We invited him back in and proceeded to make the purchase. The crew led by Mikey, Ivan and Arrow arrived on time. Before they even took official measurements, we discovered major electrical issues in our home that were so dangerous they nearly caused a house fire at 2 a.m. on a Sunday night -- June 30th. Because of this, we have no choice but to sell our home for the safety of our family. Our house has turned out to have multiple hidden dangers -- bad plumbing, a failing roof, poor doors and windows, and now electrical work that was not up to code. My husband is an active duty military member, and we trusted Mr. Rogers Windows because they claim to be a "military-friendly" company. But when we explained our urgent situation and asked to cancel or at least transfer our contract to our new home -- something that should be reasonable since they haven't done official measurements or ordered parts -- they outright refused. Instead, they told us we'd still be forced to pay the entire $28,000 balance before we can sell our home. We are doing the right thing by making sure the house is up to code for the next family, because no one deserves to feel unsafe in their own home. All we asked was for a little understanding and flexibility from this company that claims to "support" the military. We are heartbroken and feel completely abandoned by Mr. Rogers Windows. They have shown no compassion, no willingness to help, and absolutely no loyalty to the military families they say they support. He arrived when he said he would on time and looked the situation over. Much to my surprise after inspection of the old smaller deck he noticed that it was unsafe and should be reinforced for safety (and Code compliance),for expansion because it was shaky. I was pleased with his knowledge and appreciated him bringing this to my attention. My wife and I accepted his advice to demolish down to the frame and awarded him the job. He and a helper arrived on time to start the deconstruction of my old deck and the project was under way. His worker, Tim did an excellent job of bringing the deck down to the frame which he had said was reusable. The following day A carpenter, Ken showed up and started the construction. When they returned the they continued and finished the deck. I am glad We hired Mark for the job. Ken and Tim worked steady to repair and extended our new deck to our satisfaction. I complement thrse two. It looks great, very sturdy and a nice addition to our home. I must say Mark's price was very reasonable, his coordinating coordinating with me both on yhe phone and in person, dropping by now and again to spend time with his men was admirable. That shows me a good repore with his employes and also cares for the progress of his commitment to his customers.
