chicken tacos on their instagram but they were no where on the menu. I noticed a lot of people ordering out. Which I understand why now. They also make you put in your appetizer and entree in al at once. I understand if the restaurant was packed or if it's a large party but there were two other tables in the restaurant. I felt rushed. The waiter was mumbling and not clear with introducing himself or the menu. I asked for a recommendation and he just explained the dishes and read off the menu. It seemed that he didn't eat there before or was new. Overall, this was not worth the price. There are far better Italian restaurants out there that offer great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and reasonable prices. I won't be returning.

Food was delicious! The baked chicken parm was so good. I got it with rigatoni pasta and the spicy vodka sauce and crown it on top - highly recommend. Two people at my table ordered dinners with steak and they only had one steak left. So one person had to choose another entree. Waitress was apologetic. Waters could have been filled up more or have bigger water glasses. Good music was played! Would come back!
My husband and I have been wanting to try this place and the perfect time was for my birthday dinner! We started out at the bar for happy hour with a few glasses of wine. Their happy hour is a great deal and the bar has plenty of seats at i We mixed on to our table for our reservation and started off with an order of the meatballs and calamari. The meatballs were delicious and a great size. They had more than enough sauce. The calamari was nice and crispy and tasty. For our entrees I ordered the Shrimp Luciano and I opted to add linguini to it and I was really happy with my decision. It was full of flavor and has a nice touch of garlic as well. My husband ordered the Chicken Picante which was spicy exactly how he likes it. He also added pasta to his. The portions were good as well as the price point. We both had enough to take leftovers home with us. Overall, the ambiance of the restaurant could be better in the dining room but the food is good and we will definitely make our way back to do happy hour as well as to try some more items on the menu.

The food was amazing! I had calamari and pesto meatballs, a vegan dish. It is a must try. The 2 came up to $42 dollars but you get 4 nice size meatballs and a lot of calamari probably for two. I got the Thai chili sauce with it. The service was great from the girl at the front to the man who brought the food. I got it for take out. It was in plastic Tupperware . The ambiance is nice in the summer they have an outside. read more
This was my first time at ITA Bay Shore and overall, it was a positive experience. I ordered the Spicy Rigatoni with a mozzarella crown. My girlfriend ordered the fish. First we ordered the bread basket because we were starving. That was a little disappointing because the first piece of bread was dry. Also, it bums me out to pay for pre-dinner bread. Even the local pizzeria serves a very delicious offering of bread before dinner but I guess because ITA is elevated Italian, perhaps it's a little too casual for an upscale restaurant. So, the bad news is they forgot to hold the stratiacella cheese. Then when my pasta came out, it was cooked past al dente. I was disappointed but so hungry. So I ate it. Then as I was putting the leftovers in the bag, to take home, I decided to say something to the waitress. Having to reheat it would cook the already overcooked, would turn it in to mush. And that was a $28 pasta dish, not including the crown. So I decided to mention it to the waitress because I'm sure they would rather me tell them, than give a bad review. They immediately apologized and offered to make a brand new dish to take home. On top of that, they also comp'd to desserts!! The Rainbow Cookie Crumb Cake, which was divine, and the Pistashio Cheesecake, also outstanding. So they get an extra star for treating the customer right!! I would recommend and come back again. I would order the Spicy Rigatoni again and skip the bread basket. Also, it's very cute inside. Insta worthy. read more

Ambiance (5/5): We dined on Sunday evening and about half of the tables were full. I loved the clubby/dance music in the background but liked that it wasn't blaring that we could hear each other. The décor with the neon lights were a nice touch and somewhere you feel like you're going to have a fun time! Service (5/5): Our server was sweet and checked on us often. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff brought out a sparkler candle, changed the music, and sang us HBD with the dessert. Food Pesto Risotto Balls (4/5): A unique way to enjoy the dish but lacked a bit of seasoning. I didn't love the texture (almost too gritty) but liked the hints of the pesto and cheese taste. Calamari (3/5): A bit rubbery and bland breading. I would suggest to forgo this dish! Burrata Ravioli w Truffle Pesto Cream Sauce (5/5): wow this dish was extremely creamy and rich with bursting flavor!! This was my favorite dish of the table. Ricotta Gnocchi (5/5): Another rich dish. I've never had a gnocchi so soft and inside so flavorful! Manny's Veal $34 (3/5): Two thin slices of veal topped with mozzarella on a bed of spinach. The veal was extremely tender but flavors were dominated by the marinara/tomatoes. It felt like an otherwise standard dish. ITA Spicy Rigatoni (3/5): The flavors were overpowered by the overly spice level but otherwise pretty good. Slashed on a layer of parmesan cheese to mute the spiciness. Cannoli Crumb Cake (5/5): Decadent cake with a lightness from the cannoli cream on the side. I enjoyed this one the best. Fried Rainbow Cookie Ice Cream Sundae (4/5): There was only a small piece of the fried rainbow cake and the rest was mostly some fudge and vanilla ice cream. After viewing a young influencer on IG https://www.instagram.com/amandasparkles?igsh=eHBta3ZqcXhrY3w My 2 brothers and I had lunch at ITA Kitchen in Bayshore, from the moment we entered and left it was a perfect experience. We had Cindy as our waitress she was absolutely amazing she was able to handle is, we are adult children. Cindy definitely had a smile the entire time she was very helpful with menu suggestions and knowledgeable about the items on the menu. We inquired about the table side mozzarella recommended from the influencer well worth it and a first time experience. I had Ravioli Barreta with pesto, a brother had the same thing adding shrimp, and the other ordered Chicken barrata capris. For dessert we ordered the fried rainbow cookies. Everything was delicious and our waitress Cindy was AMAZING as well read more

ITA should definitely be on your list of places to try if you haven't been yet. The GM, Ryan runs this place so fantastically and is very accommodating. Whether you're dining indoor, at the bar or outside with the gorgeous floral decor the staff is super attentive. Their food is not your traditional Italian but Italian with a flare. I love their baked clams, broccoli rabe and sausage egg rolls and the artichoke hearts oreganata for apps. The spicy rigatoni is amazing. I do try something new every time I'm there and haven't been disappointed yet. I'll remember to post more pics next time. read more

We could go on and on and on about how fantastic the food, ambiance and service are at ITA..ESPECIALLY during the pandemic when a private igloo or greenhous was the only way to dine out in the winter, but I will not ! I will simply say to go there as soon as possible and simply look at the photos, as we did the first time. Eggplant Marco is a must, as is their chicken cutlet in any presentation, but with the mac and cheese, if that;s your thing. Go, Go, Go read more

What started off as a blah experience, ended up being a great experience by the last bite of the meal. Really a 3.5 review, but I will round up. My boyfriend and I arrived around 6ish for dinner. There wasn't anyone at the hostess stand...so we waited. The bartender didn't greet us, but did look at us. I politely asked for table for 2. She stated someone is coming. We did wait a bit for the hostess to come. We didn't have a reservation. The hostess stated it would be an hour and half wait. After I said that's too long and to "forget it" she said, "let me see what I can do." She ended up seating us in this booth by the window in the corner. I'm not sure if it's an actual table or not as I feel it was the waiting area for pick up that a table was added to...but either way we were accommodated. The hostess ended up also being our waitress. She was quite efficient. We started with some warm bread and seasoned oil. It was just okay. Nothing bad...just didn't blow us away or anything. We also ordered calamari as an appetizer. I was a bit concerned as there wasn't ONE picture on Yelp of the calamari, which is a very classic and traditional appetizer. We still ordered it as we love calamari. Calamari was very basic and underwhelming. Kinda tasted like frozen calamari that was flash fried. Marinara sauce also tasted like jarred sauce. Now the entrees. The WINNERS of the evening.... I ordered Sweet Chili Salmon with sautéed spinach. MOUTHGASM! The salmon was cooked perfectly and the flavors were unbelievable. The sweet chili complimented the salmon and spinach. I devoured and savored my dish as I didn't want it to end. My boyfriend ordered the chicken vodka parm. Something very unique that caught his eye and normally you just see regular parm on menus. The vodka sauce was delicious. It was also a pleasant surprise when there's more chicken than pasta served. On a rainy Sunday we had our Birthday Dinner at ITA KITCHEN in Bayshore Daughter Jenn arranged for a Greenhouse so we didnt have to eat inside. We had a 2 hour slot which was perfect and gave us plenty of time for festivities! Gilberto, our server was perfecto and made the party fun. He made sure we had everything we needed and he was a pleasure to deal with. Our food was excellent and served hot...see photos and check for more details of what we consumed and drank... Went here to try the viral pasta in a chicken cutlet bowl and was not disappointed. It wasn't listed in the menu but I did ask our waitress if they did have the bowls that day which luckily they did!! I'm assuming they may not always have it, so definitely ask! I didn't get her name, but our waitress when we went was very nice and accommodating. Now to the food: I had the burrata ravioli and it was so yummy! The chicken bowl is a thin layer but adds that crunch factor. Creamy, cheesy, crispy. To be honest, I'm not sure if I would have enjoyed the meal as much as I did without it, but the whole combo together was pure chef's kiss. My family had enjoyed their pastas as well. Spicy rigatoni had a nice flavor. They also provide kid friendly options/portions The restaurant has a cute atmosphere. They do have outdoor seating. I think also at one point during the winter they provided those heated igloos but unsure if that still goes on. I believe on Sundays they do have a brunch menu too! been here twice and everything is SO good. i prefer the espresso martini flight over the sangria but both are good. the GTFO and chicken parm w vodka sauce are both good dishes, and you HAVEEEE to get the fried rainbow cookies for dessert! read more

My family took me to dinner here for my birthday. We were outside in an igloo with heaters. It was a cute set up. The server was nice and explained everything. I ordered wine and the server brought bread for the table. We got appetizers and entrees but no dessert. For my meal, I ordered the chicken parm. It was your typical chicken parm. It wasn't bad but didn't blow me away. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had a really nice time. I wouldn't go back. Nothing was wrong with my experience I just wasn't moved by this Italian restaurant. read more
This is a solid 4 star restaurant. The food is delicious, the servings are huge and the service is great. The ambiance is relaxed, intimate and loud. An area for improvement is in the presentation of the food: It seems a little elementary. If the presentation can be elevated, ITA can be a solid 5 star place! read more

Been here a couple of times and will definitely be back! My friends and I came for their opening day of Sunday Brunch and everything was delicious! We sat in an outdoor greenhouse and it was decorated with beautiful flowers. Service was great, especially with bottomless mimosas! Yum :) read more
Queens is shut down, unfortunately, and my 79 year old mom gets cold fast. She can't really do outdoor seating. She also gets a bit down when she does not get to go out. So, I drove an hour to check this restaurant out. (I had been trying to get a reservation for one of their private igloos for a group of friends to go out without success. ) we were able to get a table for two at 5:30pm. The place had all the tables spaced out nicely and separated. All were full of happy customers. The staff is professional and warm. Very accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu. The Eggplant appetizer was beyond anyone's anywhere. Really delicious. All the food was great. I can't wait to go back and try some more items from their menu. read more

Still getting 5 - especially when thanked by our waitstaff for supporting the industry during these difficult times. Gilberto gets additional kudos for the wonderful accent that added a level of sophistication to the dining experience. ITA fries were good as were the artichokes. Eggplant Marco remains an excellent starter, or a main for my daughter. Split the linguini with clam sauce with Lisa E. - just the right portion - pasta cooked al dente, clams sweet and fresh, garlic in the right proportion and sauce eager to soak up with crusty bread. Tried a paper plane cocktail - strong sweet and herbal - limited to one and still flying high! Igloo has a vent in the dome the allowed some sleet to adorn our table - only added to the experience. Hoping for al fresco dining weather - and that eating in an igloo, greenhouse or yurt becomes a distant memory! read more

Great spot! Second time ive been here but a 1st for this location. Our waiter was great and gave us some tips. If the fried chicken bowl is sold out put fried chicken cutlet on any of your pastas ( a lot cheaper too) Crowning your meal is overrated to me yet I've done it both times I've visited ITA. Spicy rigatoni is out of the world! The rainbow cookie martini was phenomenal. Table side mozzarella is great but more for the experience. Loved the pesto mussels! Cannoli crumb cake was my favorite dessert. Small space, decorated very cute, will deff come back! read more

Came here with a reservation for their Igloo. What an awesome set up they have. There was an incident with my reservation that I was originally upset about, BUT, it all worked out in the end which I am so happy about. (thank you again, Ryan) Reservation was for 7:30pm and we arrived a few minutes early. But our table was ready so we were able to sit right away. Our waiter Sal was great- super attentive and helpful with our orders. We had a blast. The igloo has its own Bluetooth speaker so you can play your own music. It also has a light to switch on/off if you want service, but our waiter just popped in whenever he noticed plates/glasses/etc which we didn't mind. Apps: we did the seafood antipasto and meat cheese board. Both were fresh and delicious. Fried calamari was crispy and the baked clams were little neck which are our favorites with a good dipping sauce. Entrees: I did the spicy rigatoni and added grilled chicken. It has a bit of a kick to it but I loved it! Boyfriend did the Manny's veal dish which was awesome and it was a huge portion. We both had plenty of left overs. We still had time so we decided to squeeze in dessert to share lol. We got the apple pie cinnamon bun (I think what it was called) and also the hot cocoa bomb with baileys. Worth it! This hot cocoa bomb was so chocolatey and when you add the baileys it literally just tasted like the holidays lol. Ambiance, food, service 10/10. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back soon. read more
