Great communication and super fast service. Very friendly, informative and professional. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing car keys made. read more

10 STARS -- SOLIDLY 2004 Dodge Sprinter 2500. If you have one, or a vehicle which requires key programming, you know how difficult it is to re-key. Situation--My only key broke off in the rear cargo door--I was stuck! Finding a local locksmith that wasn't a scam--locksmith call centers with little understanding--was extremely difficult. **Don't waste your time waiting for a "call back by the technician" that never arrived. Then I found Daniel's Lock and Key. One call and I knew he was an expert. He knew exactly what needed to be done...key programming, key replication, cleaning tumbler, etc. He picked the driver door lock, cut two keys, and both fit the tumbler perfectly. Better service than I ever expected. Don't waste your time calling a locksmith call center!! Call Daniel's Lock and Key in the Virginia Beach area--he has the profession pegged! read more

Daniel provided outstanding locksmith service from start to finish. He arrived incredibly fast--within 15 minutes of my initial call--and was communicative the entire time. Using advanced, high-tech tools, Daniel opened my apartment door without any damage or risk to the lock, which immediately put me at ease. His professionalism, friendliness, and deep knowledge of his trade truly set him apart. I've had to use locksmith services before, and this was by far the best experience. Daniel worked quickly and efficiently and had everything he needed right in his vehicle, so there were no delays. I was back inside my apartment within about 30 minutes of making the call. If you ever find yourself locked out, I highly recommend Daniel's Lock and Key. He'll save your day and give you real peace of mind. (Sorry for the late post!) read more

Daniel did an amazing job for me. If you have a Jaguar, he is the guy to call in Hampton Roads, VA. Reasonably priced and has all the tools and knowledge to make keys and program fobs. Highly recommend. read more

Daniel provided great customer service. He solved a lock problem for me over the phone. With his advice, I fixed the problem and did not need his services. So, he didn't even make any money from me. Daniel was happy to do it. read more

Awesome dude. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Solved the issue and made me a new key fob.

FRIENDLY, EFFECTIVE, AND AFFORDABLE! Needed a spare key for my 2013 Toyota Corolla. I only had one key to begin with and it would stick on occasion. I expressed my concerns to Daniel and he was very helpful. Going as far as to explain the whole process and a little bit of history on Toyota lock mechanisms. He really knows his stuff, is exceptionally friendly, and flexible with scheduling an appointment. I was able to get another key made with working remote in under 30 minutes at price that was fair. All of his work is covered by warranty as well! If you're in need of a locksmith, look no further, Daniel is your guy! read more

Called Daniel this morning about replacement Honda keys, he arrived in the early afternoon and reproduced two working keys in short order! Would use him again! read more

He was extremely rude on a call to confirm and straight up LEFT the job because my husband was standing a few feet away while he began to work in our driveway. He said he couldn't work while someone was, "looking over his shoulder". I'm assuming he was having a bad day. We were dumbfounded. read more

Highly recommend! I needed a new key fob for my Chevy Cruz, and he came out the same day and had a brand new key fob within 15 minutes. Price was super reasonable and the service was excellent! read more

Our camper has a smartlock which decided to not work. Of course, we couldn't find the keys. Daniel responded quickly to my request for a quote. He kept me updated on when he would get to my house. He was very professional and quick to get the door unlocked despite the lock being stubborn. He was also able to make two new keys for me. The cost was very reasonable, too. I highly recommend Daniel's Lock and Key. read more

I Call Daniel and asked he could cut a key, asked how long it would take and when can you get me in. 15 minutes later I met up with him and got the key done and price was perfect! He is very professional and the speedy service was great! Highly recommended read more

The first call, he sounded super helpful. The second call he sounded so busy that he couldn't come by. He also kept implying that I bought a used car and that he couldn't do it on a used car. I have a brand new car. He kept saying couldn't do instead of what he could do and told me to try budget locking key. He wanted me to tow my car to him and he would charge me $300. Great! The tow truck guy came and they had the wrong type of tow truck. He couldn't tow it. offered to Uber him here, he said that he had a work van and that since he had already done his route to the oceanfront from town center that he would charge me $125 over the phone. He progressively sounded more and more pissed off and mean and said that didn't even know if he'd be able to even do it read more

Leaves the location while I'm on the way without notifying us. Very unprofessional in tone of speaking with customers and put personal needs above professional business role. Do not call if you have an emergency. read more

Daniel's service was A++, would definitely recommend and use again! Daniel provided a new key fob and programmed it for my vehicle; it all took less than 30 mins! read more

Daniel did a phenomenal job with our rekey project. Had a tenant turnover and reached out for new cores. He asked if old cores were damaged, which they were not, so he suggested money saving rekey of the house to repurpose existing cores. Reasonably priced, extremely communicative, and professional, this project was easy, even from out of town!! read more

Amazingly fast response time and service. Called and requested same-day home replacement/re-key lock service and they had a technician out and on the job within 35 minutes. The pricing is also affordable, especially in a pinch. Would definitely recommend and use again if needed. read more

I locked my only key in my Honda Accord and went to Yelp for recommendations. I saw Daniel's company and sent him a message. He replied immediately and gave me a cheaper quote than the other four companies I reached out to. Daniel showed up on time and had my car open in less than two minutes. He also made two spare keys in his van while he was there. A+ for value (Great price for an unlock and two spare keys), time, and customer service. He was polite and was able to answer all the questions I had. Will definitely be calling Daniel if I lock my keys in my car again. read more

Highly recommend! Daniel was very responsive and professional in changing out 3 locks at my home.

If you are trying to figure out how to get keys for your car, Daniel is by far the best solution. There are so many transponders and chip key systems these days, you need someone who has taken the time and spent the money to solve car key issues. I have gone to the dealer which was much more expensive and a pain. You have to wait for an appointment, drop your car off and wait. I think the dealer calls a locksmith to come to the dealership and marks it up big time. Many locksmiths can give it a try and it may or may not work. Daniel has multiple methods to work with the electronic systems in today's vehicles. He will get your keys done fast and less expensive than the dealer. I would highly recommend Daniel Lock and Key. read more

The battery died to the entry keypad to my home. I had lost the key for the lock and assumed I had another on my spare set... but NOT! After a few unsuccessful calls to other locksmiths, I called Daniel! His voice was so calming to this upset woman! He gave me an ETA and arrived in 20 minutes. He had the door open in no time and made me some keys as well at a very affordable price. He was so kind and efficient for a young man that I even gave him a tip! I cannot even begin to say how much I appreciate him and highly recommend him for any situation you may have requiring help for your home or car! Margo H. read more

This guy seriously saved me so much time and money. After being denied by countless locksmiths due to the type of vehicle I had, Dan was the only business that agreed to help me out. He took the broken part of my key out of my gas tank and then made me two new keys for an extremely reasonable price. best of all... he came out to me! Super flexible and friendly. He even taught me the ins and outs of how locksmithing works. This is the only guy I trust to touch my bike's lock and keys. Thanks again Dan! read more

Very nasty attitude, statement he made about how much his equipment cost and he needs to make a profit.

Excellent and professional service provided by Daniel. Would recommend to anyone needing assistance for re-key or key replacements.

Lock rekeyed and made 8 keys. Nice work, thanks. All said and done. Yelp wants 85 characters to be happy.

Battery died to open my safe, could not find the emergency key to open. Call Daniel, it took him about 10-15 minutes to open safe and we found the emergency keys in the safe lol. He came out the same day and charge a fair price. Will use him again for locksmith work. read more

Quick response time, best price I could find and absolutely great quality of work! Highly recommend!

Posted my requirements here at YELP and provided additional information so that the various companies would have as much information as possible when contacting me about the job (key broken off inside home deadbolt, no remnant remaining externally to grab with pliers). I do not know how many locksmiths YELP contacted with my information. I only received four replies. Of those Daniel's was the easy choice. He was: 1. Professional, polite, and pleasant 2. Timely and detailed in his communications with me, including follow-up 3. Two of the four were charging half again as much for the service 4. One of the four replies was too lacking in detail to be able to make any decision. Daniel contacted me when he was on the way from the previous job that day. Arrived on time, had his facemask and though in work clothing his appearance was clean and presentable. The work he did was quick and effective. In the process he identified a potential problem with my locks wearing due to age (thirty five years old) and I had him repair that as well. My keys, though not quite as old were worn with age and he replaced the bad lock cylinder and cut fresh keys for it matching my existing set. I would call Daniel's first for any lock concerns I might have in the future - home, business, vehicles or whatever and recommend him highly should you need lock or key work. read more

He is honest, reliable, and very proficient in his trade. Head and shoulders above all the rest.

Locked my key in my 2001 truck. Did not have a spare only remote to unlock door. Daniel came promptly at time promised. Made me a new key programmed to truck. Brought to my attention that the orig key was cracking and that it might be best to use the new key every day and put up the orig as an extra. Very knowledgeable, helpful and professional. read more
