We were two couples dining on a Friday evening and loved every dish we tried. We were a little hesitant as the only reservation we'd been able to get was for outside. The temps were going to be in the high eighties. I'm glad we still came. There was a slight breeze, plus the fans, and the covered tenting, made for a comfortable setting. And it was a tad quieter sitting outside. Our only minor quibble was that our server was busy entertaining and had a lot of tables. But although it was a long time between courses, we got to relax and enjoy our conversations. My husband and I shared a grilled Caesar. The baby lettuce had a nice smoky flavor. It was a good appetizer. After that he had the pb and fois gras -- which he adored. And I had the grilled artichokes. It was not what I expected -- I was thinking they would be whole. But the dish was good. We shared lamb meatballs next -- and they were very good. Our friends started with the burrata. The plate was gorgeous -- so colorful. And the burrata very creamy. For their main dishes, she had the lobster and shrimp flatbread and he had the grilled salmon rice bowl. They both enjoyed their choices. For dessert, we had the blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Served hot, it was slightly sweet without being cloying. We can't wait to bring friends here. We've already recommended the restaurant to folks several times.

That said, I'm taking off one star because of the way reservations are handled before opening. I typically make a 5:00 PM reservation and arrive a few minutes early (around 4:55 PM), only to find a large crowd of guests waiting outside. This has happened multiple times. In Florida's summer heat, it's uncomfortable and frankly unnecessary to have dozens of customers--many of them elderly--standing outside in 90+ degree weather while waiting for the doors to open. During my most recent visit, people were visibly frustrated, hot, and asking why they couldn't simply wait inside the air-conditioned lobby. The issue seems to be a combination of policy and execution. The host staff often appear surprised when guests are annoyed, but the frustration is entirely predictable. If someone has a reservation and arrives a few minutes early, they should be allowed to wait comfortably inside rather than standing outside in the heat. I genuinely enjoy this restaurant and want to keep coming back, but this is an easily fixable customer experience issue. A simple change to allow guests to wait indoors before seating would go a long way toward improving the overall experience. I hope you take this as a friendly reminder that we want to eat here, we just don't want to boil outside.

Needless to say, I'm walking away disappointed in search of another place that is respectable to the opening times posted. One star only for the experience. Wish I could comment and rate the food and coffee.

Then you either cut through the building or walk around to the back (or front entrance). There are some tables outside and about 6 two-top tables inside. You order at the counter, and they will bring your food to you. In the counter displays you can see their various pastries and quiches. There's also a separate cooler for cold drinks. When we stopped by for lunch, they were fairly full inside -- which meant 4 of the tables were taken. It was a one-man band as the owner/chef was doing everything by himself. He was waiting on everyone and preparing the food, as well. Oh, and btw, he is from Paris. I started with an iced decaf coffee. The coffee was very good -- not bitter like the famous chain everyone goes to. I also ordered a sandwich of turkey with cranberry sauce and brie. It regularly comes also with ham, but I had him leave this off. They were out of baguettes so our choices of bread was a panini or a panini (!) -- so we got a panini. My husband ordered a tuna sandwich with veggies. I think the guy thought he'd ordered tuna with cheese, however. It took a bit to get our sandwiches as the chef was making crepes and other food for the rest of the customers. We were okay with this -- although hungry. Both sandwiches were served hot from the panini press. And both sandwiches were thoroughly enjoyed. We didn't get any dessert, but several items looked appealing. If you are looking for an authentic local cafe experience and are not in a rush, this place is for you.

I have a weakness for an authentic French bakery, especially one as highly rated as this, so when I…read morefound myself in the area during lunch, it was a given that I was going to stop and check out Vincent's. Vincent's was founded by Chef Vincent Durin and his wife, Christine. Chef Durin apprenticed in Charcuterie-Traiteur in France before opening two restaurants and a catering service in Quebec, as well as another restaurant in the south of France. His family then came to the United States, where they opened Vincent's French Bakery in Lake Worth Beach in April 2020. Boca Raton is their second location, and they have recently expanded with a takeout-only spot on Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach. Today, his son Hugo and his wife, Allison, have become an integral part of the business. On the sidewalk out front, there are a few tables. As soon as you walk in the door, you are met with a European-inspired café. A glass bakery case beckons you to indulge in the savory and sweet pastries on display. Vincent's is known for its croissants, artisanal sandwiches, salads, omelets, quiche, locally roasted coffee, and more. Come early for the best selection of pastries. I had just missed out on the last pistachio croissant of the day, but I nursed my disappointment with an almond croissant instead. I also indulged in a warm ham and brie croissant that would have benefited from mustard, along with an iced latte. The tables inside are seat-yourself. If I have one critique, it is that I didn't feel especially welcomed. While not rude, the service was reserved.
