Terrible place and employees, reserved a unit to move in on 05/22/2025 and in order to reserve the unit you have to put your credit card info, why do I get charged on the day of making the reservation 05/15/2025 when I chose move in day 0/5/22??!! Called to either get that portion back or cancel my whole reservation and after 3 useless employees I get told "the policy" they can't do either!! no where in their lease agreement said anything about wrongful credit card charge no other place does that, when you reserve something you put your cc for hold and get charged on the day of the move-in, check in whatever it is, these people that they won't refund me! Since the company has been bought out by iStorage (owned by a public traded company) the place has become a dump! They cut cost by raising the temperature in the buildings (85 degrees +). It's not climate controlled so don't waste your money if that's what you think your needs are! We'll be moving out after 15 yrs as a dedicated customer. read more

The facility is nice but they keep raising the rent and they charge your renters insurance without letting you know. I called the company that does the insurance and it looks like the storage place wasn't even keeping up with the payments. So they are just pocketing the money. What a scam. read more

All is well God see all, i ask to downsized due to change in employment status, management says the price would be at least 50 dolars less so i took it after months rent raised back up to 10 dollars less than what I was already paying . Beware of the scam tricks and lame excuses they give to get you in because their aim is to raising the rent so you could either transfer or move out. I'm grateful God is in control. Cost friendly and easy to navigate. I stored my belongings here in a 10x14 for 6 months and everything was intact when I returned for my move. The prices are reasonable and the units are kept at room temp and in immaculate condition. Keys are provided to you for easy access. Make sure you don't lose any of them or you know what happens next. Locks are high quality as well to out your mind at ease about people breaking in. A mistake was made and I was signed up for a second unit I didn't know about and was charged for it from May 2022 through December 2022. When the mistake was discovered in the fall, and ACKNOWLEDGED BY MANAGEMENT, multiple attempts were made by me both in store and via telephone (once via telephone IN the lobby because the guy on hand wouldn't pick up the phone himself and then threatened to call the police to remove me and my three year old from his lobby) to correct the problem and, to date, they still owe me almost $1000. The same guy also attempted to trick me into signing a lease agreement on December 31, I guess to try to justify all the money they'd stolen from me. read more

We used to really like this facility. The owners were very nice and responsive. Since iStorage has taken over it's gone downhill. The halls are dirty. They don't have any trash can out so people seem to be just throwing their trash on the floors. Their prices have gone up and don't email the bill until after it's late and they've tacked on a $10 fee. read more

istorage pricing practices are fraudulent. I was charged from the date I made the reservation not the date I reserved it for. I have tried on numerous occasions to contact them with no response. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau, which they did not respond to. Theit management is either shoddy or fraudulent. Buyer beware. read more

First order of business. Eric & Jackie (property managers) are absolutely wonderful, they have such great energy and made the process seamless. The storage unit is well kept, safe, well lit, and heavily secured. When I went to retrieve my belongings they were just as I left them. My only advice would be not to choose a unit with a column in it because it seems like it cuts the size a bit... but those are things you will discus while on the property tour. I will definitely use Proguard again. read more

We have been storing goods here for the past two years. They recently changed management to a company named IStorage. They have cut the staff to a single person on duty. The place has become filthy and cluttered. One of the elevator lobbies smelled like here was a dead animal nearby. Such a shame as this used to be a good place. I wouldn't do any new business here and look forward to when I can get our possessions out of this place. read more

Love Proguard! Top notch well designed facility with extremely friendly staff and a really cool front lobby with free water/refreshments. Very clean and secure, with well-lit hallways and music playing in the background when you walk to your unit which is cool. Their locks are also much higher quality than other places I have used to store. Their carts were also very helpful when I moved in and the manager stayed late to show me the storage unit I wanted to rent. Thanks Proguard for a great experience! read more

Really, really like this place. Compared to our last place we rented from, this place is stellar. The very nice couple who run the place are very friendly & not pushy. We were shown our storage unit & were impressed with the security of the place. They also sell a variety of packing material. There are several moving carts for renters to use as this place is huge. Love, love how clean the storage area is. The hallways are very well lit & the place is climate controlled. And the best part? We are paying less than our last non-climate controlled unit. Yep, we moved on up to this place & very satisfied with our choice for storage needs. read more

Pathetic. First, this business was sold last year and is no longer called Pro-Guard. **Looking at the dates shown here, the good ratings you see here are from the time of previous owners.** It now belongs to the chain store iStorage, which thinks they can run mini-storage like an Air-bnb out of an apartment complex somewhere. Trouble is, they then RAISED RATES A LOT rather than selling anything cheaper, and everything else they provide is DOWNGRADED. Customer service now is almost nonexistent. Office is usually closed during the posted office hours, and the bathrooms locked as well. No one is there. Security has gone into the toilet. No one lives on the premises anymore. Security cameras don't seem to be on. Carts missing. Floors dirty, not swept. No trash cans. Then they hit you with a stout price increase; It's up at least 25% while service has been cut through the bone. This place is now god-awful and the company deserves bankruptcy. read more

I had a terrible experience. If I could, I would give 0 stars. The man and wife who runs this place broke their own contract 2x's then tried really hard not to take accountability for it. On top of that, instead of admitting they messed up, they accused me of wanting money as compensation. I never once mentioned compensation. I was looking for an admittance of fault and to know exactly what happened. Instead, Connie just kept telling me that my unit had been opened and the lock had been moved to where I was unable to access my own belongings (at a time when I depended on it), but yet they weren't sure why. WTF??!! My bill was paid in full as it was set to autodraft, yet for some reason I was locked out of my unit. Accident or not, why don't you know what happened? There are cameras everywhere! How and why was my unit accessed and the lock changed to not let me in? Instead of treating me extremely poorly as a customer (Mitch actually berated me while I was trying to speak to Connie over the phone, as if a.) I was a child and not a paying client, and b.) as if it was acceptable business practices to speak to their client in such a hostile manner) instead, maybe just check your cameras and tell me what the hell happened. I never received a definitive answer just a BS apology. There's no excuse for such poor behavior. Everyone is "going through it." The whole world is trying to move past Covid. Do better or try a new industry perhaps. And to be clear, I did not get my belongings taken over not paying or anything like that. I removed my belongings well before officially moving out. These two clowns were awful to deal with and after the second time they broke the contract I decided to pack up my belongings and go elsewhere. The Proguard Memorial Storage facility is great and very cost competitive. The entire parking area is under cover, so you can load/unload no matter what the weather conditions without any issues. They have plenty of carts in each elevator lobby, and each elevator lobby is secured, so you have to have a code to get into the elevator or access the storage units. The management staff has always been very helpful and friendly, and they even provide complimentary cold bottled water to keep you hydrated as you move your belongings in/out. I had previously rented a 5x10 and 10x10 unit elsewhere in the area, and I am paying less per month here for a 10x20. They told me that rates would remain as-is as long as the entire building still had available capacity. That really made me think hard about giving Proguard an honest review. ;-) read more

I was with Proguard for 3 or 4 years before they sold to I Storage... I am giving negative stars because 1 is too much! Nothing but problems since! first I went to re register my card with them when they took over and they claimed my unit was empty... We went to look and it was full! Left my info and then came back in a few weeks to get something and I am locked out.. asked the front desk what was going on and again my unit is empty! figured it out after verifying again.. Made a one time payment and told them I am closing my account after this month. Reply was they need ten days notice. I emptied my unit out on May 24 sent an email and closed out online only because every time I get over there they are on the phone or dealing with another un-satisfied customer. I am busy I can not wait an hour to talk to someone. I do not get an call backs nor replies to my cancelation emails confirming the account is closed. I sent 3 or 4 emails and called 2 times and nothing... This morning I get a delinquency notice email! really.... I called and left another message because I am early to work and had a few minutes and now I will walk over at lunch I guess and wait in line with the other un happy customers to make sure they CLOSE MY ACCOUNT! read more

The facility is excellent with good security. Unfortunately the facility has no backup generator, so if there are items you need from your storage unit when there is a storm in the gulf or an ice storm is on the way.....you better get them ahead of time. But that is not the main reason for only two stars. We were struggling to finish emptying out the last of our two units during a month when my 89 year old father had a malignant brain tumor removed and my wife's parents were relocating in assisted living facilities. My wife contacted Connie indicating we might need an extra day to vacate the last unit. Connie said that they "do not pro-rate." So, with me working at home, my wife juggled many issues and emptied the facility on the last day of March 2021 to avoid an additional $209 rental charge. As she stood in line at 5:30 to turn in keys a woman who was purchasing boxes saw Mitch and said "that is the nice man who pro-rated my unit!" Imagine how my "pack mule" wife felt. After having two units with them for many months.....shame on them. read more
